Simple: Shep loves Miri unconditionally. So her infertility isn't a problem. Although technically he isn't supposed to know about it considering he found out via the Shadow Broker :/

And not all couples have to have kids. I don't see my Shep ever having a family beyond Miri. They may not even get married, actually. I hadn't decided on that part yet.

I don't get why this constant need society has of having a kid on every relationship, honestly.

this. sadly it seems a constant of the romance threads. by now we should have transcended such quaint associations.

Thankfully it is unlikely the EC will change the endings enough to make that a horrible possibility.

I certainly hope so. I wouldn't mind the option being present for the sake of those who want it, but if there's to be one epilogue for romanced Miranda (I don't see them making more) it should be left to the players' imagination. Perhaps they listened to Miranda's fans and found that this topic was rarely brought up.

As for that dialogue with Anderson, I'm quite glad that was cut.  It was autodialogue and would have resulted in all of my Shepards but one being OOC. Not that they appear to care about that all that much these days...  I hate family stuff being put into everything. Shepard's speech was bad enough.

The Prometheus symbolism points to human enhancement technologies and similar stuff, applications that in earlier times were thought to be in the domain of the gods. Things we "weren't meant to know". That's why I like the name. It specifically denies any llmits of what should or should not be known. That's what Miranda did when she brought Shepard back, and that's the kind of stuff I want her to go on doing.

But Prometheus himself was a Titan, above the humans just as the gods were. It was his pity that gave humans fire, not their own achievements. I suppose you could be charitable and only look at the event of humans gaining fire (using something only the gods had). But in the end, they were given the fire, they did not reach up and seize it.

Yes, but invoking the name invites humans to follow his footsteps.

Interesting how "using the tools of the gods" is an admired concept around here yet people still want the relays to burn...

To clarify my position about the relays: I
think there should be one ending where they're gone, and one ending
where they aren't. I've said more about that in the Control support
thread.

My opinion of Miri's infertility is simple - If she can bring a man back from the dead, what's stopping her from creating a cure or treatment from her condition? My Shepard is not necessarily the settle down type, nor is Miranda. I kinda base their relationship around the mid to late 3rd season and early 4th season of Chuck in regards to the dynamic of Shep and Miri compared to Sarah and Chuck. They're both torn at whether they want to continue their adventures or be together, when they realize they can have both. And my Shepard loves Miri unconditionally. Her infertility doesn't matter to him one iota. But they will eventually conceive a child together, a girl, in the future through natural means after Miri has cured her condition. I think Miri would be a great mother.

Thing is, Its not exactly a 'condition'. I'm completely under the impression that her father wrote Reproduction out of her genetics or something to that extent. It certainly seems to be what the Shadow Broker's Files implied. I believe that Miri and Shep will create a kid together but by mixing their genetics very much like her father did, but doing it the right way this time. She could be very torn up about having too much control over who her child will be (A big thing as Miri is always in control of a situation and slightly breaks if she isn't, like in her Loyalty Quest) but Shepard will be there for her to lean on for strength to let things play out as nessecary.

I of course don't want to see that in the EC. Keeping that in my head canon is fine.

The LotSB files describes the direct cause: a "benign neoplasm". Which may or may not be tied to a genetic disposition. If you take that at face value, curing it should be child's play. On the other hand, I find your headcanon scenario much more interesting, but that, too, should remain in the players' imagination.

If done right, that conversation could work like the last conversations with the companions in DAO's throne room and affect the epilogue. If Shepard shows no interest in parenthood, there is no mention of it. Simple.

I recall DAO-style last talks were one of the most wished-for elements of the ending. It would be easy to put sich talk about the future into the FOB dialogues, but I don't expect they'll change them for the EC.

So, from what I understand, there are no new scenes on Cronos.
Not the most auspicious of starts.

Which, of course, means Miranda will not be present in London.
Which then leads to the question: If they did recall Miss Strahovsky to record lines for the EC, why not redo her scene so she speaks with Shepard in person?
This leads me to believe Miranda will not have any new lines in the EC.

Well, I wish they'd just let us be disapointed already.
I hate waiting.

I think it's an original animation.

It's also in color. And thane, Mordin, and Legion appeared, in addition to Miranda.

I don't expect anything anything else. But at least the flashback was fixed it seems. Hmph. Still at work...is the PC version of the EC available yet?

No. Probably around 10 pm your time.

But the relays are only damaged and apparently Hackett is optimistic about fixing them.

Not really.
SPOILER

She's present in the flashback and in a slide where she looks at the sky. The other LI will have an additional scene , not with Shepard, but they'll be the one to put Shepard's name in the SR-2 memorial wall. If you have a LI outside the normandy, it'll be probably Garrus (at least it was in my playthrough).
