I ship femshep and Miranda, but I then again I pretty much ship anyone and everyone when it comes to games/movies/tv shows.jtav wrote...
Hale and Meer record the same script. I doubt it was ever really intended. Which doesn't stop me from shipping them. But then, I ship Miranda with Liara.

Warning: baseless speculation.
I think Miranda Solheim was originally a very different character from Miranda Lawson. The concept art is more sinister and more sexual than what we see in-game. She looks like a villain, frankly. I think we were originally going to get a character who was much more the classic femme fatale, who Shepard couldn't really trust until s/he was won over. A combination of factors, including the assignment of Weekes and Strahovski'd hiring, led to us having the character we all know and love.
That's one thing I like about AssaultSloth's portrayal of her - she still has a vulnerable human side but she's also ruthless to the point of being evil (for instance it's strongly implied that she and TIM planned to kill everyone on Lazarus station from the beginning, for security reasons, and Wilson was just the fall guy). Very different from my (or, I think, many people's) impression of her and creates more potential for internal and external conflict.

Hey, wasn't Miri originally Intended to be a Love Interest for both MaleShep AND FemShep? I wonder why they cut the FemShep part out? Did they think it would be bad? It would have been a VERY interesting and possibly well written Scenario, just as good with MaleShep.
Initially, yeah, but that was scrapped (Thankfully).

The Education of Miranda Lawson was something I started a long time ago. Miranda is a college student on Thessia. Less bitter and broken and more arrogant and eager.

As for her possible other concept. I would of been all for a more renegade Miranda not to the point of becoming TIM Jr or cartoony like Kai Leng, but I wouldn't of minded her being a little more questionable morally (not racist though).

Well, I guess that Miranda's character concept evolved as Cerberus evolved. We know that originally it was not supposed to be important, really, just a human extremist group that you hear about in a couple of side quests in ME1.
But for ME2 it became more important, and the portrayal of the organisation changed. It was fleshed out and given more depth. So, that's what happened with Miranda, too, I guess. She is largely responsable for making the argument to the player that Cerberus has an idealistic core. She seems to understand the problem ("too many join Cerberus out of xenophobia"), but that's not what she wants.
There's really no doubt that she's being sincere. I think that the character is still morally questionable, despite that, just not, as you say, in a cartoony way.

I disagree with that part. I really can't think of Miranda getting into a lesbian relationship. In my eyes she is a completely straight woman who needs a man... not that it wouldn't be hot, thoughstrive wrote...
I think Miranda would of been the best option for a bisexual female human personally.

There's no stigma against being bisexual. Though I'm sure Miranda has her reasons for remaining heterosexual. That would be down to personal interpretation.
To me, she seems very distrustful or curt with either gender, but there's that prospect of some control over men (because we are easily manipulated by pretty women), which might explain her preference.
Also she has daddy issues.
Thanks! I know it was meant as a compliment, and it's a very encouraging one, but "you do a great job of being Miranda" makes me feel weird.dtrain24 wrote...

Agreed. This is just my own viewpoint, but I've always seen Miranda as completely heterosexual. Like I've said before, it's awkward to have a formerly 100% straight character (no matter the gender) suddenly swing both ways. I'm glad Miranda is for MShep only, like how I'm glad Garrus is FShep exclusive.

You're writing is very good but my very traditional mindset prevents me from fully enjoying it.
EDIT: Yes I know, how can someone who promotes the idea of threesomes not be comfortable with this? Someone needs to bonk me in the head hahaha.
