You wouldn't want somebody doing that who had no personal experience of genetic enhancements, of the psychological impact they might have, of the pros and cons, so to speak. You would want somebody who would be... very careful. And I think Miranda would be.

I'm curious as to what the public response to Henry Lawson creating Miranda was. Genetic modification is pretty much a common practices in the twenty-second century, but engineering a human being from scratch might have caused some outcry.

I don't think he told the public

btw, anyone here think that lazarus tech might help to cure Miranda infertility?

Anyone? I think a better question would be: who doesn't?

Miranda curing her infertility should be trivial, of course. Or she could bypass it. Either choice is actually a nice opportunity for character growth.

I take it as given that she'll cure it if she wants.

I would like to see Miranda as the "future of humanity" in some sense.

I had such hopes for that line to mean something :crying: Depressing to see that mercilessly crushed by Bioware's writers. Thrice-damned mainstreaming.

Okay guys, we need to pump up the support!! *Sigh* Why do I always have to be such a cheerleader? lol

Is there any other address we might tweet? I've sent two tweets to Weekes and one to Gamble in the last two days, I don't want to spam.

I have a list of other Bioware figures, will post their twitter accounts here in a while... gimme a second I'm a famished! Haven't eaten all day.

I would, but not that way. I prefer cybernetics as a means of improvement.

There you go: Miranda as David Sarif post ME3.

Well, they also wrote the line. Specifically, it might have been Weekes who wrote it, since he wrote that DLC. Hence I meant that I would like to see something like that in the Extended Cut, since probably Weekes knows what he meant by it, if he did write it, even if it didn't end up making it into ME3.

In fact I think I will mention this in a tweet to him, now that I think about it.

Weekes also wrote the conversation between Leng and TIM on Cronos, where Miranda appears most like herself.

Or maybe they'll do something because they noticed us yelling.

Whatever works

I do think having Weekes on the job works in our favor. Best case: he had something in mind for this that was vetoed.

That would require Miranda having extra lines in the EC which has yet to be confirmed.

Admittedly, it is still objectively odd that her participation was never really acknowledged, except in an EA press release accompanying the VA video. (Carrie-Ann Moss was the same way.) Obviously, it's a moot point now. But those two are certainly well-known enough in general, and especially by genre fans, that it doesn't really make sense. I think there was a featurette on Moss/Aria even for ME2. Probably scheduling or something contractual, I guess. *shrug*

If we hear about the VAs for Grunt or Jack then Miranda is a safe bet. But I still think she'll be there regardless.

Everyone is thinking of infertility in 21st century terms.  Miranda's genome has been so heavily altered that it could be impossible for her 23 chromosomes to form a viable zygote with the 23 chromosomes of another human being...  If she even has 23 chromosomes.

Our DNA looks something like a near perfect double helix.

But does hers?

Well, I think that's mostly because the dossier seems to think of it in those terms. But I guess theoretically there could be something else at work.

Whatever the thinking may have been for introducing the idea, I think the infertility actually represents an interesting opportunity for character growth that could be taken in a number of different directions. But anyway, as of now, none of those have been explored in the game.

Well, previously we had surmised that Weekes and Gamble would make the most sense, because Gamble is the producer in charge of DLC, and because Weekes was put in charge of the Extended Cut (along with Dombrow).

Walters and Hudson have been silent on twitter for a while. But they might still be reading, I guess. I imagine they are still heavily involved behind the scenes.

As for the others, I dunno. Maybe somebody else does

I wouldn't be surprise if he has an altar o her inside his closet.

Shepard is to Conrad as Liara is to walters.

Hmm, I suggest tweeting to who Flemm mentioned.

I also recommend tweeting to @TullyAckland. I think he shares similar responsibilities as Merizan, only he's not as famous but he listens and has been kind so far. In addition I think @ehlien is worth tweeting as well. He's the associate producer of Mass Effect and has been recently engaging with fans regarding the ExtCut and what not.

Hope that helped! ;)
