well that was disappointing pretty much confirmed ash and liara get more screen time than Miri or any me2 character. Im still psyched for the game just a little let down.

Well, Liara's a constant. Can you blame them?

You actually can't kill Liara, so it makes sense for her to have a lot of screen time. Casey Hudson really doesn't want to say much about Miranda's role, and I'll take that as a good thing.

On a side note, biotic punch looks freaking awesome.

Don't tell MisterJB what the demo was LOL

Also saw another Miranda art next to Jesse yay!

I've seen it too. :)

So he said that there won't be permanent squadmates, just squadmates who will remain for a short or a long period.
Let's hope Miranda will be a squadmate for a long period.

This is what I'm hoping for too since it is Cerberus we are after here (aside from the Reapers)
But I wouldn't mind a temp squadmate role for her with lots of dialogue :D

I want Miri, that is all I'm gonna say. She deserves as much Time and Character Development as any other LI's/Squad Mates.

I'm tired of seeing other characters/fans of other LI's pampered (in a sense, they are).

I don't think other LIs are being pampered. I do want to be able to put Miranda in my squad alongside Liara and Kaidan, though.

This is what I would also like except replace Kaidan with Ashley

Ideally I would have liked Mordin and Miranda :(

First thing that I'll try in ME3 is to get Liara killed. No that i hate her, its just that she is the only squad member that couldn't be kill in ME or ME2.

And my ideal squad is Miranda (if she still haver her passive and warp/overloard skills) and Garrus.(tech and firepower).

I get the feeling she might be able to die (not that I hate her, I actually like her), just that these things happen in trilogies; See: Sergeant Johnson from Halo 3.

FYI: If you missed the demo shown here is the link to watch it again:

No you can't really, since man first looked to the stars our specie's goal has been to make it with blue space babes. lol

But in all honesty, I feel that most of the me2 characters are going to get shafted. But I don't know im still hopeful but aware that I may be disappointed.

I think this is likley. I hope. It's setup with the end of ME2 esp if she left Cerebus for a lot to happen with her character.

Guys what did you think of the quality of the demo shown today? I feel like it still needs plenty of polishing. For instanced that at one point Shepard used his biotic punch and he had misshed the Cerberus trooper, yet it still managed to knock him down like it it actually hit him. Also I noticed the combat was not as smooth yet. I mean i know they're obviosuly not really concentratraing on polishing but like I really hope they make thing much more smooth without those minor hiccups in framerate and such...Posted Image

When they said all new, I was expecting all new, not just an extra min. of something we've already seen.

Well a different demo will be available for Gamescon but I think it might just be something we have seen but extended like today.

Ughh same here man!! That was so cheap! Even worse, the demo STILL isn't as polished as I had expected. I remember a game dev on twitter mentioning he was ironing out the bugs in the demo they were going to show off for comic con and it turns out it was the same exact one they showed at E3, of coure just a tiny bit extended

"Done the #SDCC2011 #ME3 demo. Turn around, start work on the #Gamescom demo. Demos forever. Good thing ME3 is so nice to show off"

So not the same demo as we saw but no indication it will be entirely new, probably either Earth or Rannoch but extended.

It's still a lot of time of development... given ME1 and ME2 I am not concerned as much, they aren't near the polishing phase... I'm more concerned about content/characters/other gameplay aspects. I thought it was a great demo all things considered, despite being basically the same as E3. I'm hopeful for a nice new reveal by the end of ComicCon.

Miranda was a great balance character. She was so tough witted but also had her softer sides.

Also my Shepards don't trust the Alliance more than Cerberus at the end of ME2. Too bad we won't be able to play a freelance Shepard in ME3, with Miranda as XO.

I consider my Shepard as having alternate motivs for his Paragon actions in ME1.

I always consider my Shepard as having a difficult past, even before his parents were killed on Mindior. As a result he would choose the Paragon route even though, he wasn't always convinced he was doing the right thing.

After he met Miranda it gave him a whole new perspective.

Uh Oh... I'm just hoping that means, we're alone in the Prologue.. then shortly after we're given a mission to reunite with Miranda and we have her on our team for the rest of the game..

It was an interesting premise, but not a plausible one. I'm with jtav on this.

All I say is that they can make it plausible with no heavy retcons. Also when I say I envision Miranda doing her own thing independently from Shepard or Cerberus, I'm not talking about a private army but rather something scientific - work together with the likes of Rana Thanoptis to "crack" indoctrination, for instance. We have the armies (those of the species we convince to work with us) and the information network (the Shadow Broker's network). The scientific angle of the "Reaper problem" is unoccupied. Since she'd have to hunt for artifacts to study, her abilities as an operative would aslo not go to waste, and it would be a good setup for working together with Shepard again later.

As for running for her life, I can only say that the galaxy is big and communication is fast. The Shadow broker can run a galaxy-wide information network from a place as remote as Hagalaz. Miranda does not have the resources for something like that, but the scale of her operation would be quite a bit smaller. All she needs is lab space, a small starship and an extranet connection. Preferably on some remote world.
