Shepard is Revan. Revan imagined it all as a weird interpretation of his lost memories. Miranda is Bastila, Kaidan is Carth, Harbinger and the Reapers are the Star Forge, Javik is a Rakata...
Meanwhile all of that is just an elaborate story being told by Varric.
In Joker's mind.
But his memories and thoughts are all elaborate stories created by the Reapers with indoctrination.

At least I have my own headcanon that the EC kinda fits into. Still, seems like BEAWare made the EC to cater to the 5 percent of fans who liked the endings but just wanted "more closure." Never mind the other 90 percent of players who utterly despised the last act of the game.

I really want to know what they're trying to get across in Miranda's destroy slide.
Well, she's on earth, looking to the stars. So, I guess the idea is that she wants to go back out there, into space.
I like the three epilogues, really, as to what they are suggesting.
One seems to be about exporing (maybe), the second about scientific research, and the third about rebuilding.
Granted, the destroy one is the most ambiguous. She could just be... pondering recent events, I guess.

Maybe. I wish they had actually said what happened to each of your friends, but that might have taken a lot of space.flemm wrote...

My head will always be the best tool for things, and that's what Bioware intended.
The editing of the scenes clearly suggests Shepard is alive, as is Miranda.
The Relays will be rebuilt and life will go on.
And Shepard and Miranda can reunite in my head canon, which is never wrong, as stated by Bioware.
WITHOUT THE INTERFERENCE OF MAC ****ING WALTERS.

Don't take this the wrong way, but headcanon - for me - is a poor excuse for bad writing and execution. I don't pay money to a company just so that I'll have to figure out an ending by myself, I'm not a writer. I paid so they would tell me a story and that includes the ending, they failed to do so, at least in regards to Miranda.fiendishchicken wrote...

It's the exact same thing that bothered me with the ending of Chuck, but trying to be artsy fartsy seems to be hip right now, screw the costumers who give a damn...
But if you feel ok with it, I'm happy for you.

You could have "headcanonend" this before the EC as well, so as I understand, the EC made you happy because they didn't screw things up for your canon?

They actually made it better. I had envisioned a rather nasty vision for Destroy because of the destruction of the Relays. Not so much. They can be rebuilt.
And everything else is in place.
Everything went BETTER than expected.

Thoughts? yes.
Nothing that I have been able to formulate as words for the moment, though
Seriously, I thought it was pretty cool. Just nothing to add for the moment.
Right now I am too caught up in swinging back and forth between laughter about the whole endings nonsense and our regularly scheduled bitterness.

I wasn't defending the endings. I was being sarcastic. I agree one hundred percent with everything being bad and the EC adding nothing of value. As I stated I'm in the 90% of fans who were utterly ignored, same as with Miranda, minus a token still, nothing worthwhile. But Headcanon is all I really have right now. As for the ending of Chuck, I foresee either a tv movie or a renewal by another network someday (fingers crossed), but as it stands, I like how they do a reverse of the roles in the end vs the beginning, and how it is implied that Sarah gets her memory back. I honestly prefer that she does, but incrementally while falling in love with Chuck again. I'm a bloody romantic sap.

My apologies, I didn't catch that.
As for a Chuck pickup - impossible
Movie? in a few years maybe if the DVDs sell good enough, which I doubt.

So far, things the EC didn't explain: how did Shepard go from being in space, without a breather I may add, to the London ruins? How did his last two squads survive the beam and how did they teleport themselves to the Normandy just in time to make a retreat? And how is it possible for a baby krogan to be that cute?
