You know what's worse? The break-up scene. Strange enough, it's harder for me to see the break-up scene than her death scene because at least she says "I love you."

I hope we can get more Miri content, I have been holding this in for a while now, not sure why I posted today. Maybe it was all those Chuck episodes I watched last night.

It's cool. I'm not criticizing your post, believe me, a lot of us have been there.

Here's a thought: why not turn your irritation into a letter for the fanbook?

You can send it here: mirandafanbook@gmail.com Image IPB

Thereby contributing to... encouraging Bioware to proceed with improved content for Miranda and others.

Sounds like a good idea, everything has to be in before May 30th?

Yes. A basic outline of a letter would be something like:

Dear Mass Effect 3 Writers and Developers:

1) Thank you for creating the Mass Effect universe and its characters.
2) I am a fan of Miranda because...
3) Regarding Miranda's content in ME3, I was... disappointed with X, happy with Y, etc.
4) In DLC content for Miranda, I would like to see...
5) Thank you for your time!

Sincerely,
*BSN username or whatever name you choose*

You can also find some examples in the fanbook group here (there is a thread for letters):

Well, we've had a few recent submissions. But yeah, we've shifted over to tweets and stuff recently. Which is fine. One reason we chose the date is so that we can have a couple of weeks after the semester is over to work on this.

Expect the pace to pick up accordingly over the next little while Image IPB

Hmm @flemm why not move it over to #FindMiranda group since that's why we all agreed to make it for all our projects and not just for the posters? Sort of like a base of operations.

I'll make you an "officer" so you can do stuff with threads lol

FYI, people: Weekes said it's all but impossible - technically - to add a general-use squadmate through DLC (I wonder how they made Kasumi for ME2, though. Perhaps it's just that ME3 has so many more places where squadmates have spoken lines). So our campaigning should better aim at having her on an extra mission. Or on one existing mission (*cough* Cronos Station *cough*).

Also next to impossible aparently:

twitter.com/#!/PatrickWeekes/status/199923066334216193
"Is it possible for DLC to add Miranda or Jack onto Cronus or would it be better for them to be in a dif mission dlc?"

"But really, next to impossible to add them to mission. Would essentially be redoing whole mission logic"

furthermore...

twitter.com/#!/PatrickWeekes/status/199923223717097473
"If we see Miranda or Jack again, it would likely have to be in some new area, for tech reasons."

Go ahead with the officer thing. There's a lot of stuff already collected in the book group, but it makes sense to create a thread in the #FindMiranda group as well.

I think we'll be switching over to the email address largely for submissions anyway, as it works on and off the BSN.

Not too surprising. But a new area could be awesome.

Thanks Flemm, I'll have something written up and will send it off to mirandafanbook@gmail.com

The bioware forum is being very rude with not allowing me to join groups, accept friend requests.  Don't know why, I've tried a different computer and browser.  The same results.  Blasted thing... I think it's javascript but I haven't a clue.
:?

It's annoying as hell.

Hve you brought this up to the Jeff Rousell?
He's the tech for the social site.  He's helped me before when I got that "update" that wouldn't go away (it's called a ghost update)

if you can't PM him you can always post in the Social.bioware.com Site Help

Funny, for me it's the exact opposit. Watching her break up scene shows just how much it impacts her, breaks her heart and displays how much she was realy carying about you. You have the same things with the death scene but then...well she dies and watching her die just, makes me very depressed.

We talked. It was just that we assumed Miranda would be a part of the Cerberus plot the way Tali was with the geth and Mordin was for the genophage. We tended to talk about her characterization going forward. My worst fears were pretty well realized, and I don't think even those who wanted a softer Miranda are happy with what we got. I think they understood that she had to be important to the Cerberus plot, and she is on paper. Her role *is* fantastic on paper. Three conversations before her mission and she's the one who allows you to proceed to the endgame? And we finally get to deal with Henry once and for all? We should have been squeeing. But the execution is so terrible. I think where they really messed up was in trying to "tame" her. We like her precisely because she's not a very nice person, but she is good. She had ideals about how the galaxy should be and we liked that. But because those ideas were shared by TIM, they had to be scrubbed from her character. She becomes generic redeemed femme fatale #452. And there's all this nasty subtext with "things I could never have" and dying because her boyfriend breaks up with her. Grr.

Sums it up nicely. I think we've said that so often that they must've heard it by now. They got the relationship book, too (thanks, Vertigo, for posting that. I used it as an opportunity to reply).

As for a remedy, I like that idea about including Miranda in the rumored Retake Omega DLC. Not as good as having her at Cronos Station, but it has great potential.

I know I'm a tool but I thought she'd be all cool with the break-up. When I watched the break-up scenes in ME2, I felt like "what, that's it? Maybe she doesn't care :crying:" So when I saw the break-up scene in ME3, I was in complete shock and did not expect it all. I guess the impact was definitely stronger for me. When Miranda died on one playthrough, it was easier for me to accept the endings because I was like "I died at Sanctuary"

It does. As does a new area. Really, while Miranda obviously *should* have been at Cronos station all along, a new area could be preferable as a DLC mission, for a variety of reasons.

I broke up with her my first play through and yeah that break up scene just really crushed me. I was not expecting that much emotion from her. So when I played again and stayed with her but she still died I was "I give up. I dont get a happy ending." And then the ending of the game just man. I dont get a happy ending the galaxy doesn't get a happy ending what's the point.
