Also: Wrex is the only ME1 char who was not a squaddie, and Miranda is arguably the most popular character introduced in ME2...so good chances?

Well... chances, I think, anyway. And that's all I really need to know.

Miranda was only cheat bait. She never was intended to be a real romance option.

Then they failed, because for me Miranda is the best romance option.

Perhaps not in ME3, but overall....definitely.

Meh, not to overreact, he just said he'd likely push for ME2 squad DLC rather than DLC for existing squaddies (or A/K, since that was what the question was about). But it's positive.

Great!
There is still hope ..

I don't buy the "Miranda as temptress" angle. It is a legit romance with legit reasons for moving on and pursuing.

All opposed can bite my Shepard's fleshy, resurrected ass.

I agree.

And many players didn't romance a character in ME1 ...

It definitely is. More than most (all?) of the other romances, really. And the romance content in ME3 reflects that. I want more, obviously, but the tone is right. Even in the leaked script we could see this. The control chip dialogue especially has a lot of depth and recognizes the complex origins of the relationship.

It's the Sanctuary scenario where Miranda survives that makes it weird. Like their heart wasn't in it. As I said, I just want some kind of payoff here.

The problem is I feel unable to separate the romance content from the characterization. Which means that the good romance content can't save me from dissatisfaction. If she's not the character she promised to be in ME2, that taints the romance as well.

Mu issue with the control ship conv is that is too early. It should have taken place after Sanctuary, where we learn about the advances of controlling reaper forces. Having that dialogue in the apartment feels forced.

Well if we do get more content for Miranda, that's probably one of the first things they should fix.

Perhaps. But it's kind of ironic that the writer of Garrus and Tali is now concerned about ME2 squadmates

I know there are a lot of issues about the control chip and Miranda's role. I know I complain about it at times, but just like what Flemm said... it's what Miranda means to us that matters. I remember I felt the exact same giddiness I felt with Liara's overly sweet romance scene during Miranda's scene as well. Yeah, it wasn't much but my Shepard was so in love with Miranda that I was able to look past the final dialogue in London.

Call me an ideal optimist, but yeah that doesn't mean I won't ask for more content. The more the merrier!

EDIT: So now I've seen people tweeting #findkaidan and #findthane now. Wonder where they got that idea

This makes me hopeful. Also another tweet he makes is good as well.
"Q: ShepskiGuy ‏ @ShepskiGuy
@PatrickWeekes Lots of demand! :D Kaidan fans have $$$ ready for Kaidan comic and Kaidan DLC! >:D

A: PatrickWeekes ‏ @PatrickWeekes
@ShepskiGuy always want more of my favorites -- we all do -- but Kaidan got follower status, could be on every mission post Citadel."

What this means is that any DLC that features characters would feature the sidelined characters, or he would push for those characters. Basically the question asks about Kaidan dlc, Weekes response hints that that may not happen because Kaidan is a "follower."

This is good, it is more hope than we had a few days ago. Let us keep this up, push for finishing whatever you are working on for the Miranda FanBook project. Lets keep this going. it is time to "Nut up or Shut Up!."

So....has anyone tweeted with the new hashtag yet? I don't want to be the first since I already tweeted the day before yesterday.

Heh....I just checked my tweets. I tweeted four times about Miranda, the ME2 LIs and "fix the flashback" in the last month.

On the topic of DLC, I am on the field of those who think our chances of a Miranda-themed DLC akin to "Lair of the Shadow Broker" are nonexistent.
Ultimately, Miranda can be dead and, as much as we migh wish otherwise, Bioware is not going to make a DLC for a character if they will have to pay to a different actor to voice a replacement character. There is no profit in that.
I believe our best chances are either a DLC in which all sidelined ME2 squadmates might participate since that would appeal to a much broader audience. Of course, the downside is that Miranda would have to share content with other ME2 characters. And we know Miranda's doesn't like to share.
Or, Bioware could make a DLC where Miranda is an accessory rather than the focus. It's not ideal but if it means developing other aspects of the character, I'll take it.

Hey, they can't do that! Those are our words "Finish this and find me."
