I hope you don't take this the wrong way, because I do love your work, but I think the shading on the hair is a little too 'busy'. It needs to be there, but maybe not so much.

Also, I see what you said in the group about the fancy Ss. :P

Oh, the shade on her hair was done by the poster team XD

Yesika, I can try doing that on my tablet, if it's okay with the crew?

edit: HAHA, the girly Ss XD

This is really great, I like it potentially even more than the original MIA poster, which is also very cool.

Sure. My point earlier was partly just that, well, it's in the nature of posters that you put them up in different places. So, given that we are sending them to two very disparate locations, having the "core" poster, so to speak, in both places makes a certain amount of sense.

Well, I'll let you guys decide and vote what is best! I'm cool with anything. I'll also have a #FindMiranda watermarked on all posters.

@Asakawa

Thanks! High five to you as well.

Alright, look forward to reading it.

I believe in what Miranda views Cerberus ought to be.

Dito. And I want Miranda to lead humanity's STG in the post-ME3 universe.

Keep in mind, while I believe humanity has the largest population, only about 3% of humans ever serve in the Alliance military. Therefore, we need something akin to the salarians' STG to help protect our interests. That's originally what Cerberus was supposed to be I believe, but TIM "warped it" and went way too far.

"Only" 3%? That's 330 million people... Even if you posit that only 30% of that is shipboard personnel, you'd have enough to crew a few million frigates or a hundred thousand cruisers. The Alliance hasn't got 10% of that.

What the Alliance can't provide is intelligence, cutting edge research and controversial advances in science and technology. That's what an STG is for.

@MisterJB:
There's a fanfic which explores exactly that. I don't think I can find it again though.

I thought the Codex gave a 3% figure, which is why the other races are a bit scared of us. We could easily put together a bigger military and run roughshod. Though, like you pointed out, that is 330 million people, which sounds a bit high.

EDIT: Okay, the Codex states that 3% of humans volunteer for military service, which is why the Council regards us as a "sleeping giant."  masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Systems_Alliance (go down to Military Doctrine)

Say what you will about Cerberus, but I cared more about the original SR2 crew than the Alliance crew. They actually made the ship feel alive rather than reminding me how much I hated the war room security chekpoint. My favorite crew conversation in ME2 is between Hadley and Matthews:

Hadley: "How are we going to stop the Collectors?"

Matthews: "Don't worry, Shepard and Lawson are on it."

Absolutely. Every minute I walk through the Normandy in ME3, I miss the Cerberus crew. Just give me Samantha instead of Kelly and keep the rest. I even miss Gardner. Also the ME3 Normandy is dark and gloomy while the ME2 Normandy felt like home.

As for Shepard, yeah, all that damn saluting and "yessir" gets to me.

@Oransel:
Not in my universe, no she isn't. Not as a rule, anyway.

Throw Ash in there too (likely to replace Thane since he was dying) and I'd be all set.

Also, EDI would likely still end up with a body at some point.

Considering that the population of Earth in 2185 is 11.4 billion along with millions of colonists living on other worlds and stations throughout Alliance space. Looking at those numbers having 330 million individuals in the Alliance military makes sense considering that the Alliance fleet with all of its related War Assets comes close to filling the EMS bar.

Granted, I'd be willing to bet that the vast bulk of the Navy is centered around logistical support. Hauling soldiers and materiel across the galaxy and maintaining garrisons across dozens of worlds must be a nightmare. The number of marines isn't as large so the Alliance relies on drone support and specialists such as N7 teams to carry out ground-based operations.

I can see Miranda being into BDSM, probably as something to spice the relationship up rather than a lifestyle, with her role being variable. Sometimes she takes control, sometimes she gives it up.

No BDSM, but she made me call her "Master" once.  D:

I've always found the 3% stat in the codex to be peculiar. Unlike the other Council races, humanity seems a lot more fragmented and less centralized. The Turian Hegemony, the Salarian Union, and the Asari Republics (I think that's the formal name of the asari on the galactic stage) are highly integrated militarily and diplomatically at a galactic level but the Alliance doesn't seem to have the same authority over humanity. Autonomous nations still exist on Earth and while the Alliance seems to hold jurisdiction over the colonies, the various nations seem to still control what happens on the home planet.

With the majority of that 11 billion population residing on Earth, wouldn't the majority of people volunteering for military service be volunteering for the various national militaries and not the Alliance? I'd be very surprised if the Alliance had more than few million personnel, military and civilian combined.

You guys will have to forgive me if it's been discussed before (I finished ME3 late and didn't want to spoil myself so I avoided BSN), but does anyone else think Miranda looks a lot worse in ME3 than in ME2? The uncanny valley effect seems worse than before and now that she's on the run from Cerberus and trying to stay low key, the skintight catsuit seems completely out of place. It could just be me, but either Miranda's hairline seems to have been pushed further back or her forehead's bigger.

She does seem to fall a bit more into the Uncanny Valley in ME3 than in ME2 IMO. Might be the upgraded engine that is to blame. Her hair looks better though.

 I don't think Bioware was able to iron out the kinks in transferring Yvonne Strahovski's face directly into their engine. Miranda looks fine from the front and in stills but as soon as their's any kind of animation the uncanny valley effect takes hold. A big issue I wished they'd fixed between ME2 and ME3 was Miranda's jawline. I'm not an artist by any definition of the word but there's just something off about it, particularly back towards her ears. I imagine this has to do with the transition between Yvonne's face scan and the character model.

Instead of directly scanning Yvonne's face into the game, I think it would have turned out better if Bioware had just attempted to recreate her facial features within the game (the same way the other main characters like Jack or Ashley's were probably done). Scanning faces into ME doesn't seem to be a technique Bioware has mastered because Allers (a scan of Jessica Chobot) seems to have the same problems as Miranda.

Miranda has a complex relationship with power so yes. I could totally see her into BDSM.
Miranda is the wicked Cerberus dominatrix while Shepard is the captured Alliance officer who has been implanted with a control chip that forces him to do anything boymymindjustwentplaces.

My opinion is - she is naturally dominant and strives for power. This includes relationships as well. But in the case of Sheprad it is different for her as Shepard (especially renegade) is even more dominant than her, so she would be glad to change her ways into submissive for him only. She is submissive to Shepard, but dominatrix for everyone else.

Both of them are equally passionate in bed, at least according to my headcanon. One of the reasons my Shepard fell for Miranda is because she always competes with him to get him to prove himself to her. I see them as alternating not only positions, but how they do it. Neither knows what the other is going to do next, and that's pretty exciting for them. I also imagine that Miranda is very possessive and clingy, and for my Shepard that only makes her better. I assume that the two of them have a very vivacious sex life.

Yes, to all of this.  :D  Totally agree... They should be very passionate in bed.
