quick question... what exactly are the 3 slides miranda gets? iv only seen the one where shes looking up at the stars

Destroy is the one you saw. Control has her an Oriana looking at Reaper schematics on a big computer monitor. Synthesis has her looking at some sort of holographic map with Alliance soldiers.

EDIT: In the background of synthesis slide you can see the reapers rebuilding. I infered that Miranda was coordinating some sort of rebuilding project with the Alliance.

lol understandable. I was going to hold off for a while, maybe even until tomorrow until things had settled a bit. But then jtav forced my hand

It's probably something we can get back around to at a quieter moment B)

So far, things the EC didn't explain: how did Shepard go from being in space, without a breather I may add, to the London ruins? How did his last two squads survive the beam and how did they teleport themselves to the Normandy just in time to make a retreat? And how is it possible for a baby krogan to be that cute?

They explained how the team got to the Normandy.

Did they? From the things I read so far I couldn't find anything about it. Argh, I'm so close to go to YouTube, must resist...

It's one of the first changes the EC makes. When you play (If you haven't) start before the run to the beam. Many people are starting after they reach the citadel.

Wait, there's an extra goodbye scene before you hit Earth, right? But not when you have an ME2 romance?

I'm very pleased. It's only stills but Miranda is active and doing tech-y things and not separated from Oriana. No reunion, but it's not hard to imagine one in the slightest. The imagery of Synthesis is some of the most sublime stuff I've ever seen. I've won a new dawn for her. So worth it.

Hmm, well, that was interesting. I'm still not entirely happy with the entire denouement (who is?) but I can see BioWare's 'vision' a little clearer and, frankly, it still leaves me a little too uncomfortable.

I mean, maybe it's just an odd interpretation, but now it seems like the choices get 'better' as they go. I know Synthesis was always painted as the best, but it makes me uneasy. Anyway, I picked Destroy because the Reapers need to be gone. I won't elaborate here because it'll probably be part of some off-topic discussion.

Anyway, so, yeah. Having seen videos, I was surprised by the character choices it showed in my ending. First three flashbacks, Anderson (yeah), Thane (huh?!) and Miranda (hell yeah!). Then when Joker was being commanded to leave, it was Javik and Sam looking over his shoulder. Then Joker, Javik and Garrus exited the crashed Normandy. And then it was Sam who decided not to place Shepard's plaque on the memorial wall.

Just to clarify, I have kinda 'got over' the endings with time, even if the whole Earth section completely sucks. I like that there is still choice (I was never of the 'they're all the same' mindset) and that it's been fleshed out a bit. I can't say it's bad, just that the presentation of it all could've been a lot better.

I wasn't expecting much from the EC so I'm somewhat pleased with it, some effort was made. With this I think they've made the endings relatively decent instead of completely inadmissible.
A reunion scene would have been very pleasant but it's not hard to imagine one as jtav said. The epilogue slides for Miranda are satisfying.

Sadly I still feel cheated, both via the lore's plot holes, and lack of Miranda. Are you guys still doing the laser silhouette of Miranda on the Moon?

Was there ever any doubt? Image IPB

My biggest disappointment is that they didn't recognize the Miranda moon-etching project in the EC. I think it's the least they could have done.

Just wanted to get a little info - is there anything added when loading a game from Cronos station, or it is done only to get a new EMS count lowered? Still no "Cabin scene" for Miranda or Jack, like every other LI get, even dead Tali?

I've been lurking...for quite some time, I choose the high EMS Destroy option and the ending seems straight forward to me.

Between the last things she says to Shep (find me), her looking up into the sky, the military team not quite prepared to put his name of the honour role and his breath scene at the end, then they will finally be together.

He was clinically dead last time she put him back together...at least now he can draw breathe.

What I'm actually now hoping for, is some DLC with the two of them doing stuff  together.

The EC doesn't really change my feeling about Miranda in ME3. The slide and the flashback fixed are nice but it's not enough to make me forget everything else.
And this DLC is also the confirmation that they want to make a real effort only for characters like Liara, Tali or Garrus ...
so I doubt we'll ever see a ME2 characters DLC one day

Well, no, but it was never going to do that (for me either). It doesn't drastically change anybody's role. What's there is positive. So, that's... positive, I guess, lol?

Agreed. ME3 will still remain a huge disappointement in that regard. But yeah at least she isn't dead.

And she's doing stuff. The Alliance is paying attention to her. She has Ori. All the world is before her. If you picked Destroy, a reunion is the simplest thing in the world to imagine. I'm happy.

And I was wrong. They did balance the professional and the personal. She's with Ori, but she's working with Ori as they decipher schematics. No white picket fence, but she has her family and an intellectual challenge. Yay!

I like the epilogue slides a lot. No complaints there. They suggest enough to be intriguing, but not so much that they prevent you from imagining all kinds of different scenarios.
