It can also be argued that Kai Leng running into that box of Captain Crunch was just bad luck, but if he'd attempted a strategy that didn't involve breaking into Anderson's apartment and eating every bowl of cereal in his way, he never would have made that mistake. He's a high fructose corn syrup addict, and if he keeps leaving empty cereal boxes everywhere, eventually he will mistakenly eat something TIM would probably he rather not eat, like TIM's last box of Flintstones Fruity Pebbles.

Ok, I lol'd pretty hard at that. Thanks Image IPB

Ah Miri:wub::wub::wub::wub:.

Looking at this Shot and listening to the "End Title" Theme from the Film "Blade Runner" is just Perfect.

I think Miranda is fairly idealistic in her overarching goals and views but very utilitarian in the means she uses to achieve those goals. There's probably not much she wouldn't do to accomplish a mission if the stakes were high enough.

I see her preference as normally trying to avoid complications like torture and seduction but if it's necessary or the most expedient method in a time sensitive mission she'll do it. Despite her appearance and her outfits, I feel like the impression of the character we were supposed to get was that her greatest strength is her intelligence and her versatility in utilizing it. She's perfectly capable of switching gears from scientist to administrator to combat biotic completely seamlessly. Other characters might be better at individual roles, but Miranda's adaptability is what sets her apart.

Regarding specifically the issue of Miranda "cheating" on Shepard to accomplish a mission, I think she'd avoid it if she could but if she felt it was absolutely necessary she wouldn't hesitate to sleep with someone else. That said, I can't see that many scenarios where she would have to go all the way. The power of seduction is that by exploiting the desire of men to sleep with her, she can manipulate them until she gets what she needs. Once she's allowed them to sleep with her, they've gotten what they wanted. At that point Miranda would have to gamble on them continuing to want to sleep with her in the future to continue to string them along. Going from seduction to actual sex would seem to result in a loss of effectiveness when it comes to manipulating a target.

That's how I felt about Miranda ... she would use whatever means was the most effective to reach her desired goal. Would she use her body after being with PV Shepard? In my headcanon yes ... but neither character (PV or Miranda) was a virginal teenager in love. They were people who did what they needed to in order to get the job done, even if it meant putting their own emotions to the side. I admired her character for that and it created some great headcanon between her and my female Shepard as well.

I think a romanced Miranda would use her body to seduce her target. But she would never have sex or intimate much with the target. The guy could be taking his pants off just to find Miranda aiming at him with a pistol.

Ha, yeah, probably. A good point was made earlier about seduction/attraction being the main "weapon," so to speak.

Still, this doesn't seem to be a main focus where Miranda is concerned, as we see her in the game. Her work for Cerberus seems to be more about big projects like Lazarus ("Cerberus never tells me something is impossible, etc.")

If having sex with someone meant saving lives or the galaxy then I wouldn't have a problem with it.

Sex is just a physical act.  Having sex with someone else does not mean they don't love you.

Sorry, but Dietz destroyed my ability to take him seriously as a villain. And that e-mail he sends you in ME3 just makes it worse. I've been trolled worse than that by junior high schoolers. TIM is a villain. Leng is like a bug who annoys you b/c he just won't sit still long enough for Shepard to step on him.

Agree on this but who's Dietz?

How much would any of you compare Miri and Natasha Romanoff? I just came back from seeing The Avengers for a second time.:D

I wonder if the Fight between Miri and Kai Leng (With Miri SURVIVING) was similar to the fight between Natasha and Hawkeye?:D

Hmmm, there are some superficial similarities. Outfit, "skillset," sketchy background. Both have a kind of "femme fatale" vibe.

But with Miranda you have that idealistic side, whereas Natasha says, "I had a very specific skill set, and I didn't care who I used it for." So, that's the opposite, really. Also, Miranda is partly a scientist. And then Miranda's emotional side seems deeper and more sincere (though here there is some room for doubt, since some of Black Widow's scenes in Avengers kind of suggest there might be deeper feelings there than she wants to admit).

They both have good marksmanship and they both can be cold to enemies.

But Miri will always have the Upper Hand. She has Combat AND Scientific Expertise, AND she has Biotic and Tech Skills.

If Miri were in something similar to Shield, what field would she take part of? Combat, Tactical, or Scientific approach?

Well, I really like it, as I said before. Awesome concept. My only comment is that perhaps the effect would be stronger with a little less text. But... I dunno. That's a judgement call.

@ Flemm

Comic-verse Black Widow and Hawkeye is similar. Back in her KGB days she used him to help her steal tech from Stark Industries and disappears shortly after. She eventually defects from the Soviet Union and works as a freelancer and winds up with SHIELD. Her and Hawkeye are a lot like Jacob and Miranda, they work together and they have a past but they don't really talk about it.

As for movie-verse Black Widow, it's hard to tell. She's getting her own origin movie so I guess we'll find out then.

That's how I see it. I have a particular problem with claims like "she would never.....". Miranda's decisions are always situational, and there are few things she would "never" do if its the best solution in the circumstances. Sex just isn't serious enough to deserve a "never".

Very impressive, Vertigo. If I may point out a few mistakes:
(1) It's spelled "resilient", not "resiliant"
(2) "This isn't a popularity contest, lives are at stake", misses the "are".
(3) On the Cerberus logo below the world "loyalist", there appears to be the word "xxtechnically".

Also, "Cerberus is humanity's answer.....", I like that you're using different fonts, but the Fraktur/Gothic feels inappropriate. The same for "They give me my resources...."
Nice touch with the #FindMiranda tag.

I like the abundance of text on this pic, it shows there always something to say about Miranda in my opinion.
You have to take your time to read them all, just like you had to take your time to know her better.
