EVERYONE ATTENTION! Can you PLEASE delay that Miranda Fanbook Deadline to a June Date?

My Best Friend, who is a User here and A Miri Fan, called ThePinkFoxx is creating a Miri Cosplay Costume for a Convention. She is Cosplaying as Miri. It is now a work in progress. She REALLY wants to submit photos to the fanbook.

It's already been taken care of

Hard to say, you'll have to ask flemm or vertigo. But we had a dead line since, a month, or more than that.

There should have been threesomes in ME3.

I know Yesika agrees with me on this.

Here's a question, was anyone else hoping for a little more background for Miranda and Jacob's relationship in ME3?

The Shepard I'm playing now romanced Jacob and there's a little part of me that wishes femshep had a "gee, thanks for warning me Miranda" line or even some sort of response to a Shepard who was romancing Jacob in ME2.

I sort of picture Shepard and Miranda's relationship being a bunch of quiet moments inbetween missions, reports, and general day-to-day duties. They don't get much time together and reaching a point where their not separated by suicide missions or wars seems to be the dream they want to work towards in ME3. If all we get is a reunion scene with Shepard and Miranda I'll be happy, they can leave the rest ambiguous so I can headcannon away.

As for relationships I don't really see Miranda as the sort of person to mix business with pleasure (Shepard nonwithstanding) going off of ME2 when she's on a mission she's focused on the task at hand. Having James Bond-style flings while on the job doesn't really seem to be her type of thing. Off duty however, she has needs and so she resorts to things like iPartners to take care of them.

On the subject of having multiple LI's I've got a Shepard for pretty much everyone. I'm currently romancing Traynor who is quickly becoming one of my favorite ME characters.

After I completed my first playthrough with Sarah and romanced Sam, she became firmly entrenched in my top 3, behind Miranda and depending on my mood, either just ahead of or just behind Ashley. I'll admit that Anderson and Hackett probably round out my top 5.

@Dr. Doctor

Yes, I was hoping for more. For my Mshep, he was the jealous type so I wanted to know moar.

@kookie

Pour vous, Koty! :) This is by my friend Tutchangers. Not Mshep, but still a threesome you might like! :D

I have Idea for a NEW Drawing:

A drawing where Shepard Stands in the Middle with his Assault Rifle out, and Miri standing on one side Pointing her SMG out (Ready to fire), and Liara standing on the other side with a Heavy Pistol.

This didn't specifically pop into my head since for me, the less Jacob the better (my opinion only), but I do wish ME3 had expanded a lot more on all of the ME2 squaddies' backgrounds in general. I guess Miranda got a bit more than the others but it still wasn't enough.

I'm guessing this has probably been addressed before, but how did you guys deal with the fact Miranda's real surname is actually Lawson? Miranda keeping her surname despite all the people she has to hide from was so mindblowing to me that I still can't find a way to explain it away.

We have had some fierce arguing over this. Most of us consider it to be an idiocy.
Personally, I find it insulting. It's as if Bioware tought its fanbase was not intelligent enough to understand the concept pseudonym and why someone in Miranda's line of work would need one.

About the surname, I can see it as a way to insult Miranda intelligence (not using a fake surname while she was hifing from her father?), or they are treating her fanbase as idiots, just like the viewers are morons trophy.

That's what I suspected as well - that Bioware feared giving Miranda's father a different surname would result in players not drawing the familial connection.

It's silly from Bioware, she should have had an alias.
It would have added another layer to the character. I could definitely imagine her telling Shepard about her real identity and name in her office before her loyalty mission.
Either we were considered as idiots or it was an oversight made by BW which remained uncorrected. They probably imagined the name Miranda Lawson before her familial history and didn't realised the absence of an alias was problematic or they did but didn't care, no big deal.

BTW guys, after the long vacation I took from the BSN, I decided to write my letter for the fanbook before it's too late. The problem is I don't really know what to say. I think I'll took a few things from my PAX letter but could you guys tell me what you wrote in yours ? :)

Actually no, she will die.
Follow my logic:
101 only talked about doing ME3 again which suggests he will either import his already existing Shepard that romanced Miranda or he will just start a new game without import.
In a playthrough without import, Miranda. unavoidably, dies. And, in order to romance Liara in ME3, he would have to break up with Miranda in which case she will die.

no, simply don't break up with miranda, but romance liara when given the opportunity, miranda shifts to "friend zone" without a word (you have to do it before the hookup scene on the citadel) and she does then survive. Like that the romances have a more natural transition (despite no miranda comment), and the Liara one develps quite naturally, given their shared history over 3 games.

Find me in the camp of those who think it insulting as well. Players are morons after all....

Not necessary. If you imported a game with a romanced Miranda but want to switch, confirm Miranda's romance in the first encounter and go on to romance LIara. Yeah, it's cheating but I'd rather be a jerk than responsible for Miranda's death.

Bioware assumes we're all COD fanboys that can't follow a plot longer than a squirrel can.

I think there's a lot of room for variation in Shep's sexual history. I have one that would have done iPartners, another that was married and divorced, and another that I'm not sure notices non0Miranda people as sex-objects. The divorcee is the only one I RP'd as dumping Miranda, ironically enough.

I wonder if anyone else has made a backstory like this: Cyrus Shepard met Miranda before, in 2176, and had a fling with her when they were both disguised and under cover. When they met again in ME2, they didn't recognize each other until the engine room scene. No in-between relationship for him because he couldn't forget the mysterious woman who was found to not exist according to the Alliance's records.

I think she definitely knows her way around the bedroom. What strikes me in both her love scenes is how playful she is. She's grim, hesitant, and even pessimistic elsewhere, but sex with someone she cares about is a fun, joyous affair.

Yes, I like that about the scenes as well. Also she's generally different in the romance than out of it, and I like that as well. It's like seeing a part of her nobody else ever gets to see. Exhilarating.

I'd love for them to fix it. I'm finicky enough to want a clip of Miranda from ME3, and I romance Traynor too. So I want to see my LI. And epilogue slides. I want epilogue slides.

I *want* epilogue slides
I *need* the fixed flashback.

Well, actually, I don't need it that much since I already modded my game to fix it. But I need it as a sign that they're paying attention to legitimate complaints. There may be disagreement about the ending, but Shepard not seeing the LI before they go, that's insulting.

As for the epilogue slides, yeah, the high EMS Control slide for Miranda from the unofficial epilogues is just epic. All LIs get on to Project Shepard if I understand things correctly, but for Miranda it's so utterly appropriate and fitting, it couldn't have been better if specifically made for her.

I'm also fond of the idea of an elderly or terminally ill Miranda finding a way to join Shepard as the Catalyst. Just the right note of bittersweet.
