I wish they had made ME3 into two game. First game, Shepard unites the races. We gather War Assets, kill a few Destroyers and it ends with the battle on Cronos where TIM actually is.
ME3 part 2 would be solely focused on bringing the fight to the Reapers. They could go crazy, same mechanics as ME2 but with entire fleets taking the place of the squadmates.

David Silverman said a number of times via his twitter that they would not be doing a making of DVD but instead doing that for their Bioware Pulse episodes.  This was long ago I remember (last year).

Out of curiosity, does that mean episodes prior to release or episodes we would be seeing now if not for the whole endings fiasco?

Prior.  They also said they'd have Pulse episodes return after launch....no such thing has happened.

EDIT: Read that wrong, it sounded like it would be both before and after.  We did see some "making of" episodes before launch.

I don't really think anyone on the ME team is going to come out saying that they're happy with the game considering the current mood of the fanbase.

I thought the whole Suicide Mission mechanic in ME2 was neat I think that it would have been better suited to ME3. ME1 and 2 give us a team of the galaxy's best and brightest for Shepard to fight alongside, ME3 should have been Shepard rallying his allies, and his team to go and embark on a mission from which they might not return.

I wanted sort of an "Avengers Assemble!" moment before the march to the Conduit where the the surviving members of Shepard's squad rejoin Shepard for the final push instead of having "Nothing Happens Here" area where all we get are a bunch of vidcalls.

Agreed. It's a mechanic better suited for the finale, ironically.

Also ironically, the character deaths are one of the SM's weak points. I think you could have orchestrated this differently and not detracted from the overall awesomeness of the ME2 finale.

I agree completely. I was totaly ready to yell Avengers assemble at the end. I thought I was gonna get into the war room Anderson would do his briefing and then I would go and talk to my FULL squad me1/2/3 characters give a big Speach to all of them and then go do suicide mission 2.0.  Instead I got a telephone call and horde mode.

Please help us maximize the chances the Ending DLC is good by playing singleplayer on Saturday.

- Who are you and what is your motivation?

We are fans of the Mass Effect franchise who were disappointed by the way the ending of Shepard's story was handled. We want to maximize the chances that fans will be satisfied by the Ending DLC. While many of us are Retake/HTL members, we do not claim to speak for the majority of either group.

- Retake has already won. What is the point of this?

While the production of a free Ending DLC is a step in the right direction, the announcement Bioware made was vague and could apply equally well to either a multi-hour playable extravaganza or a handful of epilogue slides stating things like: "ReaperGarrus lived for many happy days on Gilligan's planet before he finished consuming Tali's dead body and died of starvation." Our goal is to help Bioware get the funding it needs to produce the former.

- Why didn't you specify what a "satisfactory ending" is?

The fanbase is diverse and not everyone wants the same thing. (However, we suspect very few people will be moved to boycott Bioware if MORE CHOICES are provided.) Also, we trust that the company which made the Tuchanka missions is more than capable of pleasing the majority of fans if they internally peer-review their work. It is not our intent to demand specific plot points or outcomes. Bioware has over 600 pages of fan feedback and multiple polls to point them in the right direction.

- Why should I take part in Turn it On/Turn it Off?

If EA is presented with clear evidence that the quality of the Ending DLC will mean the difference between regaining supportive fans and driving away their customers, we believe they will finance a better product. It is imperative for people who can't currently bring themselves to replay the SP campaign to stand up and be counted instead of being written off as a "lost cause." Also, it's important that the "wait and see" crowd make their voices heard now while we still have time to effect positive change. Finally, it's free and easy to do.

- Why are you trying to destroy Bioware?

We're not. We want them to make an Ending DLC that is worthy of the rest of the game and then reap the rewards of their success. To that end, many of us will encourage our friends who haven't played Mass Effect 3 to download the demo (http://masseffect.com/about/demo/) during Phase 1. We are more than willing to bring new customers to the franchise if the ending is fixed properly.

Origin registers the number of user playing at any given time.
Let's say that this movement can get a thousand people playing at once on the 28th. Then, those thousand will not touch the game on the 29th.
That could serve to show EA the amount of support they stand to gain or lose depending on the quality of the Extended Cut.
Or something akin to that, right?

You are amazing. Thank you! love.png

Turn it on/Turn it off for Bioware

Facts:

- Whether you are hopeful or cynical about the new Ending DLC, one
thing is clear: it's Bioware's last, best chance to win back the
fanbase.

- It is in everyone's interest that the DLC be a fitting conclusion to this amazing series.

- Bioware is currently in the process of finalizing plans for the DLC, including allocating resources for its creation.

- Because many people have not been playing the SP campaign, EA may
have the mistaken impression that SP is a "lost cause" and so may not
fund the Ending DLC properly -- especially since they are committed to
giving it to us for free.

- EA/Bioware can monitor the number
of people playing Mass Effect 3 through Origin, and we can use this to
give them relevant data about ourfuture buying habits.

---------------------------------------

We propose giving EA and Bioware immediate feedback on the
importance of the Ending DLC, so they can allocate sufficient resources
to make a quality product.

To that end, we propose the following campaign:

We will turn ON our single player game during a pre-defined period
to show EA/Bioware the number of passionate fans who love the series
andwho will continue to buy their products IF the DLC provides a
satisfactory ending.

We will then turn OFF our game and
refuse to play for a pre-defined time period to give EA/Bioware a clear
idea of the potential loss of custom and support they will suffer if the
DLC is NOT satisfying.

How to take part:

- Turn ON the Mass Effect 3 single player campaign at some point
during Saturday, April 28th (Pacific Time/GMT -7). It does not need to
be on for the entire 24 hour period.

- Tweet Bioware/EA
(#turnMEon) to let them know you are playing in order to show them the
number of fans who support them. Post an after action report on the BSN.

- Turn OFF Mass Effect 3 do not play either single or multiplayer
for the entirety of Sunday, April 29th (Pacific Time/GMT -7). The game
must be shut off for the entire 24 hour period. Do not login to the BSN
forum during this time. If you have an iPhone or iPad, turn off the
Datapad app using the orange Origin circle in the upper right hand
corner.

- Tweet Bioware/EA again (#turnMEoff) to let them
know you are demonstrating their potential loss of customers. This is a
good time to let them know if you're happy with closure or want new
endings.

That's all! The greater the difference between the
two days, the more incentive EA will have to fund the DLC properly.
Bioware is more than capable of giving us an amazing conclusion to this
saga if they have the financial support to do it right.

THAT'S IT! When I get Money Again, I'm going to order the Miri Action Figure, and possibly others to create a large collection. I will also be making a Custom Miri Shirt, and I'll Probably either print out a Miri Drawing of My OWN to frame, or an Official Miri Picture.

I'm not expecting any changes in what's already there gameplay-wise. At minimum I'm expecting to see epilogue cards similar to what we get in Dragon Age: Origins. At most I'm expecting an extended cinematic with some spoken dialogue.

In addition, I'm expecting some added dialogue options in the starchild sequence.

A personal meeting with Miranda pre-ending would be nice, but it would add almost nothing if it was just dialogue again and didn't include a kiss, a hug or something like it. If all they do is speak, vidcom's just as good. Also I don't really expect the EC to change anything before the meeting with the Catalyst.

The biggest irony is that Bioware said they didn't like the way the SM turned out, while being perfectly happy with ME3's ending. Incomprehensible.

BTW, too much OT on the last two pages.....

Proposition, to stir debate: Henry Lawson should have not been killed. Death is a bit one size fits all. No, Miranda should have let him live, stripped him of his resources and sent him to the Alliance for trial. Let him die knowing that whatever advances he made, he'll be remembered as the man who killed millions. Miranda could treat him like an insect to show he no longer dominates her.

I like it but I think what Miranda did was in-character. Once Miranda has classified someone as a threat; Wilson, for instance; she will remove the threat as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Your last phrase should have happened, tough, even if only during that one conversation with Henry. Miranda owning her gifts and achievements was a Must...and it wasn't even brought up.

There should have been a confrontation similar to the one Shepard has with TIM at the end. Henry is the villain of Miranda's story. But the problem is we can't make decisions for her, so they would have to fix her attitude towards her gifts and achievements. Apparently they didn't want her to own them - I can't imagine any of her fans would've objected to that. So they chickened out and left things for the players' imagination at the expense of Miranda as a character. It's basically the same they did to her Cerberus arc.

I think Henry dead is the best outcome in storytelling terms. But yeah, a more in-depth confrontation with Henry trying to take credit for everything Miranda's done, and Miranda refuting him and treating him with the contempt he deserves, that should've been there.

Working on the third strip of the comic. Miranda briefs the team (garrus, jack, thane, grunt, tali and so on) about the mission, any unique quotes you have in mind, from the team regarding Miranda leading the group.
( I would like to see Jacks, comment on Miranda being in command):P

Drunk Tali said someting you could include in this: "I don't like her, but I respect her. Sometimes that's better than liking". I guess that could have been the case for some other squadmates as well.

I think Lawson should be a "too dangerous to leave alive" case anyway. Someone whose influence would still be felt even if he was in prison. So yeah, killing him is a must.

Sorry. Sorry. It had to be done. You didnt have to watch me play the suicide mission.

Comic related topic, idea of how Faust's light armor would look like.
Armor v.A1
Sorry if you cant read my messy tablet handwritting. Still toying with ideas.

On the topic of Miranda and Henry, I think it's perfectly reasonable for Miranda to kill Henry. If he had lived and faced trial, there's still the possibility of him hurting both herself and Oriana. Taking him out of the equation set both of them free from his grasp. Also, she made sure everything he knew about how to control reapers goes to the grave with him. The Alliance might not like it but knowledge like that shouldn't be taught to anyone else.
