There is NEVER any good coming out of allowing Miri to die. There honestly NO reason to let Miri die.

The break-up and death scene are the only ones with Shep/Miri that are emotional. But I agree with Yesika, Shepard is cool all the time, he really is such a bad boyfriend, I wish if we could get a Miranda DLC and play as her we had the option to dump Shepard.

I would never let miranda die and never break her heart. I actually like these scenes because they show just how much she trully cared for him. She, from the bottom of her heart, loved him. I'm happy to know that there are these scenes and that she doesn't just die without a heartwreching dialogue. And i would've been very disappointed if in her break up scene, she would've been like in ME2 where she is cool with it. I'm glad these scenes exist because they show her passion towards him. Now if only we would've been able to see that without breaking up or kill her, that would've been much better.

If I really wanted her to die, I'd just deny her the Alliance resources (I could actually justify doing so), then after she dies, Thomas would make defeating the Reapers into a real suicide mission (not the type that the Collector Base was) and go out in a blaze of glory, even if it meant screwing over the galaxy in the process.

Well, I think there's quite a bit of emotion in the control chip scene. It's a bit more pent-up, and it's not sad. But there's no reason for it to be sad.

Where the whole thing falls apart for me is at the end of Sanctuary, there is just no justification for how that works. It's a story-telling crime, as has been noted previously.

ME3 Shepard is a bloody prince. What is "I'll always want you in my life" but "I love you" under another name? I wouldn't have batted an eye if he proposed. My only complaint is the lackluster reunion and vidcomm scene. The romance needs better conclusion.

I think you can definitely feel that the emotion is there on both sides. And I agree on the idea that what it needs is better pay-off.

^ This. I think one of the things that saddened me the most about my first playthrough with the lack on closure on their relationship. Then again, I think all the ME2 romances deserve it, not just Miranda's....

I FOR ONE am NOT going to break up with Miri, NOT going to break Miri's Heart, and NOT going to have her killed. If ANYONE has a "Problem" with that....TOUGH BREAK!

Dump Shepard? That's so hilarious. Really, when Miranda died in one playthrough... I willingly chose synthesis because I just wanted to die.

I for one loved the control chip talk. But, well that is pretty much it. I realize that if miranda doesn't die, there isn't really any talk about the relationship in general. The current state, the future ect. Very frustrating indeed.

Hahaha. I really think Shepard took her for granted and that she deserves better. Really, he didn't even cried when she died. I just think if we get a reunion scene that Shepard can redeem himself and actually show some emotion, show her that he's glad to see her, since he never showed that in any of their meetings.

Shepard looked worse when the VS was injured or when he has to confort Liara about. He doesn't show any emotion after the dead of a romanced Miranda. Shepard, you are the worst lover ever.

Hmmm, well, I want to see a better pay-off and a reunion scene, absolutely. Still, I think there is definitely emotion there in a variety of scenes. Even the last scene on Sanctuary, which is incredibly frustrating for reasons that I won't bother to rehash.

But there is definitely joy there, on both sides. It manifests itself as a kind of playfulness that seems to be the idiom that Miranda and Shepard revert to when they are not in danger.

A better payoff and it's fine, basically, I think.

Yes, hopefully we don't have a lackluster reunion scene. I think I was probably more upset with Shepard's apathy than with Miranda's death.

I'm with flemm. There's emotion there. They just express it in oblique ways. Though a last kiss would be nice. Either of them breaking down would be OOC, and the romance is somewhere where Miranda does feel like herself. I just want a reward, a sense of finality. Confirmation that the pain was worth it.

Either way, I'm predicting Miranda would try and kill Shepard afterwards after calling him a traitor. If in a romance, she would say "I loved you!" In any event, I'm thinking you'd be forced to kill her if you can't sway her with a high-rep option.

It would be a final deal breaker. But the choice is pointlessly cruel as there doesn't seem to be any benefit to it. It's like betraying Samara and choosing Morinth. No good reason to do so apart from "for the evulz".

Not that I'd allow that snivelling maggot to live a second longer than necessary, Oriana or no.
