I'm not exagerating. Listen to the Renegade Version of the Control Speech.Ieldra2 wrote...
even by the galactic Emperor.
ReaperShepard talks about a powerful leader, not reviled for having power that must never be questioned.
The idea of Miranda plotting to overthrow the Reapers in Control sounds more and more appealing.
Only the Paragon mentions being a Guardian.

Nice to see a lot of Miranda fans coming out of the woodwork! This, I like.
I was actually drawn towards the Control ending (as mostly Paragon) but I couldn't help my thoughts drifting to Dr. Manhattan. And the fact that, despite all this combined knowledge, the 'cycle' was the best solution thought up? What would Shepard bring to the table: diplomacy?
Not saying that's how everyone should interpret it. That's just me ruining it for myself.
Agreed, it's always nice to see new faces.
I think Shepard would bring diplomacy yes but he also brought hope and freedom. He's become a "bloody icon", a legend, people all over the galaxy will listen to him. That's just my interpretation though.

I agree, in RenControl the AI acts like a leader of the species, and about using power to stop threats.
But in ParaControl the situation is different. He acts more like a guardian. In ParaControl the AI wants to protect the organics, helping them rebuilding. In RenControl, the AI wants to protect organics by leading them.
I really like the fact that they make the Control ending a bit different, depending on the alignment. It' would've make no sense that Shepard's thoughts and memories would've influenced the new AI in the same way, regardless, of this views.

And that's what I love about the EC. There's hope and a bright future in all ends. ME has regained its human touch and it actually feels like I won.
And Miranda will be right there rebuilding. After all, I figure the non-romance Destroy slide happens regardless. She can't spend all her time looking at stars. As far as I'm concerned, we're witnessing the birth of humanity's STG. As for Control, I like the idea that she and Oriana are trying to overthrow Shepard. After all, wasn't that one reason she was drawn to Cerberus: to work outside what she saw as a hidebound power structure? I can't imagine she'll abide even a benevolent yoke for long.

Grrr...would it have been so impossible to write difference scenes for the ME2 LIs rather than simply denying it to them because they happened to not be in the same place as the ME1's?

Anywhere from 5 to 350 points, and earned you 3 colors at the end.
Oh and Bioware, the Extended Cut didn't change the fact that the endings still sucked, but...

Same here, and where the hell was the rachni queen? The volus fleets, the barbarian fleets, the mercenaries, jacks students and all the other assets we had! at least bioware should have showed there presence in the last fight on earth, imagine rachni queen vs a Reaper, lol epic.
However, after creating peace between the quarians and the geth, why isn't any geth trooper seen in one of the cinematic of the war in (London) the only one we see are the salarians, Asari and the Turians. I believe Not even quarians are seen fighting in London.

Somebody mentioned that slide yesterday. I'm not sure how you get that. I guess maybe if Miranda dies during ME3, but that's just a guess. Jacob is there, and Brynn, I guess.

So it is Ori? Yay for Miranda and Jacob being close being sorta acknowledged.
It certainly seems to be. Perhaps we can find the slide in the files. It's name might be enlightening. But I think it's them.

Oriana doesn't have a very distinct model so, it could just be some random civillian.
Otherwise...I have no clue why Oriana would be crying.

Yes, the tremendous loss of life would be enough to make an unexperienced person like Oriana tear up.flemm wrote...

It just feels...random? In any ending besides Control, regardless of Miranda's condition, Oriana is crying on Earth despite not being mentioned after Sanctuary

Yeah. It's probably just Jacob and Brynn comforting a survivor.
