I asked Mac Walters what he's going to be up to for the rest of the week:

twitter.com/#!/macwalterslives/status/93784588677156864
"Well, that answered my question from yesterday. Anymore VO work to be done for the rest of the week? or just #comiccon?"

"#comiccon 2 tomorrow. 2 Monday. And maybe on Friday. Stay tuned for more...

If you've been following he's been revealing who hes been doing VO work with the past few days...
Think the next 4+ will include Yvonne?

"HEY MAC COULD YOU PLEASE ANSWER THIS QUESTION? How is the writing going for Miranda? Is her character being developed more?"

"I CANNOT ANSWER THAT QUESTION :). Yet.... Sorry folks. Can I interest you a nice Admiral, or Asari perhaps?"

LOL discussion in caps...

one of the largest threads in this forum, bioware would be idiots if they didnt make her a main character/LI in this game.

Yet? Looks like they intend to answer that very question at some point. Hopefully comic con!

What if they kill Miranda at the beginning of the game?. Like Pressly... Maybe Shepard's XOs are cursed.

Nah I think it was just Pressly that was cursed =P
Besides Miranda won't be shown at the beginning; Shepard on trial + Escaping Earth will be the prologue.

dont know if its been commented on but i was just over at imdb and its right there in yvonne's filmography that she's filming me3 right now. so if there was still any other doubts...

anyway i was thinking that a good way to bring her back would be for when shepard first encounters cerberus and he sees that everything is definitely not kosher. so he decides to get in contact with miranda to get her input. now regardless if she died or not she gave shepard the name of a trusted contact. when shepard goes to meet with this contact for information they can either help point shepard in the right direction to find miranda OR (if she died) point him in the right direction of the character who does whatever her role in me3 would end up being

If I had a dime every time someone brought up IMDB...

:P
----------------
Point is we are all pretty sure she's doing VO work for Miranda.  The reason I brought up the latest tweets from Mac Walters is that this week is a major VO work week + Yvonne is in town for Comic Con +  he told me there are at most 5 more sessions to go (for this week & next) & more importantly he's revealing who is in the booth each day (See Twitter thread).

With the recent Courtaney Taylor teet (Jack's VO) I think people are more interested in how much dialogue Miranda could end up having in ME3.

Yeah, Jack's VO said she's been booked for 4 sessions of VO work.
A session can go up to 4 hours according to Bioware's VO director...so far we've speculated it would be between 4-16 hours of dialogue for her.

And since Jack is an LI like Miranda we think the number of hours will be the same for both, although we'd like to think since Miranda is tied to the Cerberus plot more than Jack, that she would get the higher end of the 4-16 hour range.

For reference: Seth Greene has 12 hours of dialogue for ME3.

No need she resigned from Cerebus , when you blow up the base if you took her with you on the final mission .
So really no explanation needed for Miranda joining Shepard crew .
This happens even if she isn´t your LI , as long you blow up the base , it was funny I mean for somebody so Cerebus dedicated she also agreed , that destroying the base was the best option ;)

i know miranda resigns but there are more ways to keep track of cerberus activities then infiltrating their organization or spying from within. the problem i see is if in a playthrough where doesnt survive then there must be someway for shepard to track down another source who can help him with cerberus (if that is what her role in me3 will mostly entail). shepard can't just go directly to miranda, she might not've survived me2. the way i figure is she broke contact with shepard at some point between me2 and me3 in order to do her thing.

in fact itd be PERFECT if liara was somehow involved with her role as the new SB. go to her and be like, okay cerberus is a pain in the ass and i need help. i need to know what their game is. then she tells you where to find miranda and if miranda died then the can give you the next best source of information.

as for miranda not resigning? if she didnt then chances are she wouldve left the normandy after shepard blew up the base or returned to cerberus when it became obvious that shepard wasnt going to play ball with tim.

Will try to answer both in one way .

If by that time , Miranda still didn´t trust Shepard , her character would demand to be on final group of Shepard party.
So basically even if you haven´t taken Miranda with you on the final mission part of suicide .

She would be contacted by TIM to prevent you from blowing up the base .
If she really was that Ceberus dedicated , she would have done it anyway .
You are talking about genetic perfected human being , with cold hard calculations .
And no mercy to put a bullet in somebody backside . or use her biotecs.

Now basically Miranda I have no doubt she will be a perma Squad member or Perma Crew member.
Cause basically the voice actress is too lovely :D if Jack is back , so will Miranda .
Anyway she has the XO job , so she is safe to be on normandy Perma .

It is the poor people without a job lol , like zaeed ,grunt , kasumi , legion , thane .. that you cannot put them as perma ship members , So welldone Bioware in messing that up ;)

No she couldnt have done anything if she was defending the door. She was busy staying alive. I dont think she resignes, if shes not there to see how TIM treats Shepard.

Sorry this is about Shepard gaining everybody trust beyond allegiance or doubts , now if you didn´t care about Miranda trust , she would have probaly died in the suicide mission . thus in your game she wouldn´t appear in ME3

Why do all the ex ceberus crew will stay with shepard (some of them are not even ceberus tied , just joined cause of shepard ) Cause of Shepard himself saving them .

Well if you didn´t save them then you probaly get the generic Alliance Crew . +Joker and Chakwas and EDI .
Anyway make no mistakes , she knows all too well about TIM using people , as head of intelligence person .
You don´t get there by being naive .
Just the question is answered by your own action , can you persuade her to trust Shepard more then TIM .
In my story or playtrough my Shepard did and Miranda was part of the final act on the suicide mission .

I actually liked Miranda. I was looking forward to getting to know who she actually was. That was until I lost her loyalty after Jack's mission. Sadly Miranda was the only squadmate to no make it in the last mission. I'm hoping I'll save her on my next playthrough.

First, genetic perfection has nothing to do with how tactically you think. Second, Miranda knows she couldn't go against Shepard and the second team member and expect to win. So she throws in her lot with Shepard.

I agree that Shepard has her loyalty if you did her loyalty mission. But that says nothing about how she stands with Cerberus. In fact, she defends Cerberus during the romance. So I find it much more plausible that she goes back to them when Shepard goes to trial, unless she pissed off TIM at the Collector base by resigning. In that case, TIM probably won't trust her again.

What happens then is anyone's guess, but I can see a few constants:
(1) Miranda will continue to work for the advancement of humanity. That may or may not include Cerberus.
(2) Miranda will help fighting the Reapers. That will probably mean breaking with Cerberus, unless Cerberus has broken into factions.
(3) Miranda will not become our enemy unless we choose to be her enemy.

I also hope that there are decisions we can make in the main plot that would make Miranda leave or become our enemy. That would sharped her profile as a character.

disagree, she clearly changes alignment and has more faith in shepard than TIM at that point, besides she could have acted with an element of surprise, in a hostile environment and may have prevailed (shepard was kneeling, facing away, and the other squaddie wasn't exactly watching her). it would have been a risk, but one an operative of her status could have made the call on.

really can't see miranda going back to cerberus after the evenets of ME2 - she's not stupid.

1. yes. 2. yes but i highly doubt she's re-aligned with Cerberus. 3. not going to happen.
