I'm probably the most cynical and pessimistic person on the internet, and I have more faith than some people here.

She displays a certain interest, or she wouldn't have bothered doing ME3. She could have just pulled a Beattie, but she didn't. Some of the ME2 cast interviews I've seen with her she seemed pretty enthused in, if nothing else. Yvonne is pretty quiet about a lot of the things she's working on (See: almost everything that isn't Dexter right now), it isn't just an issue with her and ME.

Perhaps. She just seems so meh about it. Ive seen multiple tweets about everything she's doing except for Mass Effect. She may have cared when she did ME2 because it was her first video game and she was a major character.

But come ME3 she was busy with Chuck ending and the devs probably straight up told "your not really a main character".

Well back into the beginning of May (and even earlier), the only tweets from her I see are a few scant movie premiere adverts and Chuck promos.

I won't lie about Yvonne here, she isn't the best at Twitter.

I also always got the impression Strahovski didn't appreciate the character. Since ME2 she hardly said anything about it, whereas Tricia Helfer, who's as much of a professional actress as Yvonne, constantly talked about the game. Since ME3 launched only saw one tweet from Yvonne asking what did people think of the game and nothing else.

She didn't say much about that PSP game where she voiced the protagonist either.

That proves her feelings about video games related work. I had no idea that she even starred in another game. But everyone who follows her on twitter knows about Chuck, I Frankstein and her other projects.

I'm not sure I'd take her silence about T3B as anything. That game was heavily underadvertised (At least, here in America) by almost everyone. Hell, I wasn't even seeing ads for it in GameInformer, IGN, or Gamespot until after the game was out for at least a few months. A lot of Japanese games are like that, unless they're based off a high-profile manga or anime.

btw, am I the only one who wants someone else voicing Miranda for future content (if yvonne won't voice her ever again)?

I know it's impossible more Miranda content with Walters and Hudson in charge, but I can dream..

I used to think that would be fine but when I listened to that Marauder Shields comic with a different VA for Miranda (I know she wasnt a professional) it was still cool and all but it really was not the same. Yvonne is a necessary part of Miranda to me.

You can't have Miranda without Yvonne. I just can't see it, nor do I really want to. On another note, I just realized that Yvonne/Mirand/Sarah Walker has completely killed my interest in women. I realized I haven't had more than a passing interest in other girls because they don't fit my criterion for a woman. :pinched:

Did anyone see that one Mass Effect related interview she did where the interviewer was really wierd and creepy. That probably made her embarassed to have played Miranda. I mean all that guy talked about was how hot she was and how everyone had sex with her character.
Just a thoughtImage IPB

Well, those are higher profile things (a movie and *her* show). It's not like she's obligated to talk about her work. Obviously, she delivers a quality performance.

If she can't resurrect the dead, crush a mech with her mind, or shoot its head off at 100 yards, she isn't worth it.

It's also probably why I'm still single.

Yeah Chris Hardwick is a creepy dude. Funny, but creepy. It's part of his shtick.

I Lol'd hard. This describes me entirely. To be realistic, I focus more on the Sarah Walker kind of girl (probably better considering I'm not going to find a woman that can do the first two actions for a LOOOONG time.) I'm the weird cross between Chuck and Commander Shepard (I'm in the Army and can do some of the Shepard stuff, but I'm a total nerd and pop culture geek who's a pro at computers, and I'm an Analyst.)

I think she was "supposed" to be romanced. She's forced on you in 3 nearly as badly as Liara and the only reason Liara is grating more is more screentime.

I agree with the rest of your post aside from this part. There is the slight sense. But she can't be forced on you like Liara was. Because Miranda can't be romanced unless you romance her in ME2. As for Liara, you can get into a romance just by being paragon with her. With Miranda, there's no way to romance her if you didn't do it in ME2. Therefore its impossible.

But some of her friendly dialogue can be misconstrued as unintentionally creepy to someone who doesn't like her. But then again, so can some of Shepard's returning dialogue.

Well, in Miranda's case, and perhaps to an extent elsewhere, it's partly that they are trying to make the romance work without using too many dialogue variants, I think. So, lots of the lines and animations are done with the romance in mind, then they eliminate only what really doesn't make sense at all outside of the romance.

So, the friendship path comes across as... flirty.

This always cracks me up (by clc1997 on deviantart):

Oh, yes, Miranda's friendship path is very flirty. Which is everything from hysterically funny and appropriate to annoying depending on the Shep. Mostly funny.
