Seeing Miranda cry made my head hurt. Not because I couldn't understand it, but because it made me feel terrible.

Ehh, I still like the picture I posted earlier better.

Yeah, it made me feel good and bad at the same time. That was the turning point of her character development. Not even the most outrageous Ashley or Liara fans could call Miranda a heartless **** after watching that scene....oh wait, they didn't do Miranda's loyalty mission. Whoops.

More like they didn't bother to ever speak to her at all.

I'm serious. I can't count the number of people I've met who say they've never talked to Miranda past Lazarus Station (Not even for the loyalty mission).

Yeah, it's pretty sickening. Oh well...their loss.

First: How do yu think Miranda was when she was recruited? I don't think it was ever mentioned. I'm leaning towards 16.

Agreed.

Second: Do you think Miranda took Oriana before or after she joined Cerberus? And at what age was she taken? Maybe a year old. My idea is that Miranda took Oriana and she was recruited by Cerberus while on the run, protection to Oriana was their sell pitch.

My fanfic Promethean Legacy has Miranda discover her fathers' Cerberus contacts at the same time when she discovers Oriana's existence. The Cerberus contact gives Miranda a place to run to. I think that's a very likely scenario.

Third: Who do you think would be most appropriate operative to have recruited her? I'm leaning towards Paul Grayson, but given his role in the organization I don't think it'd make sense. The other two choices I have are Oleg and Colonel Ashe.

If it must be a known person, Oleg Petrovsky. Ashe is too young. I'd rather think it was someone we don't know though. Petrovsky is a soldier, and Miranda's more the spy/scientist type. It should've been someone closer to that.

Petrovsky might work well as more of a mentor figure for Miranda. As for recruiting LOTSB and the conversations with Kelly in ME3 reveal that TIM isn't always in his office on Cronus Station. Miranda might be considered a valuable enough asset to warrant an offer to join Cerberus from the man himself.

Hmm...I usually don't like pictures that use this model, but this is a really good composition. Love the color scheme.

It is truly inspiring. Also your integrity. I think most people would have waited to post that image at the top of the next page. But no. You were ready to defy convention, to redefine the genre.

Well done, sir, well done Image IPB

Heh, I just realized Miranda *is* an unintentional temptress figure. I'm a shameless metagamer, so I tend to find out results and craft the story with the end in mind. My Miranda romancing Sheps choose Synthesis, so I have to actively choose to forgo that imagined reunion. *whimpers*

She tempts you into choosing Destroy for survival you mean? Yeah, I've thought along those lines as well. I'm not too fond of the theme, but it's actually one of the first things that came to mind after I came to know the endings.

Anyway, that's what headcanon is for. In a way, it's an advantage that the ending is so bad. Were it less depressing, I would've never outright defied a canonical death in my personal vision of the endings.
Also, I'm a fanfic writer with an on going Miri series; After the Reapers: The Miranda Chronicles (http://www.fanfictio...anda_Chronicles) and I've got a question.

In the final Sanctuary scene, would it be IC for Henry to say that he knows about Miri & Shep? 'Cause I was planing on having X say something like "Not on my watch you're not!" to Lawson Senior when he threatens to finish what Leng started with Miri and then Henry tells them that he knows about them (via TIM) being a couple and that he raised his daughter to always desire the best.
I would like such a scene. It's quite possible that Henry knows about them. I'll have a look at your fanfic.
Would he have found out on his own, or would TIM have said something to him?
It's rather more likely that TIM found out and told him, but you can construct a situation where he found out on his own easily. All it would take is a slip-up by Miranda and Shepard in a place where they can be seen by one of Henry's spies or mercenaries. Or cameras.
So something like Miri and X enjoying a night out on the town and getting snapped by the paparrazi (Emily Wong) and then said pics being posten on the Extranet? That could work eitherway, for TIM or for Lawson Senior.

Also, would TIM go after Oriana after Miri quit Cerberus (like an abduction atempt) to help Henry? (another WIP fic idea)

p.s. any tips on how to work ass-shots into a story told from Miranda's perspective? I'm asking for a friend...

Miranda remotely hacking into the camera of someone who's following her?

@SpectresHonour:
I can't see TIM going after Oriana if he can let Henry do it. He never does more than necessary. He'd just pass the information.

I am dissapointed.
When I heard Oriana can kill herself and Henry, I was expecting an heroic sacrifice to end her father's ambitions.
Instead, she struggles for a little bit, Henry acts as if he is trying to restrain an angry krogan rather than a 20 years old girl and, I'm not joking here, the fall looks like an unfortunate accident.
That is...sort of pathetic.

Okay, then would it be to predictable for Lawson Senior to try an abduction attempt (which is twarted by X and Miri) prior to ME3 (where he's succcesful with a second attempt because Miri's busy being on the run)

Of course they can but there is no indication Oriana is athletic and Henry Lawson is a full grown man.
