I tried to make a few today, but can it be that her outfit is even more low-res than in ME2?

Bonjour!! Comment se fait-tout le monde aujourd'hui?
@Ieldra2: It mainly is because she doesn't appear much. There a few good ones in the first converstation, none in the second, few during the romance and few in sanctuary. In ME2, she was there, in the normandy, as the XO, had her own mission, a REAL romance scene and you could give her assignments in the end. There was just sooooooo much more content, sadly

Thanks for posting another Miranda picture, yesikareyes. Does anyone notice that almost no screenshots from ME3 are posted? Guess there aren't many good ones.

Sure thing!
Btw, Tricia Helfer mentioned on twitter that she will do more voicework for ME3 on Monday. She doesn't say it's for the Extended Cut but still good news! Here's to hoping for Strahovski!

Sure thing!Yeah, I noticed that too. It's also because she doesn't have that much scenes to begin with. Unlike ME2, a plethora of Miranda.

Just played Sanctuary again (replaying my main Shepard to get a perfect result). The romance part of the scene is nice, as is generally the interaction between Shepard and Miranda, but Miranda vs. father is a joke and that she just goes away at the end is a storytelling crime.
Agreed 1000000%. I could probably live with the father being a non-character if that didn't happen. But the combination of the two is just an utter fail on every level.

I'd rather have a "Sorry Miranda, your father is in another Castle" than having that scene...

This is the moment where i was the most frustated in the game. It simply doesn't make sense whatsoever. Like a said many times, her not coming along to hit the illusive man would be like tali not coming during the geth/quarian arc.flemm wrote...

- No dialogue abour her past with Cerberus, or her thoughts about their new direction.
- No real confrontation with her father. Two words aren't enough for tormenting her for 16(?) years.
- No real contribution in her alive scenario.
- No precense on Cronos station. The most logical character to be on TIM base isn't there with you, just as kratos said, is like not having tali on rannoch arc.
About the romance:
- The lack of affection. Not even a visual kiss were both of them make out alive.
- No real love scene, neither a pillow talk.
- Shepard wakes up alone after the last nightmare with the boy, not having his lover at his side.
- The flashback fiasco.
- Shepard can't keep his promise.

I was born in the LA area and lived in Southern California until I was 10. I couldn't bring myself to watch "Battlefield: LA" for that reason, so I know what you mean. I live in Northern California now, but I'm still miss Southern Cal.CuseGirl wrote...
How did I miss that bit of dialogue? Born and raised in Brooklyn. And I really do get upset when EVERY FREAKING MOVIE decides to blow up NYC first. I truly think non-NY movie makers, when they get the opportunity, they have to satisfy some bloodlust over NYC, because their Oopoopadoo Podunk Town isn't called the Greatest City in the World......Dr. Doctor wrote...

So true lol...
I'm afraid the fact that it's a novice writer/director really shows through in that scene as well ("director" because I think the writers work with the cinematic designers).
There are some elements of it that should have been cool and aren't because of the implementation. The Leng fight is the most obvious.
But the way the father is killed is another one. I think the idea is partly: Shepard is ready to let the father go (in a lot of scenarios) and make a deal, but Miranda overrides that judgment. So, theoretically, this showcases Miranda's independance. The problem is how contrived the whole thing feels, together with the fact the father comes across as a total douchebag that either Miranda or Shepard could squash at any time with barely a thought, thus robbing the whole thing of any weight.
If Henry is formidable, then everything changes. I think a more experienced writer might have understood this.
The whole thing screams "novice," i.e. something like: the father is someone we are supposed to dislike, so he should come across as contemptible. With no more thought given to it than that.

is it just me or the skin textures for most female humans look better in ME2? Especially Miranda.
It could be the lighting, ME3 uses a lot of greys, blues and whites in its color palette so it makes almost everybody look washed out. That and Epic Games usually decides that it's time to adjust how the Unreal 3 engine renders skin with every other update.

Miranda's suit is actually the same resolution as the rest of the ME3 outfits. Although it's been tweaked a little, the hexagon pattern is now made to look a lot less "bumpy" than it did in ME2.
As for Miranda not being in too many screenshots, I'm trying to figure out how to replace EDI's model with Miranda's.

While the presentation is not stellar, Henry is not as impressive as we had envisioned him to be and the omission of a meaningful discussion between him and his progeny is unforgivable, I got the impression that the writer, at the very least, attempted to stay faithful to how Miranda describes Henry in ME2.
It may be so that I am grasping at straws but I could see a scientist, a businessman who believes in a human-positive agenda, a supremelly egotistical bastard and even a father who could spoil his child as long as it served his purposes.
I'm going to give credit where it is due. This, of course, does not excuse the faults that exist with how Miranda and her story are written in ME3.

And btw, I know about the alcoholic Aussie poet called Henry Lawson,. but I think that the writers should have made a less direct connection betwen the fictional character and the real person. Miranda keeping her real surname when she is been hiding from him just doesn't have any sense.

Not sure, but you're right about Miranda. There's a hint of three-dimensionality in MIranda's ME2 outfit, that becomes more apparent with high-res mods. That's completely gone in ME3.Asakawa wrote...
