Miranda: (rests her head on Shepard's shoulder) So after all of this is said and done, what's next?

Shepard: I was thinking marriage, old age, a paramilitary organization who works in the interests of humanity...the usual.

Miranda: You're serious?

Shepard: I don't agree with what the Illusive Man is doing, but whatever happens after this humanity is going to need someone looking out for it in days to come. As for the first part, I meant it when I said that I'll always want you in my life.

Honestly though, Kelly, Ken & Gabby all managed to get away from Cerberus. So I'd like to think, that until proven otherwise, the surviving crewmembers all did as well.

I'm really hoping Gardner will show up in the Take Back Omega DLC...could possibly recruit him for the main game if you have the DLC?  The kitchen area is so empty without him (much like the rest of the ship in ME3 sadly)

What's even worse is the fact that the old Cerberus crew most likely got turned into husked soldiers for TIM's army. It would have been all the more terrifying if Shepard was going through Sanctuary only to see the crew he saved from the Collectors be turned into abominations by the organization they believed in.

Kinda makes me wonder just what the hell happened to Gardner :o !

(The cook / janitor)

he was great - the heart and source of a lot of the me2 ship-banter.

i did think it was odd there were no generic crew conversations on the mess deck, but overall the tone of the atmosphere fit the more serious nature of the game/setting.

I have to say that Patrick Weekes, Jessica Merizan, Chris Preistly, and John Dombrow are a big part of what I like about Bioware. They're fans of what they work on and it shows.

@ o Ventus

The Alliance seems to be more interested in keeping the Council happy pre-ME3 than actually helping humanity. Ash actually has a line during the locker scene in ME1 where she says "Maybe the Alliance will get its act together and start acting like a real government." Technically, there isn't a Systems Alliance anymore since the Parliament and most of the governing body on Earth got destroyed by the Reapers.

the alliance hq isnt based on earth - you can actually visit the ruins in one of the star systems. although originally set up by the ruling governments of earth, post galactic expansion the alliance outgrew and superceded earth. says soin the codex and during the game too.

the alliance is conventional military not a special ops group - given even spectres (2) are still supposed to fit within the conventional structure it may be post cerberus they decided special groups weren't worth the hassle, though the inflexibility of a large, centralised, military would work against them.

I was talking about their comments in ME2, I should have clarified.

Ken makes multiple remarks. Most notably-

"Operative Lawson can order me around whenever she wants. Her outfit always makes me 'stand at attention'" (Please don't make me explain that last part)

Gabby chimes in during a back-and-forth with Ken--

G: Forward tanks are buoyant.

K: You talking about the ship or Miranda?

G: I'm talking about the one that's locked down and secure, not bouncing about in the breeze.

Ken and Gabby are supposed to be comic relief, but they aren't umm... Funny. In fact, hearing Ken say those things in ME2 made me want to sock him right in the face.

Actually I like that converstaion. Not only can you always count on Ken and Gabby to say something intersting but it always put a smile on my face when someone in the ME uinverse acknowledged Miranda's hotness and her choice of clothing especially a horndog like Ken.

Having said that I not exactly happy with the fact that alot of gamers can't ( and don't ) take Miranda seriously just because of what she is wearing ( which is because Bioware were trying to make a point with Miranda and they did not know how to think outside of the box or how to convey the same ideas and still be subtle at the same time, a futuristic bussines suit would have suited her image more ) and I don't appreciate Bioware breaking the 4th wall to poke fun of the character they created.

What I want to know is why the retconned Miranda
to Cerberis 2IC. Because that makes her retroactively complicit in a
lot, if only through willful ignorance.

The way I see it, she was just using a bit of conversational shorthand. In the context of the sentence, she's just stating how the Alliance might view her, rather than going into detail about the structure and segregated nature of
Cerberus. They probably could've found alternative terms like 'cell leader' but there you go...

o Ventus wrote...
But in ME2 you can traverse the entirety of the CIC level (CIC, cockpit, armory, tech lab) without waiting a second. So in essence, Bioware removed 1 room (armory) and changed the other (tech lab), and it actually takes MORE time to navigate. Fantastic.

To clarify what Vertigo is saying. It's because of the online portion of the game. In the same way it has to do that bit of loading on the main menu, it does it again before entering there.

I definitely think the Cerberus 'arc' could've done with more refinement. In the same way that the Geth/Quarian conflict was very layered in terms of what plays into the resolution (loyalties, survivals in ME2 and 3, etc.) With Cerberus, you've already got Miranda, Jack and Jacob connected in some sense. And we know how much Miranda and Jack distrusted one another...and now the latter is working with the Alliance. I could have seen a lot of potential.

It isn't the acknowledgement that bothers me, it's the 1-sided presentation. That's the only other 3rd party talk you hear about Miranda outside the romance, and of course it's just a stupid, not-funny, poorly veiled sexual joke. I don't mind dirty humor (Hell, you should hang out with me sometime), but I hold myself to a set of standards. I don't sit around all day asking myself "I wonder what she looks like naked", because it's in bad taste and disrespectful to the individual. And because it's just a joke, I can't really get mad at him (I'd be a hypocrite if I would). I can loathe it with every fiber of my being like I do, but I can't get mad at it.

If I may totally honest (Please don't take this the wrong way), that wasn't very good. Miranda, in some panels, looks mentally challenged. There are spelling and grammar errors in numerous panels, and some of the dialogue is kind of cheesy and... I don't want to say out of character (Because it isn't, really), but... not exactly what I would envision Miranda saying in that situation.

Like I said, don't take that the wrong way. That's probably the harshest I've ever been on a critique. Not to sound like I could do better (I couldn't, my personal creativity takes too long to work with a regular publishing schedule), but the part I read was... bad. I know you said it was a trial version, but the early build wasn't that good.

Also a minor nitpick, but typically in comics, the speech bubbles have tails leading over to which character is speaking, just so it's easier to tell who's saying what. I wasn't having any problems with that, but someone might.

The art is great, but you need someone to take care of your writing a bit.
