The relays aren't destroyed in Control. The visuals suggest it and it has been confirmed by the writers.

Thanks for that info, I didn't do control and I assumed they were destroyed too. Hm, looks like if I can finish another playthrough I'll have to try the blue ending. Now my perception about destroy being the best ending might have changed.

Since the mass relays are all destroyed no matter what color you choose, I think destroy is the best ending and not because Shepard lives, after all he was tricked to believe he'd be killed too. I like EDI, but in the end of things she's just an AI, like the geth, so I don't mind having them as casualties.

Picking control could back fire or who knows how long it would last? And synthesis to me is the worst, no one should have the power to alter all the beings of the galaxy like that.

Destroy you lose all the Reaper tech that could be beneficial, yes, but the threat is finally over, no more cycle, no more harvesting, there are no variables to consider and it's like Shepard said in ME2 when he chose to destroy the collecdtor's base, he didn't let the prospect of advancement corrupt who he is.

I agree with this. You pretty much summed up my thoughts to a T.Image IPB
Also I have to ask why do the relays being intact matter so much to your perception of the control vs destroy ending?

To be clear: it wasn't confirmed they are intact. It was confirmed they are not destroyed. That leaves some room for interpretation but it's definitely better.

And it matters because I set out to save galactic civilization, and galactic civilization is held together by the relays. The possibility that they may be just temporarily deactivated or repairable with little effort is a big factor in how I perceive the endings.

Because the galaxy will be a mess, every race will need to start rebuilding and that will be a lot more complicated without mass relays. Lots of asaris, krogans, turians, few salarians will be stuck at Earth, the situation there isn't exactly the best, lot of people are injured and there probably won't have enough medical supplies to attend to everyone. Turians and quarians will die pretty quickly on Earth without their dextro food and the supplies will be limited enough as it is for humans and now will have to be shared with every other species too? Needless to say a lot of people won't have medical care and will perish.

And all those races can't just leave Earth with only FTLs, their ships would run out of fuel before they could get anywhere.

The galaxy depended on mass relays and take that away would be the same as if, I don't know, we had to suddenly live without eletricity. It would be chaos.

My Miranda story is now up on fanfiction.net.

Let me know if any of you guys are on there, or have recommendations, and I'll try and figure out how the site works, and follow you. :P

I found and added jtav as a favourite. Wasn't looking for 'advice'. Hehe

I unlocked the Paladin a while back. It's good, but I actually still prefer the Carnifex for faster recharge, and my Arc Pistol has become pretty effective now too. Obviously, it depends what class and playstyle you use though.

Kill it with fire. Preferably nuclear fire.

More, more! It also neatly resolves my Kaidan/Shepard/Miranda love triangle. I was so looking forward to sexual tension here.

I think it's plausible that in the Synthesis ending, since everyone becomes part-synthetic, food supplies may not be an issue. Eating may become one of those things that are no longer necessary. Not sure about medical supplies, though Joker walks off the Normandy just fine and you would think he would've gotten banged up during the crash landing, like he did at the CB. Just my take, but I'm one of those who's pretty set on picking Synthesis, with a small chance of taking Control.

Is this about the flame war started at the Thane Poster thread? It's only similar because of the poster, but other than that they are two very distinct things. The #FindMiranda started as a twitter campaign and it evolved into something bigger, the poster is about the hashtag.

Hahaha, I just don't know exactly what to call.

Yesika, don't let this get you down. I just read your response and just the fact that you remained calm showed a lot more class than what they did. They can't be angry with anyone for not giving them a freaking reply in two days.

Honestly, I wouldn't worry too much about it. There's going to inevitably be some moments like this. We just need to forget about it and get back to work. We have a limited amount of time we can spend on this to begin with, better not to waste it.

Yeah, I understand. I'm pretty angry with the situation. And squeegee's atittude is awful, he made it clear he was done with us Miranda fans before and now he's saying it was all a misunderstanding? He wasn't even noble to admit he misjudged you, not just you, all of us.

And now that I vented, maybe flemm is right. Let's focus on the #FindMiranda campaign and on the fanbook group.
