Awe why? I had just contacted Squirrel high command. We were gonna get Acorn bombers, Walnut tanks, peanut troops the whole shabang.

Do not underestimate the power of the fan girls.

True. True but FanBOYS are the original menance. We were fighting for "fictional" characters since the begining lol:police:

I'd listen to them Ares. You may think Tali fans are crazy (and they are). But they're the lovable sort of "mad hatter" crazy. Kaidan fans on the other hand... *psycho stabbing noises.

I refer of course only to the true crazies. Everyone has sane fans... or as sane as fans get.

*sighs* I'm a Kaidan fan. His ME3 romance turned me into a puddle.

Sadly, none of the other love interests besides Liara and Miranda throughly satisfied me. I never played FemShep because the only man I found attractive was Sheploo and my custom BroShep.

I think Kaidan is so lame and whinning, he anoys the hell out of me. My FemShep romanced him in the first game, but only for lack of options because everytime he talked I wanted to smash something on his head. Then there was Horizon and now I just hate him for the same reason I hate Ashley, not to mention he wasn't any better in ME3 being all distrustful. And the gay romance with Kaidn was just awful, it should'be been done since game one or not done at all.

For me, the best FemShep LI is Thane, I guess I have a thing for tortured guys. I hated the
treatment Miranda received in ME3, but I hated Thane's even more. He's death did him justice, but the romance content was just awful, I won't even get to it.

Well obviously, Miranda is the only girl I'll ever romance with Male Shepard, who will be getting the majority of my playthroughs. If I ever play Femshep though, I'm learning towards Garrus.

I've never had this scene, mainly because I cannot stomach a playthrough without romancing Miranda. After seeing this GIF, now I know why it's hard for me to stray away from her.

Hmm, I want your thoughts on something guys. I've always romanced Miranda as soon as I finished Horizon... meaning I do her loyalty mission right away. Does anyone have a narrative where they romanced Miri after the suicide mission?

I don't know if it's possible to romance post-suicide mission.

Kaidan and Ash sort of suffer from the same issue that Miranda does. They're supposed to be awesome now, but we have no real interaction with them outside of "I don't trust you" and their respective romances. Pretty much if you didn't romance the VS you're better off having them as a war asset.

Yes, you can. I just wanted to see Jack's romance scene so I broke up with Miranda and then flirt with Jack during post-suicide mission.

Would there still be engine room shennanigans?

Each romance has a number of conversations before you get to the bangin' scenes. I believe each of those progress after you complete a mission (and I don't think side missions count). So you could concievably do a post suicide mission romance if you had enough missions left to advance it. The safer option of course is to advance all of them ahead of time until you get to the lockin stage and take your pic of the lot after.

Garrus is pretty cool...sorry Thane but I'm not in love with his character as much as others are. Meanwhile, for MaleShep, he and Garrus are like bros. So I think I'll have Femshep date him when I get around to that.

And to hear Ken and Gabby dialogue if ash is alive.

No, but I have done her LM and all of Miranda's romance content between Reaper IFF and the SM:
Reaper IFF
MIranda LM
post-LM scene
Legion LM
The kiss scene
Joker's mission
The promise scene
Omega-4 relay entry/engine room scene

I find doing the promise scene after the crew abduction particularly poignant, since it brings home that "we could be dead this time tomorrow".

Had you known your Shepard would remain eternally lost, leaving a hole in the heart of your partner, would you still pursue the romance if given a second chance or save them the pain to come?

Or in non-fancy terms: would you still romance Miranda even if you knew Shepard would always die at the end of ME3?

Definitely. Emotional wounds heal over time, but the memory of what you had will always stay with you. And as MisterJB says, Miranda says it's worth it, so who am I to object
;)

I would, her character still exists in ME2 and irregardless of what happens in ME3 she's still one of my favorite characters in the series.

Sad to report Miranda dies by Dragon in Default games, regardless of warning or Alliance resources.
As a certain Horizon colonist far more insigthful that I believed him to be at first would put it: "Stupid sons of ****es."

Sure. But then, I'm really not that much of a roleplayer. At least not while I'm playing a particular Shepard. I'm mostly just interested in seeing what the game has to offer in terms of content.

Ironically, that means that I can somewhat identify with the idea that "it's the journey, not the destination" that counts. By the same token, the endings don't really get under my skin the way they do for some (even though I recognize that they are very bad).

But anyway, yes. I would definitely do the romance regardless.

Is there any difference in the Miranda encounters between "non-imported" and "imported/unromanced", that could point at an in-world reason why she dies? If not, then I agree....stupid.

Apart from that, my opinion of this is influence by how I'm supposed to take it: if I take it as an indication of some pseudo-canonical default storyline then I feel insulted, if I take it as an incentive to play ME2 to get better outcomes then I have no problems with it. Or the default game may be the result of ME2 gameplay statistics with Bioware taking the most common choices from ME2 into the ME3 default game: if most players sided with Jack in ME2, making Miranda unloyal, and there was some design decision that ME2-unloyal characters die in their ME3 stories, the result would be exactly what we see. I couldn't fault such a decision, probably I'd have made the same in the developer's place. It only becomes insulting in the context of her character mutilation.

I wish I could wake up one morning and see a Miranda DLC announcement.
