Odds on Bioware asking Yvonne to record a few lines for the 'Make Everything OK' DLC?  100/1?  A million/1? Image IPB

Yes, near to zero. They won't cast the expensive celebrities to record a free DLC.
Even Arrival(?), a very well paid DLC, couldn't effort Seth Green to speak some additional stuff.

She could be available soon, so why not.
Bioware could ask her to record some lines for the extended cut DLC and for an another one (romance / ME2 squadmates DLC).

Kind of off topic, but is anyone else kind of hesitant to invest in another franchise as heavily as you may have with ME? I mean, formerly (and still somewhat) amazing characters being given the shaft (The pet favorites still being untouched, as is to be expected), stories being mangled, blatant and all-too-obvious damage control (That's nigh ineffectual), and the like.

Only if Mac Walters and Casey Hudson are in charge.

Yep. I guess they'll have lost a lot of goodwill and reputation over this. Any future project of theirs will be viewed with suspicion.

Well, if the effort of fans has any value inside BioWare and they decide to improve on the ME2-squadmates, it is very likely that the recording for Extended Cut will be made within the prize, yes.

Anyhow, I don't really trust on BioWare actually doing that ME2-squadmate DLC. I have lost my faith in them after all these broken promises...

If they make a good Extended Cut DLC with voiced LIs in a reunion scene, that would repair quite a bit of the damage done with the original endings. I wonder if they're prepared to underwrite the expense though.

As for ME2 LI DLC, all we can do is keep reminding them.

Chapter five of The Space That Separates is done, involving that first meeting with Shepard.

It was actually a little tricky to make something out of existing stuff there. Tried to keep the pertinent stuff in anyway.
Usual 'feedback welcome' applies. Enjoy!

Its a short vid that stars Yvonne and well I left me slightly turned on and yet distrubed at the same time lol

Honestly it isn't Bioware as a whole that I have a problem with, just the decision makers.  I can't help but wonder what would have happened if someone had been there to keep those two in check.

Btw Ieldra2, I didn't see your name on the LIA letter contributors list.  Are you still writing one?

The same reason why they kept the ME2 character as simplest as they could, $$$$.

They didn't put enough resources to them in the main game, I doubt they'll do it with the DLC. They will only fill the plotholes of the endings (Normandy running away from battle, the ground team boarding the Normandy, etc).

I think it was a three or four pages letter. It looked more like an article.

I had submitted something, but I overlooked that it was too long. I have to shorten it before submitting. Putting my take on Miranda's romance from a rp perspective onto one page won't be easy. Perhaps I'll submit the longer version for the fanbook.

Definitely. This was the first franchise I got into other than Kingdom Hearts, because I used to primarily play sports games. Now, I'm not sure I can bring myself to invest in another series (of course, I'm not sure I'll keep with the sports ones either since they're becoming geared more towards realism and that's not something I'm keen on).

Assigning resources to a character is a form of being deliberate. My impression is that we have the framework of a story arc that coud've been good, had a different writer been assigned to her, had she had more presence on "her" mission, had there been one more scene where she could've shown off, were the scene with her father extended etc. etc.. Then add her to Cronos Station and everything would have been fine.

I blame Walters and Hudson. Walters didn't want anyone with the potential to steal the spotlight from Liara. Hudson didn't want controversial characters. Both are heavyweights in the decision making process about resource allocation and mission design, and here we have the result.

If what you say is true, how can he justify....well ANY character in the Mass Effect series? Samara hunted and killed her oldest daughter. Legion and EDI attempt to defy the notion of synthetics not having a soul. TiM? 'Nuff said.

It just makes no sense to me that a cover character from ME-2 didn't actually have the support of the 2 most important decision makers of the game...I mean, it makes me wonder whose making the decisions at Bioware that make us want to buy their games? And whose making the decisions at Bioware that make Bioware devs feel good about themselves?

I'll be skeptical, that's for sure. I'm never buying another Bioware game, I'm sure of it. Especially if this Extended Cut DLC comes out and attempts to answer 15 of the 438 plotholes and questions that the ending opened up, while keeping the inclusion of the Starchild.

I loved Oblivion, played thru it at least 3 times. Enjoyed Skyrim but the constant dragon fighting whenver I just wanted to walk somewhere was annoying, so I traded it back quickly. Didn't enjoy Fallout 3, WAY too dreary. I'll pick my spots. But I will never put this much faith in a game developer, not even SCEA who makes MLB The Show. These devs, they seemingly always manage to screw u....

Perhaps I should clarify: They didn't want characters to *stay* controversial. The wanted them to be clearly on the side of the good guys in the end, probably mistaking that as a kind of closure. No remnant of a Cerberus taint should remain on Miranda at the end. Ashley's completely lost her distrust of nonhumans. Like with Miranda and Cerberus, that could be believable character development, only we never see it mentioned. It's just dropped as if it never existed. And note how Samara is never actually forced to break her Code, make a choice between Code and family? For Miranda specifically, they never touched upon her mission-oriented pragmatism again, or on her genetic engineering. Why? There is every reason to include it, and no reason at all to simply drop it, if there wasn't an agenda to stick with "safe" issues.

I got bored at Palaven.  Between the autodialog and forced Liara conversations, it's not worth playing again.

Can someone explain something to me? In ME2 Miranda says this: "the husks was already dead", what that she mean that the people was already dead before Cerberus turned them into husks in ME?

Cerberus didn't learn how to make husks until ME3  - hence Henry's experiements.

They were probably experimenting with the husks that were being transformed by the Thorian and experimented on by ExoGeni.

I`m talking about the Cerberus bases in ME where Shepard find husks, thorian creepers and rachni.

Cerberus could have easily found and captured those husks in the wake of some geth attack. There is no reason to believe Cerberus turned humans into husks in ME1. Miranda, clearly, didn't.

You know, I believe it's no coincidence that Liara is one of the very few characters that is possible to blatantly kill off.

I stopped playing at the begining of my second playthrough. The lack of Miranda is unbearable.
I'm still playing MP, but I think I'm going to stop soon.

The only missiosn I enjoyed were Surkesh, Tuchanka (curing the genophage and disarming the bomb), Rannoch (virtual world, and upgrading the geths).

The rest is a long and bored agony. Thessia is rushed, Sanctuary is bored, Cronos is unforgiven (why can't I have Miranda there?), taking Earth isn't even half of the SM.

I've played more MP than SP. The campaign is so disappointing without my favorite character in it.

I'm still replayung my main Shepard for a "perfect" playthrough with 7500+ TMS, after that I'll only play occasionally.

The lack of Miranda is demotivating.
