I think I just read the most horrible Mshep/Miranda fanfic ever made. Grammar and all was fine, but Miranda was so out of character. It's like she has PMS in every chapter and she is so needy.

Hahaha, I hate fanfics like that with sensitive, needy Miranda and there are actually a lot of those like that.

Hahaha, I hate fanfics like that with sensitive, needy Miranda and there are actually a lot of those like that.

If there's one thing I try to avoid when I write, it's a needy and overly sensitive Miranda. I am confident that I've been able to avoid that up to this point.

This is a Charm Option that Shepard says when Vasir held a woman hostage, after Vasir told them to drop their Thermal Clips and Power Cells. What did Shepard mean? Can someone help me paraphrase this somehow?

Granted, Shepard technically is allowed to say it, since each Shepard is inherently different to some degree. If someone wants to write a sappy kissy-kissy Shepard, then that's on them. I fail to see why Miranda would fall for a Shepard like that, but I digress.

Miranda on the other hand? Not so much.

I still don't get it. It sounded like Shepard said that for her safety, He/She hopes her escape plan doesn't cause him/her to hesitate shooting the hostage? I don't get it. I've been trying to figure this out for almost and hour or more. I feel stupid.

Can you at least paraphrase that quote?

Good thing. People who write her like that are either clueless or believe she should be more emotional, which I'm totally against; Miranda fell for Shepard, she didn't have a lobotomy. An example of that is if Shepard dumps Miranda she doesn't play victm, doesn't ask why, she gets sad but accepts it and tries her best not to let him see her crying and when they meet again is as if nothing happened. Though I don't think her character was well written in ME3, at least they didn't turn her into a pathetic love sick puppy.

Like I said, Shepard is just intimidating Vasir, saying that he/she isn't afraid to kill an innocent if he/she was fine with sacrificing hundreds of humans, or re-unleashing the rachni. Shepard is trying to get Vasir to release the hostage through the intimidation, because Shepard knows Vasir is a coward.

It's not that complicated really. Did Shepard shoot the hostage? No. That means he was only bluffing and he never intended to shoot the hostage, he just needed Vasir to believe he would.

Luis, Shepard just wants Vasir to believe he'd shoot the hostage if it meant getting to her. Doesn't mean he would, so much that he/she didn't shoot the hostage if you remember how that scene played out.

Yes, it's hard for me to see Miranda falling for a sappy Shepard type. I mean I know there are people who those types of Shep's but I find those fics very unbearable. Like my preference for Shep/Miri fics usually involves them hating each other's guts at the very beginning and then eventually loving each other. If fic writers can pull that off, then I'm impressed. I think it's a challenge to make two characters who have opposite ideals, not only see eye to eye but fall in love. I know some of you guys gave me some really good ones which follow this criteria.

Also! Babi, that lobotomy comment was hilarious.
