Depends on what kind of missions Cerberus sent her on. If she spent most of her time inside a lab working on projects like Lazarus, or the ones Shepard destroys in ME1, then there'd be no reason for her to work with Leng.
If she did some field missions, they could have met.
I really want to see Miranda's reaction to Leng. He's probrably one of the people she'd say gives Cerberus a bad name.

What if you confronting Kai Leng is the moment in time where you are reunited with Miri?

Well, Kai Leng is a xenophobic, and she doesn't like the fact that a lot of people join Cerberus to mere xenophobic reason. So I'll guess she doesn't like him much.
About Kai Leng, I really want to face him in ME3. He's one of the three N7 operatives that have been shown in the videgames-comics-books so far (with Shepard and Anderson), and he seems pretty good and tough.

As I said, Miranda and Liara are the characters for whom anything less than a major role would be a disappointment. Miranda is a great character. I would love to see her return both for Male/Female Shepard. Miranda and Male Shep are one of the best couples I have seen in a long time. Both movie-wise and game-wise. No joke. Bioware would be insane to forget one of their greatest acheivements --Miranda, in the epic conclusion of ME3.

Anytime i try for a playthrough where i romance a different LI, i always end up flirting or giving in altogether with Miranda lol. I'm hoping her resignation at the end of ME2 was enough to keep her wholly dedicated to Shepard and his cause, i can't imagine what else she'd be doing otherwise? Don't think she'd be too keen on joining the Alliance, and i don't see her becoming some type of mercenary or anything like that, so she'd have to stick by Shep's side?

Remember she resigns from Cerberus if you blowed up base while salvaging she still works for them (at least i think)
But there is no chance in hell Miranda could kill Kai Leng. This guy killed everyone who was apointed too, never takes any risks and he single handedly killed a Krogan with just a knife.

Well, Miranda isn't too ordinary and survived alone against a lot of mechs in ME2..
Anyway, I want to kill Kai Leng myself. I can see him as a boss level (if  not the Cerberus final boss, I somehow doubt that we're going to fight TIM).

I really doubt that they're going to kill her (well, maybe in the near end). The worst thing they could do is relegated her to a Horizon scenario, or something a little better than that. Though I hope that they've learnt from the feedback about VS and Liara in ME2.<_<

Why would they give Miri a small role?

She is a VERY Important part of The ENTIRE Mass Effect Series for me. She is my LI.

Miranda's role in ME2 is far different from characters like Ashley or Kaidan in ME1 imho. Miranda is your XO and direct liaison with TIM, whereas Ash and Kaidan are just random soldiers that you happened to bring along for the ride in ME1.
Miranda's story seemed to be a bit more integral to the story in ME2, so i doubt that Bioware would just shove her into 1 little side mission as an "oh hai" kinda moment. At the very LEAST i think she'd get her own core story mission, if not as a permanent squaddie, but hey, this is Bioware, never know what those crazy kooks have in store for us...heh.

I think that's very likely that we're going to have something like that, though I'd prefer and hope to have more. Who's your LI?

- she is possible Li
- her fanbase is huge
- Cerberus plays huge part in ME3 i can't possible think why she wouldn't have any role with them, considering she is/was one of the top TIMs officers.

I agree with the second and third reason, but the first isn't something we can count on. I have the feeling that some LI are going to be screwed. I really hope not. In my opinion every LI should have a fair space in ME,3, even if someone will get a bigger space than others.
