The EC doesn't really change my feeling about Miranda in ME3.

Well, no, but it was never going to do that (for me either). It doesn't drastically change anybody's role. What's there is positive. So, that's... positive, I guess, lol?

................. guys

at least she's not dead.....

She's not, but she's still so .. absent.

i know, right? but a little something is better than nothing

They didn't ruin anything ie Miranda/children/being 'normal'/etc, and I think it was a smart move to leave reunions open since people have had 3 months to headcanon such things. I agree with what jtav said about Miri's epilogue. They let her be brilliant while letting her have Ori. Perfect.

Overall, I'm satisfied with what we were given. I had really low expectations, and they didn't blow me away, but I must say I'm fine with what we got.

And I forgot to mention, it's so pleasant to see Miranda in the third flashback sequence. Strangely in the second one I got EDI.

The flashback is a really nice animation, in passing.

They seem to vary more than before. I'm not sure according to what criteria. These flashbacks can also pop up in the "sacrifices made" portion of the cinematic (if the characters died along the way).

I agree, though after I saw that and the scene prior to the beam, I knew I'd be satisfied no matter what.

I'm satisfied, though my satisfaction is influenced by the fact that I wasn't expecting anything big for Miranda (or the EC in general). I like the slides, and I think they fit well with the type of ending in which they are present.
The part of the EC that I like most was the SPOILER

AI-Shepard speech in Control, both Paragon and Renegade. Considering the fact that I'm not that willing to sacrifice an entire race to destroy the Reapers, and that I prefer to not change the nature of organics and synthetics without their consents (though from the epilogue they seem fine with it) Control will probably be my "canon" ending.

I'm not sure if there's even a criteria. SPOILER

In the same playthrough, in Destroy I had Anderson, EDI and Miranda, with Thane, Mordin and Legion as the "sacrifices". In Control I got Anderson, Thane and Miranda, with only Legion and Mordin in the "sacrifices".
The only reason for changing in the same playthrough is that in Destroy you'll lose EDI. Though I don't understand why Thane should be present in the flashback. I think Garrus would fit better, with Thane in the sacrifices part.

Probably, though it's probably Shepard's recall of the time they spent together in the SR-2 in ME2, with Miranda in the ME3 version.

I guess there probably is a logic to it, but it may take a little time to sort it out. Possibly EDI gets prioritized in destroy, as you say, because she will not survive. Miranda can also appear in the "sacrifices made" section, along with Mordin, Legion and Thane (at least).

Overall, having digested the cinematics a bit, I think the ending is basically fixed. Which isn't to say it is suddenly the bestest ending of all time or beyond reproach. But it is much more coherent now.

Now that the debacle of the endings are for all intents and purposes "fixed". The BSN can now focus it's attention to campaigning for a dlc for ME2 characters :D

I'm just going to leave this here, among Miri fans, as any thread creation would see me torn to shreds... but I am so, so, so very much disappointed by the ending of ME3 of course, but also the EC. I am frankly disgusted. Disgusted by Bioware, disgusted by the endings, disgusted by the way they've handled the fanbase, disgusted with it all. With the EC, the fans of ME2 romances get another middle finger from Bioware. I was really hoping for even a hint of a reunion with Miranda for my Shepard. But nope, she just stares at the sky with no acknowledgement of any romance whatsoever... Between this, the illogical catalyst crap, the arrogance of the company, the ultimate middle-finger rejection ending... I am burned out. I have enough. So goodbye to all.

Yeah, I forgot about Miranda. It's sad that Jack didn't appear in the sacrifices part (there was space in my Control ending)

About the ending being coherent, are you talking about all the endings, or a ending in particular?

Well, I meant, as a group of endings, they make sense now. In terms of the distinctions between them, what is supposed to happen (roughly) in each one, etc. And some of the incoherent bits have been removed (retconned, really). Also some of the more... extreme?... interpretations, I guess you'd say, are no longer possible.

Yeah, I agree. There are still things I don't like, but the endings are different from each others, and I think all of them could be considered bittersweet.

So that was awesome, got to see the flashback fixed, guess we don't need to work on it anymore eh Yann?

Everything else was nice IMO, really enjoyed talking to the Catalyst this time
Would have been nice to get some dialog from Miranda but seems Hackett did all the end stuff ><

I just finished Destroy... well, it was nothing extraordinary awesome, but it was good. It really fixed the ending. I liked that it suggests a rebuild, but doesn't really force it.

Positively surprised they managed to fit Miranda in there... I saw her image as someone waiting of Shepard to come back as she is in some kind of preying position.
I would have expected a reunite, but it's really fine the way it is.
