Why are you saying such perverted things like this? I have no doubts that Liaramancers and Talimancers come here and lurk. We must hold in a bit of that perversion and not be so graphic. I don't want this thread to be the laughing stock of BSN in their eyes.

I don't think Miri would be amused either, ehehe.

I agree with your assessment, jtav.

Frankly, I'd be interested to hear what she has to say on most things in ME3. Especially from an ex-Cerberus point of view.

"Oh, look, the salarians were hiding away Krogan females."
"The turians still had a doomsday device on Tuchanka? Charming."
"Those lovely asari had Prothean technology that they were keeping secret."

I think she'd just facepalm at Shepard's massive immaturity.

Speaking of immaturity....

What Alliance rank do you reckon would suit Miranda?
Rear Admiral, I would say.

I think she would be amused at the quick wit it takes to come up with these.

And who cares what other people think?

It's why I think it's a shame she isn't squaddie. Forget the romance. The mere thought of the Cerberus 2IC having to work with the Alliance and deal with her boss going off the deep end should have had the writers rubbing their hands in glee.

It certainly would have been interesting. Clearly the idea was to return to an ME1-style squad where everybody basically gets along/is uncontroversial. A little tension with the VS initially, but that gets resolved pretty quickly.

I don't think that was a great idea, really. It's a step backwards, if anything.

True that! This is a Miranda appreciation thread, not a Love interest diplomacy thread. :o

Quick question. Is there a way to influence which squad member in ME2 does certain things in the background during certain cutscenes? Like, on Samara's recruitment mission when you talk to the drugged up volus, is there a way to "pick" who he walks toward and threaten (or whatever he says to them). Or who nearly falls off the platform in the Collector Base? I was just wondering because it's kind of weird to see Shepard risking his life for Legion every time.

There's no way to show appreciation for someone than to make witty quips thinly veiling sexual jokes concerning foodstuffs.

Of course lol, but we can't go too long without those either... It's been a while since the thread's "banana phase" a few weeks ago.

Back to my other point, overall the central problem is that, with Miranda around, the idea that Cerberus had an idealistic element/was not purely evil has to come to the fore.

Miranda can and should oppose ME3 Cerberus, but the idea would have to be present that it was not always this way/did not have to be this way.

The game as currently constituted is not ready to admit that possibility. Which is a little odd, since the lead writer obviously has some interest in this.

Agreed. It was great fun watching watching Jack and Miranda go at it or having people adjust to working with a geth. And it allowed for ambiguity. Miranda holds up Cerberus as a great thing, but Jack won't let you forget their dark dide. In ME3, everyone except Javik is basically nice and cut from the same moral cloth. Boring.

At the CB I think there is, yeah. I don't remember how it works, exactly, though. maybe the second squaddie you pick? Something like that.

It's possible to some point. If you want to get someone to do a certain thing, there is always a squadmate who will "let him/her do it". It's different for every cutscene, so you will have to try out different characters for each.
Example: In the suicide-mission, Legion "allowed" me to catch Miranda and get pulled up by her on the Normandy, while Garrus didn't allow me to do that. I catched him and got pulled up by him.

Seems to be some strange ranking in the background... it doesn't matter in which order you pick them, though. Already tried that.

Besides, it's not like I'm a man jacking off to these jokes. I take it all in good humor or what you call tongue in cheek  This is why I enjoy movies like Piranha so much.

This is why the people who get up in arms over these little episodes make me cringe a little.

It's easy actually. On the hud, below your health, there is the icon of your squadmate. It depends where their icon is. If you want miranda to fall in the collcetor base, she needs to be on the right. I don't know how the icons position themselves however each time you die, when you come back the icons will have switched.;)

That's an annoying way to do it.  lol.  But thanks, I'll try that next time I go through.
