Fans: The ending was an atrocity and you won't even admit that Bioware screwed up!

Jessica: That wasn't Bioware, not really. But clearly your recent vulgar tweets were a mistake.

Once we realized the fans of the series were sentient, we stopped experimenting on them.

"I realize you can't say spoilers but I gotta ask - do my ME2 squad mates get any love?"

"Yes."

Again, this is the same Merizan that said Miranda was amazing in ME3, not exactly what I would call a trustworth source. Maybe they'll make an appearance, but on epilogues. The VS, Liara, EDI, dextro team, dumb Vega... all of thoses will have extra dialogues. ME2 characters, particularly Miranda? Will have a sad epilogue. I wouldn't be surprised if Jack and Jacob have extra lines while Miranda just has some lame epilogue.

Basically, what I'm saying is:

Life ain't easy when you're the spokeswoman for an evil, hated (misunderstood?) organisation Posted Image

You cannot back down. You cannot show weakness. Of all fans, we should understand that Posted Image

I can't really get on her case about that for one very specific reason:

Whenever I think about her saying that, I want to say "She is just a Bioware Cheerleader!"

And then I realize I would sound like Jack in ME2 when she talks about Miranda.

I can just picture dialogues like this with Jessica:

-It was incredibly cruel and petty to have Jacob dump the few people that romanced him. Also it is an obvious racist stereotype.

-Clearly a mistake. Not mine. The writer was immediately spoken to very harshly by Casey Hudson.

Aryss (one who gave Bioware the PAX LI book) asked Weekes about the romances in ME3...for Jacob the response was:

"The disappointment of his plot development was mainly a result of a writer's intent being lost in translation. The way that this particular LI turned out was never meant to be offensive.  Please know, that this controversial development was never the writers intention."

So I just posted something on the Priestly topic about EMS, which of course he didn't say anything useful, just the typical play the MP crap again, and I'm pretty sure he'll ban me since we're not allowed to speak the truth in this forum. I just had to post that we've been lied to anyway.

Well, we had a good run right?

Games were fun while they lasted.

And posting on here's been fun too.

Yeah, I remember that. I just mean that, one way to look at Miranda's character is that she is like a PR person/spokeswoman with a really difficult job because of what other people who work for her organisation have done.

apparently, they are preparing for damage control from the EC. ME2 will get only text. the rest lots of scenes and dialogues.

We'll still get the crappy holovid good bye.

Hahaha LMAO listening to the EC podcast, when Hudson says that feedback from the fans means a lot to them and that their fan community has been extremely important to them. This coming from the guy who decided to go radio silence since he received some bad criticism about the game.

Man, I really hope they fix it so Miranda says "I just...wish I were there. With you."

The subjunctive, Miranda. Remember the subjunctive. Tsk!

Hudson: The fan community is important for us, that's why I've been on vacation since the release, avoiding every fan since I screwed ME3. And it's just a coincidence that I was staying in a hidden bunker all the time.

Looking at the image where you can see only the ME3 crew looking at the Memorial Wall, I'd say this is a quite plausible guess.

Not holding breath for the ME 2 squad. So there cannot be lows afterwards. There is always DLC after EC. That is if the EC doesnt fix things.

I think all that means is that the writer did not set out to make it a racist stereotype. (Which of course isn't really surprising, though ultimately irrelevant.)

Think of it this way: the EC isn't about Miranda. It's about having a nice universe for Miranda to live in. As long as she's alive, in a civilized area, and doing something productive, I'm content.

Hum, I remember from my English classes that if the situation was hypothetical, like Miranda's sentence, even if first person, "were" is the correct form. But I'm not gonna argue with people who actually live in the States.

Edit: So the whole "was", "were" debate got me thinking and I found this link: www.englishforums.com/English/IWishIWasWereThere/bzvrw/post.htm. There was divergence, but at least someone posted this:

"The correct form is,
- I wish I were there.

You use this form to show an "unreal" situation, i.e. the thing you are wishing for is not the way things really are.

You may sometimes hear "was" used, since the subjunctive is relatively uncommon in English and people sometimes forget to use it, but "were" is definitely the correct verb."

Don't know if what that person wrote is correct, but I'd like not to think of myself as a completely stupid all the times that used "I wish I were".

"were" is technically correct, I believe, as hot_heart points out, but, in colloquial English, or at least colloquial american English, it is one of those "correct" things that has started to sound funny (situationally).

No, you are correct. It was the point I was making. In the game, she says 'was' instead of 'were'.
And it's a minor thing anyway. It doesn't really bother me.

And, yeah, it can sound weird in certain instances. Same with trying to avoid ending sentences with prepositions. Imagine the chaos that would ensue were you to write 'loma' instead of 'lmao'!

p.s. it's hypothetical.

Oh, and I meant to include this to counteract the snobby-sounding stuff.

Ending sentences with prepositions is something up with which I will not put.
