I doubt she hates the character. I just think Mass Effect is lowlowlow on her priority list. I doubt she cares much about it.Skullheart wrote...

Probably, relative to other work she does. Which is natural, really. For this type of thing she is just in a studio for a few hours with a director. Whereas with something like Chuck it's years of work with co-stars and an entire production team that she gets to know.
Anyway, we went through all the doom and gloom about her involvement prior to the release of the game, and... she was back. So... meh.

I personally don't think Miranda would be the same without Strahovski though. In my opinion, voice acting is a vital part of a character.

The only reason I can think of that she may come back is if she's bored (unlikely) and is in the neighborhood of the recording studio.

As for Miranda in the EC, given the likely starting point, I don't think she needs lines, just plug in the model into whatever reunion scene they have and not killing her off. I'd raather they spend her fee on other stuff. Like cinematics showing the galaxy wasn't smashed to pieces. Just fix the flashback and give any funeral speeches to a non-LI.

Unless you're forced into it for whatever reason, wanting the job is an important part of the process.

Well as far as we know, her schedule is relatively open for now. Yeah, Dexter is in production right now and she'll no doubt have to be doing shooting before long, but I see her coming back to do more Voice Work if asked seeing as its only a few hours, even a couple days at most, then she signs more of an NDA and goes on her merry way. <3 The big question is whether BW thinks it's worth the price to bring her back. From a narrative standpoint, it's obvious she was never meant to be a main romance, just someone who happens to have a fling with the Main Character in her own arc, a temptress to take Shepard from his "true love" of Liara/Ashley.

I'm sure she was asked and hey, her Chuck co-stars might have encouraged her, theres a video of the dudes that plays chuck and morgan saying how Mass Effect was the game of the year.o Ventus wrote...
Why would she not care? IF she didn't care, then why bother taking the job in the first place?

I would love if she came back for the EC and other possible future DLC, but more and more I find it unlikely, I don't think she wants to return and I don't think BioWare (read Hudson and Walters) wants more Miranda.
And we all know how the EC will end up: most resources spent on Liara and the dextro team, some spent for the VS, more so Kaidan thanks to some of his most extreme fans, and on the EDI and Joker romance. The ME2 characters will be forgotten again.

I definitely see it. tbh, I see Yvonne's career going in the same direction as Tricia Helfer's. She'll do a few big films with secondary or main characters in smaller films, and she'll do a lot of TV work. I don't see her being super huge. Chuck wasn't really watched by a great deal of people, and Dexter is big, but so far as we know, she's only getting a small episode arc, which will get her face out there but she's not destined for huge stardom. It's a shame, because she has the talent and the personality for it, but I think Chuck is going to be her biggest role to her name when all is said and done. She's an outsider to Hollywood and she has to face competition from many other actresses who have all the networking, insider access, and benefit of having been born into the system, and their names are going to be a lot more bankable (For every guy that's heard of Yvonne, 20 have heard of Scarlett Johansson.)

She displays a certain interest, or she wouldn't have bothered doing ME3. She could have just pulled a Beattie, but she didn't. Some of the ME2 cast interviews I've seen with her she seemed pretty enthused in, if nothing else. Yvonne is pretty quiet about a lot of the things she's working on (See: almost everything that isn't Dexter right now), it isn't just an issue with her and ME.

Perhaps. She just seems so meh about it. Ive seen multiple tweets about everything she's doing except for Mass Effect. She may have cared when she did ME2 because it was her first video game and she was a major character.o Ventus wrote...

But come ME3 she was busy with Chuck ending and the devs probably straight up told "your not really a main character".

Well, I think she has done an excellent job as Miranda, and that implies investment in the role. She definitely didn't mail any of this stuff in.
People are just disappointed in how Miranda's role in ME3 turned out, and therefore anxious/worried about everything.

I think she was "supposed" to be romanced. She's forced on you in 3 nearly as badly as Liara and the only reason Liara is grating more is more screentime. Note the only time you hear the ME2 love theme is at the end of her mission. The problem comes in is that they had this awesome tearjerker of a final scene if she dies with face stroking (never mind whether you romanced her) and the good kind of melodrama. And they had no clue what to do if she lived. It's like they wamted to kill her (like Thane) but were afraid to ****** us off.
That's BW's way of resolving that love triangle. You pick one (obviously, BW pushes you towards the blue pet) and the rejected lover dies the heroines death. Or if you DO romance Miranda, her romance is supposed to be a tragic one, with her dying. Of course, I reject both of those scenario's completely. My Shepard WILL have a bright future with Miranda to look forward to, end of the game and RGB aside. <3

I also always got the impression Strahovski didn't appreciate the character. Since ME2 she hardly said anything about it, whereas Tricia Helfer, who's as much of a professional actress as Yvonne, constantly talked about the game. Since ME3 launched only saw one tweet from Yvonne asking what did people think of the game and nothing else.
She didn't say much about that PSP game where she voiced the protagonist either.

I don't know, but despite the great job she did, her lack of enthusiasm for her role as Miranda might be a deal breaker and a reminder that she doesn't really seem interested in video games. No that I'll ever be in that position, but I would hire people actually passionate about video games.

I used to think that would be fine but when I listened to that Marauder Shields comic with a different VA for Miranda (I know she wasnt a professional) it was still cool and all but it really was not the same. Yvonne is a necessary part of Miranda to me.Skullheart wrote...
btw, am I the only one who wants someone else voicing Miranda for future content (if yvonne won't voice her ever again)?
