Now I really want to create an ME-inspired LittleBigPlanet level.
@ Skullheart
If you liked Fall of Hyperion I recommend the book Eon by Greg Bear. It's what I picture Synthesis as being like.

Alright...but doesn't the fact that the vast majority of us post on this thread make us Miranda fans?

I've noticed that we, or a significant minority, love our geeky or intellectual characters. Td isn't the only one who likes Sam. Lots of us like Mordin, as flemm said. Destroy is the favored ending, but you'll find a fair number of Synthesis supporters among us as well. For all the haters say we only like her because of "dat ass" Miranda fans do seem to like the cerebral more than most.

I like her emotional side and I like her operative side, no nonsense side as well. She rarely shows emotions and when she does... to me she is human. I tend to think that Miranda is only emotional around people she trusts. Other people, she is tough and well, ****y if you want to use that term. I love all of her... I love her intelligence.
I like both her sides. In fact I loved in ME2 how she started showing some emotion as the game progressed. What I hate is that in ME3 she's a purely emotional character, all her other traits were gone.

Also, just a friendly reminder. The deadline for the Miranda fanbook is May 30. So if you want to submit art or a letter, now's the time. I agree with Flemm, we shouldn't wait til the last minute. Thanks guys!

Agreed! I just wish we had more even approach to her dialog. Say for example: make her sister a concern for her starting with the second meetup instead of the first. In the first meetup have her talk about her reaction to Cerberus actions now. Add in a line about her resigning on the spot if you brought her to the last part of the SM

The fact that every person who posts here hates what happened to her in ME3 proves your theory is correct. Nobody seems to like emotional, ME3 Miranda. And in ME2 probably every fan appeciated her intelligence.
I........was......pretty.....satisfied with her appearence in ME3.
Maybe it's more of an expectations thing, considering how the Horizon cameo went. Still, apart from a proper sex scene, I kinda felt everything was properly done for the most part, her appearences are better distributed throughout
the story, whatever her role is, it isn't a cameo.
Then again........................
.............................................
I dumped Miranda for Ashley in my second playthrough.............and the third one.........and probably on the one I'm currently playing !
I know, blasphemy, but I still consider myself a big Miranda fan, too much goodness came from her in Mass Effect 2, I can confidently say I wouldn't have felt that game to be the same if it hadn't been for her.

So, u like the Miranda with amnesia, who can't remember her 20 years with Cerberus...
How so ?
And what did you want from her appearence ? Honestly curious.

Put it this way, if you hadn't played ME2 and just went off of the dialogue we get in game would you even pick up that Miranda used to work for Cerberus?

Well, technically I would've, since she says it
Still, I can see where your concerns are coming from, I think they're understandable, but the writers approached Cerberus in a different manner for ME3 (No, it was not "character assasination") in a way that had very little to do with Miranda's character.
I would've appreciated seeing more "cold, calculating, pragmatic" Miranda, but I really wasn't expecting it, I knew we would only get so much with her appearence.

So that's why there's a voiced codex entry on her

She's not purely emotional.
And her other traits are not gone, but when you decide to sideline a character, to exclude her from the squad and from every missions in the game, it's difficult to show her professional/pragmatic side.
And I agree with enayasoul, I like her emotional side : it's part of her character. The Miranda in ME3 in not an impostor, she's a character who needed more development ressources and more screen time.
The problem is : I still have doubts that someone in the current dev team actually cares about Miranda.
