Yeah. One would think the fact that nobody among Miranda's fans likes the buttshots, and that the only people who like them are those who don't take her seriously as a character, would be enough feedback to reconsider. But no, he has to stick to the party line no matter what.Jebel Krong wrote...

He's just PR who tries to appeal games to the casual player.
He's not the one who is writing Miranda (thank god for that).

Shoot. I'm incredibly curious about where your story will be going. I might not be able to comment before tomorrow though - it's getting late here.jtav wrote...

Yeah, I haven't played Arrival either, so it might be from there

Almost certainly, it is from the non-standard game over you get if you let the clock run down to zero in Arrival.Vechturrr wrote...

Here's the full video of it, incase anyone hasn't seen it.
This is just some speculation, but maybe this is bioware hinting at the squad of ME3. We can see Ashley and Garrus, who are both Squad mates. Also we can see Mordin too I think. But then again, they also showed Dr. Chawkwas. So I'm probably wrong. Also, I think there was no cerberus logo on Miranda's outfit.

Mordin will most likely not be a full sqaudmate, maybe a temporary squadmate. Howewer he seems to be an important person on Sur'Kesh.

Thane was half-tempted to slip discreetly out the door and join Feron. He was superfluous for Miranda's recruitment. But no. These two women may determine whether he survives the year. He ought to at least be in the room while they decide his fate.
“The old broker wanted to recruit you very badly. At first because of you genetic tailoring and then because of your knowledge of Cerberus. He was prepared to be very generous: twice what Cerberus was paying you. I'm prepared to match that. I need the director of Lazarus.”
Miranda spared him a sideways glance. If she was surprised or flattered, her face didn't betray it. "Thane said as much.”
Liara handed her a datapad. "Could you tell me if this is medically sound? "
Miranda read, her lips moving silently. Thane has already read it. The words would be burned into his mind even without a drell’s perfect memory. Mordin’s plan was audacious: grow new lungs from stem cells, subtly altering them at a genetic level for better absorption of moisture and stripping away the markers that would ordinarily cause the organs to be rejected. Thane would also be receiving extensive drug treatment to combat the lesions already present and halt the spread of the disease. It would be ingenious if it worked.
“Oh, Mordin,” she whispered. "Still trying to make up for the genophage.” She blinked, “But yes. It’s theoretically possible. I might recommend cybernetic enhancements to increase absorption.” Her eyes widened almost imperceptibly. "You want me to cure Kepral’s for you,”
Liara smiled. "Exactly."
A curious change came over Miranda’s face. Her eyes darkened and shone with a terrible, fierce energy. She was like a fire roaring in a grate, contained but only just. He did not know how humans judged physical beauty, but sheer passion of her expression made him inhale sharply. "You want me to cure an alien disease that the hanar have been trying and failing to cure for centuries? This would be the second-greatest medical achievement in recorded history, if it were possible. And not everyone would say that it is."
"Well it's a good thing I asked the person responsible for the greatest medical achievement in recorded history to handle it, isn't it?”Liara leaned forward in her chair, elbows on the desk. "I can offer you the same money and protection for your sister that the old Broker could. But even he couldn't have given you this kind of challenge. You brought back one man before. How do you feel about saving an entire race? I know you, Miranda. Safety’s all well and good, but you want more than to develop diet drugs for the rest of your life."
Whatever energy that was coursing through Miranda built and built. He had seen her like this once before when she spoke of the advancement of humanity and denounced those who equated that advancement with despising and subjugating nonhumans. "I do. And this…this would be a challenge. I’d need a lab, a staff—xenobiologists, cytologists, and that's just to start –and tissue samples. Eventually live subjects.” Her voice shook with energy.
Oh, he had been wrong. Miranda wasn't disconnected at all. She’d concealing her true self the way he concealed himself in the shadows to spy on a target. The pride was hidden, not gone. He cleared his throat. "I seem to have been appointed your live subject."
Miranda started and stared at him. Her gaze is cool and penetrating, the scrutiny of a scientist. "You said you needed the director of the Lazarus Project. But you know what I did as director. Don't mistake my resignation for some kind of conversion. I haven't changed a bit. If you want perfect medical ethics, find someone else."

I'd prefer to have her on my side, but if she's on the ship, so I can talk to her whenever I want, then it works. I just don't want her to sit on some planet waiting for me to pick her up, then say few lines, mission done and we go different ways again. Only to meet again in some weird ''We all come together'' ending cinematic.
this
I also prefer to be able to pick her with me on the battlefield, yes she has intelect capabilities, but it doesn't change the fact that she is a very competant field operative who can shoot a mech's head off from 100 meters or use her powerful biotic abilities.
Her enhanced physical constitution and her combat tantents make her as capable as the other squadmates to be at Shepard's side. And she's definitely not the kind of woman who would stay behind a desk all day long.
I want this again :

Everytime they focused on Miranda's rear during ME2, I couldn't help but roll my eyes big time. I mean, yeah I get it. Miranda's sexy. Of course, I've felt that way about Yvonne herself prior to ME2. I could really do without the gratutious *** shots.Ieldra2 wrote...

I agree... I had a crush on Yvonne before ME2... and I admit first playthrough, esp first interactions with Miranda, I didn't mind those shots... but later esp when getting more personal it just became absurd. Why I use the blackcat suit, it's less obvious. Again, I am not complaining, but the character is far more deeper and versatile and attractive in other areas than just her bum.

I agree with you both. If Miranda was in a scenario that only involved a few conversations, then parting ways until the cinematic finish... I would almost certainly NOT Purchase the game. Some might say that's pathetic, but Miranda's character development brought the Mass Effect series to an entirely different level for me.
Whilst i would like Miranda to have an important roll in the war against the reapers, that shows off her diverse skillset, I wouldn't be satisfied if it came at the cost of Screentime, Squad Time etc.

I don't romance her, let her shoot Niket, and keep the base. Hopefully things will work out well.
One thing I'm curious about, Is why do you allow Miranda to shoot Niket? I find this decision in particular to be difficult in all of my playthroughs considering the outcome if you don't.
In regards to the Paragon/Renegade discussion, That's one thing that's always saddened me about Bioware's writing.. They seem to take Paragon & Renegade too far to each extreme in my opinion. Paragon feels like you're playing a saint, and Renegade feels like you're playing a Jerk. This problem is made even worse by some of the Paraphrasing.
I typically play Paragade, choosing the renegade options when i feel they serve a purpose.
