This is why we should do a #FindMiranda really soon. Guys! pessimist or optimist, we all know that we are in this thread because bottomline: We are Miranda fans and we love her.
On a regular basis, really. It's never a bad time
Anyway, I don't think it's necessary to be 100% upbeat all the time. Criticism/discusison, etc. is fine, and we certainly do enough of it lol.
But... no need to go overboard.

That's not an argument at all. You want to play said DLC? Keep Miranda alive. Simple. And I doubt it's much harder to patch the game so the 'isAlive" variable is always true for default games.oh brother wrote...
I like this idea. It at least slightly mitigates the argument "you cannot make DLC for Miranda because she might be dead."
The "might be dead" is no excuse in any individual case. Only if you take the bulk of them does it become harder to account for everything.
I hope you are right. I hope the writers/moneymen see it this way. And even though I personally disagree (a DLC that requires non-importers to have Miranda back from the dead, or forces them to replay a patched game where she does not die, might not seem appealing. Also that patch would be changing a major part of the game just to increase revenues fom DLC sales...might be some issues there) I don't want to argue to strenously against it.
I just think a replacement for dead Miranda (like EDI) would be a good, and less messy, "get out of jail free card", allowing everyone to buy and play the DLC.

I wouldn't go so far as Skull, but I think she's definitely a temptress figure in the minds of the writers. You can have a meaningful relationship, but it feels very grudgingly given.[/quote]

Well if Mirnada was tempation then Im happy to say Im a sinner.
I took the forbidden fruit and you know what its a hellofa lot better than
that crap I was getting before. If Miranda’s romance isn’t a real relationship.
I don’t want to know what is.
The Song "Put your money where your mouth is" by JET comes to mind when I read this lol

And how does it require Miranda back from the dead again? I was under the impression she's alive by default but dies at Sanctuary. In that case the patch would just have to take out that mandatory death. And even if she is dead by default, changing that is no great task. It's not like they're sticking her in where she didn't already have a path and they need to rewrite major parts.
And again who's talking about forced? If you want this DLC, have an import where Miranda survives. Or start a new default game where thanks to this lovely patch that's included she'll stay alive this time. People who can't be bothered to hit new game to play a Miranda DLC don't care about her in the first place and thus wouldn't buy it. The question is simply what the percentage of that faction is.

This deserves a Dat Ass picture. If I was in the Liara thread, I'd post her bouncing GIF if you get what I mean.

Ok. I have saves after sanctuary ready for DLC, and this is what I was basing my opinions on. But maybe this is unusual, and people would start again. If so, no problems.

Excellent. I think we can stop talking about whether this is a possibility now, and start talking about doing everything we can to help make it happen.
Patrick Weekes, you deserve a picture of Dat Ass.
Sadly, I am away from my home computer and cannot post one now.

Meh, not to overreact, he just said he'd likely push for ME2 squad DLC rather than DLC for existing squaddies (or A/K, since that was what the question was about). But it's positive.

She may have been intended to be that, but it absolutely didn't work with me. I never had the wish to break-up. Rather, I was all the more determined to stick with her.jtav wrote...
I do get the sense that Miranda was intended to be the "evil other woman" who served as an obstacle/temptation keeping Shepard away from his true love. I certainly felt a desire to break up with her. Separated lovers can be very romantic, but there's no payoff. I'm not talking about sex. Kissing, embracing, a general sense that it was worth all the pain. Because right now, I'm desperately casting about for a reason to play MShep ever again.
I reserve my wrath for the writers who made her safe and conventional.
