After going through the tribute book, I must say.....it felt quite unorganized, what flemm is working on, is very well organized, with names being mentioned with each Fan-Art uniquely, moreover with a Eye pleasing layout as well.
We did our best. If we organized the pictures by character, a few characters' sections would have dominated the PDF and we didn' want that. If you have any specific examples where things could have been done better, we'll certainly take it into consideration.
It's also the first draft, so we're going to edit it again and fix things before printing it out and sending it to BioWare.

Tbh, I prefer the way Traynor's romance handled it. She wants marriage and kids but you know that life with her won't be boring. She loves analyzing data and improving comm systems and that won't change. A family exists alongside her passions. With Miranda, I get the sense that her desire for a family is meant to replace previous goals.

Indeed. My Miranda romance in ME3 lives 90% from the memory of ME2. A sad realization.jtav wrote...
I've been thinking about how unhappy I am with Miranda as a LI, and I've realized something. ME2 Miranda is an idea person. She loves her little sister, but the last thing she says about why she joined Cerberus is that she loves a challenge. "How do I do this impossible thing?" is what she lives for. And ME3 Miranda isn't ambitious. Her world has narrowed entirely to Ori and Shep. There are still flashes of ****iness, but she's no longer "the thinking man's knockout." What I get from her, I could get in more abundance from Ash. ME3 Miranda no longer caters to my desire for a cerebral, ambitious LI.

Yea when i saw that Thane had a billion fan art , i wondered how you were going to do it. This way makes it seem that no one character dominates the other. Remember Bioware probably will nto read through all fo them. it is the symbol of the book that counts. Bioware will flip through the pages and see the many different characters and think, they all would want some mroe countent, thus making the likelihood of any of us getting DLC greater.
Great job

I believe they got overwhelmed by so many contributions, maybe that got in the way? But I agree that the layout could have a better setup. Still, it was nice to see everything put together, they had a lot of work.
I haven't had a chance to look at the .pdf, but regardless, yeah, a lot of work, and another cool tribute to the LI. Thanks, Visii & Co.

It's an expression I used, and I think it's appropriate for Miranda. Re: ME3, I think that is never contradicted, but it isn't developed sufficiently at all. She's still clearly very intelligent, and an effective operative. I think this is probably where the disconnect happened. Because it's a given, of course, that Miranda is intelligent and an effective operative, but one of the things that sets her apart is the philosophical dimension and the sense of a larger goal.
It's striking how much of Miranda's banter in ME2 is... thoughtful and analytical. I feel that this is probably Weekes coming through and that the change in writers was detrimental here, combined probably with wanting to avoid the Cerberus issue (which was a huge mistake and glaring omission).
My favorite characters are Mordin and Miranda, and I've noticed, since coming to the forums here, that this is quite common.
For a certain type of personality, Mordin's your bro, and Miranda's your girl

Wasn't Miranda's last name supposed to be "Solheim", which is like a reference to the sun? I don't think it was then a coincidence that Mordin's last name is Solus....they were probably written to have similar goals but be at different points in their lives....oddly enough, Mordin is probably younger than Miranda but further along in his career (due to his species).flemm wrote...

Now that I think about it....they're somehow polar opposites and twins of each other at the same time....both very smart, both more ruthless and quick to judge than others within their mental capacity, but Mordin's genetic lifespan is shorter than most humanoids, Miranda's is longer. And the values they possess are the values that the other use to motivate them: Miranda is motivated by wanting to be apart of something special, like the STG. Mordin was motivated to complete the SM because of his nephew; maintaining a family connection was already paramount to Miranda. At least that's how I've always viewed them both....as reflections of one another....flemm wrote...

I'm currently romancing Samantha with my second FShep and so far, it's definitely an acceptable substitute for not being able to romance Miranda IMO.jtav wrote...
Indeed. I should have known Traynor was written by Weekes before he said so. Because I got the same rush I did from ME2 Miranda. BW, we like intellectual characters!

flemm, I did submit that for the fanbook, right?

I should get out of the fight with the IT supporters in that other thread. It just makes me explode. I'm beginning to actively resent a part of the fanbase.

Ah, the Indoctrination Theory. I think that's cool if that were true but at the same time I'm part of the percentage who is content with the ending now. I mean it could have been better, but overall I'm fine with it. My only gripe was I felt that it was a cliffhanger for a sequel than a conclusive end to a trilogy. So it seems there's a high possibility the ExtCut will make me happy with more definitive scenes. It'll be even higher if we #FindMiranda.

I'm assuming.
I think I'll just stick with saying Harbinger did 9/11 in any IT threads I see from now on. It gets about the same intellectual response as a thought out post.
