When you talk to Miranda's hologram later in the game, is it normal that you never get any notice about the apartment meeting, but find out about it just by studying the map?
Always found that weird...

I'm sure she sends you an e-mail - saying something along the lines of "I've found out some more details...I can meet up and talk when you're next on the Citadel".
I normally get it after I've met with the Quarians and taken out the Geth dreadnought.

Is that mail just for apartment meeting? Isn't that the mail that leads you to the hologram?GuitarShredUK wrote...

Fact is, right after that hologram I can directly run to the apartment... without any specific e-mail that I would have to catch on the Normandy.

She sends another email to meet again, this time promising the meeting will be face to face if I'm not mistaken.

Seems like I am not the only one simply ran over to her... I just can't seem to remember the face-to-face e-mail afterwards...

I do however remember checking my map at every location each visit on the Citadel after the apartment scene hoping that I'd get to see her again, much to my disappointment. Needless to say, the first time I played through Sanctuary I was rushing to get to her.

hahaha. Yes me too! I was so worried about missing her and going through Sanctuary just go get to her. I missed a few goodies *weapon* along the way. I replayed Sanctuary a few times and got everything I think, even the weapon that was in one of the husks "cages". I missed that before. I've brought different squad with me to see if there was anything different they say... not really.

Never got the apartment email, never got a journal update. I ran into Miranda while I was doing that mission with Kasumi and Zaeed. Bioware, while your fixing the ending, please give me a journal that actually updates quest info and tells me where to go. You've been making RPG's for years and this is just embarassing.
Yes, ME1 and ME2 journals were a lot better than ME3. ME3's journal is completely useless and the quest needed a bit more description. I frequently went to sites like IGN and other's just to figure out where the stuff was located. I ended up missing a few items on quests. Thank god you can buy them and not get stuck with uncompleted quests. The Aquintius (however you spell the darn planet is bugged, I think. You can do anything with it.)
All the quests seemed like a reminder from planets explored in ME1 and ME2? Hmm...

I think the bug is that Miranda appears early, not that the email is late. If you don't go to meet Miranda immediately after she appears on the map, you'll get the email eventually.Dr. Doctor wrote...

Also, I do not agree that "go and talk to character X" should appear in the journal unless it's a part of a quest. I found that annoying in DA2, that your conversations were railroaded so much. ME3 has the same timed conversations, but your journal doesn't intrude into your private life.

I found it annoying that it didn't update the fetch quests on whether you collected the item already or not. I always had to rely on the navpoints on the citadel to notify me that I could finish the quest. I felt that that should have been the job of the journal, it was more of me with a pencil and a notepad to verify where I had been and what I had collected. I also wished there was a conversation journal like there was in DA:O, I admit, sometimes I drifted off when people were talking to me and I couldn't recall what they said.

I didn't get the email first either, so it was a nice surprise when I saw Miranda on the Citadel map.
I missed the Saber in Sanctuary...because of a friggin' bug.

ME3's journal is one serious issue.... can't deny that.
Well it is indeed poor but wouldn't even make my top 3 failings, which are ending, auto-dialogue & Miranda's Cerberus arc absence.

I usually bring Ashley & EDI there. The first time, I figured after Horizon in ME2, Ashley & Miranda would have something to say to each other. EDI would be obvious (after all even Jack comments on EDI's new body if you bring her to Grissom Academy), but Miranda acknowledges neither of them. Miranda also doesn't say anything to Liara either.enayasoul wrote...

What I wish they'd fix though is removing quests if they're locked out. I didn't get all the data packages or whatever on Eden Prime and you can't go back to it. But that quest haunted my journal for the rest of the game. Pretty annoying. Also for some reason every time I'd open the journal it would open to Aria's missions even though they were long completed and way down the page.

The sad thing is that it was delayed. Not by too much, but it was delayed.
