That's true in the abstract, but I think people can be forgiven for a little cynicism on the subject due to how ME3 was implemented overall.

They can't make Kaidan appear alongside Ashley because it can't happen, that's all. We all know he will have as much content as the others.
And yes I know what a promotion is. And MY interpretation of the promotion is that they have focused on the ME3 characters once again at the expense of the ME2 characters.

The ME2 characters weren't in the game. Miranda was not a squadmate. Neither was Jack.

That's why they aren't there.

As I've stated before, I just want Miranda THERE. I don't even need dialogue at this point. I don't care anymore.

I do not have high expectations for the EC anymore. Not that we now know Admiral Hackett ordered Joker and the Normandy to run and they're still stranded.

I forgot to mention this ages ago, and now is a good time to bring it up, but Miranda's final conversation is almost prophetic. Perhaps quite deliberately.

"If we both come back from this at all. Everything...will be different."

Too right it will be. Though I guess you can't expect to go against the Reapers and not seriously alter things. The line almost feels like it was designed to temper attitudes towards the endings.
