You might want to fix your typo up there dtrain. You said Miranda was trying to get Shepard to sleep with him.

And dtrain was the person telling us all to avoid the "Miranda is a Man!" thread.

For shame...

Really, does this look like a man?-

That thread was created by someone I've had quite a few tustles with.

He told me he chose Synthesis because he wanted to make all people the same. You can imagine how I felt about that.

He's a bit like memorysquid, if you catch my drift o Ventus.

Doctor, while you're here, can you please do a drunk Miranda and sober Shepard dialogue? Please?

Shepard: You're drunk.

Miranda: (mumbling) Impossible, I've been conditioned to be resistant to most forms of intoxication.

Shepard:  I don't think us going through two bottles of Thessia Red falls under most forms of intoxication.

Miranda: Then why are you so bloody coherent?

Shepard: You upgraded my circulatory system, remember?

Miranda: I do damn good work.

Shepard: Yes you do, come on let's get you to bed.

Miranda: (notices Shepard's expression) What?

Shepard: Never thought I'd ever see you drunk.

Miranda: I'm not drunk!

Shepard: Of course you're not.

Miranda: Stop smiling dammit!

Son of a ****. I fixed it.

Why is she wearing boots?

They don't do that on shoots. Believe me. They want the least amount of clothes, with the most amount of skin that the woman is comfortable showing.

But I won't complain about the photo. At all.

Hey, I have a question about the Mirimance. I'm usually an Ashmancer (obv per my pic), but the only other character I romance is Miri (and it's only one or the other, because I am not breaking up with Miri if I romance her(hardest scene to watch in ME3. I'd rather shoot Mordin in the back while pushing Tali off the cliff than break up with Miri)). So anyways...

I've seen complaints about how Miri deserved more than a fade to black. I guess I get that, since ME is famous for it's Top Gun style love scenes, but in my opinion, Miri's romance and arc are pretty awesome with only 2 glaring omissions:
1. She should have been a potential squad member. It makes all kinds of sense that she come on the Normandy (safest place to hide from cerberus assasins, and clearly the aliance doesn't mind ex-cerberus since one of the missions is saving ex-cerberus scientists). She was the most important ME2 squad-mate, and it was the higer selling of the two games, so she should have been more present.
2. If Shepard survives, he obviously needs to find her. This obviously falls under the more universal "shepard should have a reunion with his LI if (s)he survives", but even more. The "find me" thing with Miranda was as touching as any of the last convos (I put it right up there with Ash telling Shepard she didn't want him to go).

So anyways, I'm a bit drunk and I may have lost my point, but aren't my two points the only real problem? Like, if the ec fixed point 2, and a future DLC fixed point one, wouldn't you say that Miri's romance was as good as anyone's?

Strange about the bellybutton though. She wouldn't , or shouldn't have one. Unless her father designed one.

Of course she has one. Her genome was designed, but she had to grow like any one human, either in a surrogate mother or in an artificial uterus.

Yeah, me too. But I don't think we'll get that. I did suggest to include a hint that Shepart might come back in some mysterious way after Synthesis, but no, I think this must be relegated to headcanon.

Apparently, The EC will only be 10 minutes long. Oh well, they kept everything we hate about the ending and the podcast shows that Hudson and Walters are UTTERLY OBLIVIOUS to everything that is wrong with the ending. Headcanoned Ending: Crucible is a trap, Shepard and fleets overcome trap, destroy Citadel which I space magic'd (two can play at this game BioWare) into being the control hub of the Reapers, Citadel is destroyed, War assets actually mean something, final confrontation with Harby, Relays are kept, Reapers have no explanation, Reapers outside Sol system survive and flee galaxy swearing vengeance upon return, and Shepard reunites with Miranda and leaves in the Normandy to protect the galaxy and continue his journey forever.

There's a nice little verbal jab in the podcast at the members of the HTL movement, of which I am a member, saying that if we don't like the EC and complain about it, we as fans are no longer welcome by Bioware, and that they don't need us.

That seriously hurts. I am seriously offended by that statement.

They seriously said that? Sounds like they already know that the EC is going to be a failure and that BW has "gotten too big for their own britches."

I didn't hear any such thing. They just said they weren't going to please everyone. Which is rather obvious.

@krukow:
No, I don't think those were the biggest problems. Of course Miranda should have been on-screen more, and Miranda on the team would have been very nice, but in terms of screen time, she got more than the other ME2 team members. The main problem is the *quality* of that screen time, particularly that her Cerberus connection was never explored, she wasn't present on Cronos Station and altogether mutilated as a character with her exclusive focus on Oriana. Also, the good moments she has, or is implied to have, are all off-screen. Seeing her hold her own against Kai Leng would've gone a long way to mitigate the disappointment.

The romance scene is very short but ok. Some people here like it more than the engine room scene in ME2. And "find me" is strictly epilogue material.

Well, she clearly should have ruined Kai Leng.  That was just dumb.  She's Miranda F'n Lawson.  There's a reason I take her on every mission in ME2, and it's not just dat ass.

Edit: In fact, that would have been an awesome end to her arc.  Singlel-handidly taking out Kai Leng, just to TIM would know who was better.

Beside, ME3 wasn't about shepard having boss battles :)

Well, what she did was outwit him. So... that's pretty cool. Basically, instead of trying to beat him, she is implied to allow herself to be attacked, so that she can plant the tracer. He leaves thinking he's won, but he's lost.

That's better than beating him outright, because he matters less than Cronos station.

Conceptually, it's good. Implementation is not good.

Yeah, I had issues with Miranda's Romance.

I like how she wanted to do things for her own. She's independent and realizes that Shep has cures to find (Nope! Totally not for the Assassin though! -_-') and peace to make, even if Shep already has five million less important tasks. Her independence and strong character is what attracted me to her.

But, at the same time, She needed to be there more simply because she is still an LI.

And, her romance scene, I liked it, because I thought their little banter was cute, but I would have liked taking her and Orianna onto the ship after saving them and having a more traditional Mass Effect romance scene on the way to Earth like the regular squadmate romances, maybe even one to rival Liara and her...romance scene.

It also would have been nice to actually talk to Ori for once, since she is Miri's sister.

They did say it rather obliquely. Idk thats the impression I got, and a lot of other people over on FB and HTL felt the same. I don't know about the rest of BioWare, but that podcast just proved that ever since the March 10-11th period (when most of the people started to beat the game) both Hudson and Walters built a spaceship time machine with a hyperdrive, kidnapped Miranda, and flew to another galaxy 100,000 years in the past, and proceeded to beat her to a bloody pulp with a giant squid tentacle, after which they hid in a closet with a baseball bat, knowing that we'd still find them eventually. I got to say, the level of denial that those two have over what's really wrong with the game reminds me of the former members of a certain political group dedicated to national socialism that took to power in Germany in the early-mid 20th century, and were responsible for the bloodiest human cataclysm in recorded history.

Yeah, that wasn't in the podcast but something Merizan said over @ HTL forums...it was taken out of context.  It was said against those people (from HTL) who were thinking of going to San Diego Comic con and throw pies at the Bioware folks there...that's who it was directed at.

Agreed.

But she still should have been a squadmate, if for nothing more than a proper Cerberus arc.
