She isn't pricey compared to Mark Meer, Tricia Helfer or Martin Sheen.
But considering the size of her role and importance of extra lines, she might be too much of a unecessary cost.

Strahovski wouldn't be pricier than Tricia Helfer (EDI) - and IIRC, Helfer is coming back to do some work.

Well, if they can have her do lines, then great. Obviously, I would prefer that. If for whatever reason that doesn't work for the EC, then some things could be handled without new lines.

If yvonne is too expensive they should do a public audition to recast Miranda and let the fans choose the new VA.

She refused 2 big roles (maybe one in the avengers) for the season 5 of Chuck, I doubt she's the kind of person who would refuse to reprise her role or ask for more money.

the commercial cost-benefit analysis will tell them it's worth it - like the fact that micro-transactions have been successful enough they haven't even charged for mp dlc yet... i could see doing a dlc encompassing all surviving me2 squad-mates, but not individually (unfortunately). i will be happy if we get something of the quality of LoSB, with Miranda appearing.

btw anyone seen this:

If they recast her, I won't buy the DLC.
They don't want to pay for her VA ? They won't have my money.

I really hope that Bioware brings back Yvonne so that she could record some more dialogue for Miranda.

I'm sure they could rustle up re-used bits of Miranda dialogue in a brief scene - granted it may end up looking like something like that episode of The Simpsons where they film the movie Radioactive Man in Springfield and make a pig's ear of the ending with absurd and comical editing

LoL, well, we went through this before. They are not going to recast her. I hope they have her do some more lines for the EC.

At least this time she's not busy.

BioWare has so much money right now. And why wouldn't Yvonne want to come back to record for Miri again? There's nowhere that says she's tired of the role. She was Sarah Walker for 5 years. I doubt there would be any trouble.

I doubt it, too. We'll see. I'm not sure what the EC is going to look like, exactly, or what it will include. But a reunion scene would be great, ideally with lines.

There's always troubles.

Remember that Beattie wanted to voice Mordin in ME3, but for a still unknown issue we don't know why BW didn't make a contract with him again. It could be a problem bye Beattie (or his agent) asking for a higher price, or a problem by BW/EA.

Meh, not really. What I remember is all kinds of talk about Strahovksi maybe not coming back, etc., etc. Which is understandable, of course, as people were worried at the time. But it was never an issue.

A reunion scene is really a must have.

btw, how many people here managed to finish a second playthrough ?

^ I haven't started the Second Playthrough yet. Been preoccupied. I also have TWO more Characters left to find in Multi-Player (Asari Adept Justicar and Drell Vanguard), and it's taking TOO long to find them. It's driving me nuts!

I tried to playthrough ME3 again but I only managed to get past Sur'Kesh before I lost interest in ME3 all together. I'm going to wait until the EC comes out before I go near ME3 ever again.

I'm in a similar position. The game, at the moment, simply isn't enjoyable enough for me to play multiple times.

We did get this. I can agree that Henry doesn't come off as well as he should but we really got this.
"Miranda's poisonous influence...Oriana has already been through enough."
So, beneath all the megalomany and narcissism, you can find a certain twisted affection for his creation.
Which will be promptly abandoned as soon as it is his life on the line, of course, but that is in-character.

Viktor burned his daugther alive once he discovered she had been impregnated by a Lycan. I would have suggested an abortion but maybe that's just me.

A throw-away or more likely insufficient damage control, along the same lines as the starfighter email. Worse in fact because that email still implies all the full awesomeness you can imagine. Lawson on the other hand you clearly see as a chump. That line (and its delivery) were the only hint at what he should've been but it was far too little nonetheless.

And again if he has to resort to hiding behind a teenager he is unworthy even of the Lawson name, much less of being the terror of Miranda's life.

Viktor didn't just need to destroy the child he needed to make an example of Sonja for challenging him. He was a vampire elder, the most ruthless of the three. His daughter proved to be a weakness to his rule, a weakness some wouldn't hesitate to exploit (Marcus perhaps). That's the kind of contrast we should've seen in Lawson. A weird love for his child yes, but a completely monstrous dedication to his bigger goal that ultimately trumps the need of his child. These things needed to be seen distinctly, even though they are all part of his motivation. Instead we have some watered down mumblings before he hides behind a kid. The Lawson we've seen is not even worthy of being killed by Miranda or Shepard. He should've been fed to a husk.

Pleeeeeeease, we need a reunion scene.

Oh, and I've managed to make it through 10 or so play throughs. I can't bring myself to play past Tuchanka. After that, my enjoyment slowly drizzles away, eventually vanishing altogether at Cronos.

Also this. My faith in the EC is already nearly non-existant. If they recast Miranda to a new VA (Or any of the characters I'm interested in), I'm just going to wave it away and ignore everything from the Edmonton team.
