This is probably unique to me, but does anyone else feel a bit...trapped by the romance? Here's a brief summary of my attempt at MShep:

1. Try and fail to stay single in ME2
2. Meet Kaidan and get giddy about romance
3. Break up with Miranda. Feel guilty about getting her killed. Reload.
4. Attempt to cheat. Feel even worse because cheaters are scum.
5. See Miranda's romance through to conclusion.
6. Repeat.
7. Realize I still haven't romanced Kaidan.

It's easy actually. On the hud, below your health, there is the icon of your squadmate. It depends where their icon is. If you want miranda to fall in the collcetor base, she needs to be on the right. I don't know how the icons position themselves however each time you die, when you come back the icons will have switched.

That's an annoying way to do it.  lol.  But thanks, I'll try that next time I go through.

i know it sucks. When i play the human reaper fight, if miranda isn't on the right i would run to a collector hord to make myself killed

Well......you can always play as Femshep.

Speaking of Kaidan. If I save him as a Male in ME1, Shep won't hold him all tenderly on Mars in ME3 like Ash, will he?

Shepard only holds ashley tenderly if he romanced her in ME1, so no he won't do it for kaidan.

And I've pretty much sworn off MShep, but I'd like to see my mShep and Liara romances. *groans*

Not personally, no, because:

1) My Shepard has no interest in the other romances to speak of.
2) If I did decide to change romances for some reason, I'm not enough of a roleplayer to mind overwriting the romance.

I agree that it's a dumb death condition, though. I imagine the thinking is that you lose her loyalty by doing this, so she reverts to non-loyal, essentially. Even though that makes a certain amount of sense, it's still an awkward choice and feels odd to single Miranda out in this way.

So. Yeah...definitely disappointed with how the series ended, but they handled Miranda fairly well whenever she actually showed up.

Would've liked to see so much more though. I was reading through that great fanfic, Intersitium, again, and during the chapter when Shepard leaves Miranda with Wrex, I wondered how great it would've been if that was how Wrex and her interacted in game...and then you got to see Wrex's reaction if Shepard ends up romancing her.

At least it doesn't look like it'd be a hard choice between Ashley and Miranda now. Ashley sure doesn't get much romance content either, does she?

Right, I didn't mean to make it sound like Ashley didn't get the standard LI treatment.

But how many conversations can you have with her? In my run through of ME3, I didn't have 1 real conversation once she joined the Normandy, I don't think. Just that drunk scene...

It's the conversations between the beginning and then end that make or break the romance. I would enjoy talking to Miranda about the choices Shepard has had to make during the war more than the sex scene.

Well for me it's

1. Import Shepard who romanced Miranda and do that playthrough.
2. Contemplate importing other Shepard's but end up thinking "what's the point?"

Miranda fans, do not get mad at my head canon, but i decided to do some Dialogue of Miranda Talking to Joker about Katelynn (my fem!Shepard):

Miranda: So joker any reason Shepard is so bratty today?
Joker: must be May 5th already.
Miranda: and the date is significant because-
Joker: you-you don't know? okay, Shepard once had a wife, Emily, who died on Akuze in the Thresher Maw attack.
Miranda: oh, i-i see, that explains it then, uhmm, see you later, Mr. Moreau
Joker: later Miranda.

like i said this is just my head canon but feel free to comment on the dialogue itself, not on the head canon of my fem!Shepard having a past relationship.

I actually agree. I'd rather both, of course, but if I could only have one, I'd take the conversations any day.
