I wouldn't worry about that. The odds are probably 99.99% to none if you do everything right.

I guess it's possible. I've just noticed that there are a lot of conflicting reports, with some people being quite confident that she survives even though X didn't happen, and others having trouble despite trying to cover all the conditions.

It's complicated enough that maybe that is all due to posters not remembering clearly, or accidentally not doing something right, or whatever, I guess? 

But it's odd, then, that you get people who are convinced she survives in non-imports and so on. A percentage chance that gets weighted one way or another would explain the disagreement (hence the idea, but I haven't tried to test it systematically). If the chances are really low in certain situations, it might actually be quite a pain for one person to test it out anyway.

Well if we take people at their word that they did everything and yet she still died, that means that there is some variable there that we're missing. Its either a dice roll or its waiting too long to do sanctuary. Since theres really never been a dice roll kind of thing in the series and there has been a wait too long thing (saving your crew at the collector base)...its reasonable to believe that it may be a factor

Yeah, it's definitely plausible and could explain the deaths for people who think they have done everything right.

I remember doing THIS drawing. I was drawing this before ME3 was released, and before we new the Miri was to be in her White Outfit. It was a drawing where Miri had an outfit of my design. I stopped though.



I stopped because when I started to color, it didn't look right. What I'm going to do is change the outfit into her white outfit. Fortunately, her hair is pretty accurate, for ME3's Standards. And I'll probably cut the picture in half. Too many heaxgons if done for body.

Yeah, maybe a bit

It does seem over-designed.

Jack's situation is not necessarily all that different, as there is a timer on the grissom mission, I believe, and another decision that you can get wrong, and she is already dead in non-imports. Miranda's situation is even more complicated, though.

I agree with Flemm and ENorman...it does seem a bit overdone.
Flemm, what is that decision that makes Jack dead in non-imports? (besides her dying in the Suicide Mission [derp] unless thats what you meant)

Also, did you add the pictures that JB and I posted to the project yet? I may have some more coming later...is there a deadline?

I am going to be making a very thorough post soon about the Miranda fanbook project, which will include a detailed description of all types of submissions we are looking for, and some more information.


On the specific subject of screenshots: think in terms of the ones that would be most important to you, the ones you would most want to see included. I say that because screenshots are something that it is easy to accumulate a lot of (we could easily end up with dozens and dozens of them). But we want it to be balanced with the rest of the book.

So, post as many as you like, but think about which ones mean the most to you. Screenshots are the one area where I'm not sure we will be able to include everything that is submitted.

Hmmm, yeah, he might. I think that's one reason why the recommended course of action is to send him back with the crew.

I don't think there's a "wait too long to do Sanctuary and Miranda dies." Admittedly, I've only done one playthrough, so I haven't really tested it out, but IIRC, I did Sanctuary right before Cronos Station and Miranda survived.

Yeah, you're right. Looking back over it, he is simply the first in line to die, and he contributes very little to the "Hold the Line" score.

Personally, the ones I posted last night were the best ones I could find.
Of course, when I get around to trying to post a few more, I could have overlooked a couple of really good ones, but we'll see. I'm happy with most if not all of my screens.

I know that was a rough draft but I love it, you should keep at it and finish it. I'm really disappointed Miranda and Jacob kept their Cerberus non-logo garb. I was hoping we'd get a little grittier outfit for both of them, especially Miranda. I always wanted her to have an outfit similar to Sarah Connor's outift on the Chronicle promotionals...but yea, that's just my opinion on the matter

No problem there. I will explain all of this in my upcoming post but, if you submit screenshots, we will definitely include some of those screenshots. Ideally all, but I'm just a little wary of the screenshot side of things getting out of hand. So, in that area, I think we will need to reserve the right to make a selection.

With letters, fic and art, we will include all submissions.

I'll try my hand at a fanart, but I can't promise anything. I suck at all kinds of drawing, and I haven't attempted any in a long time. Needless to say, I'm not one for artistic integrity.
