Yeah I think what threw me, was in ME2 it seemed like a trivial thing to focus on to carry on to 3. It was just something you accepted with Miranda's personality and it made sense she originally didn't trust Shepard because he was Alliance and it made sense she would react that way. Heck I probalby would think a control chip would be a good idea if I raise an enemy from the dead.
Yes, most of her fans can look at the situation from her viewpoint and have no problem with or even appreciate what she tried to do with the control chip.
And then, there are those people who were never able to forgive Miranda for it and hated the character from the beginning. As such, in order to get the maximum amount of feeling possible for when Miranda dies, they had to make Miranda apologize so those people would forgive her and be sad and gry when Kai Leng kills her.
So, I have mixed feelings about that conversation. I think it shows a certain amount of character growth but I can alse see the intention behind it and I don't like it.
I know one thing Miri would not accept is Sythesis, changing eveyones DNA would not sit well with her at all.
I partially disagree. While she would not easily accept that her genetic code was, once again, rewritten against her will, she should be quick to realize the possibilites this open for all life everywhere and be fascinated by them.
It might even allow her to feel more connected to others now that everyone was raised to a level closer to hers.
