Another possibility is that she wants to learn the Reapers' secrets. She's not a woman to be easily denied, even by the galactic guardian.

Miranda: You know you're rubbish at keeping promises.

Shepard: It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Miranda: In what way? You spent months raving about how the Illusive Man was insane to even think about controling the Reapers and at the last minute you just so happened to think it was a good idea?

Shepard: Yes?

Miranda: You know, for someone who's essentially omnipotent you're still as dense as always..

Looking at that now, it does seem really harsh.
Wasn't my intention!

Clearly a mistake. A line was crossed. Our ideals have been compromised. Time to shut it down Posted Image

From what I can glean, Yvonne takes acting very seriously and professionally (sticks to NDAs for Twitter and the like) and goes for interesting characters more than anything. I doubt she'd refuse to reprise a role unless she hated the people she was working with.

I agree.
And she's not very busy (just few Dexter episode to shoot), so no escuses.

Somebody needs to draw an Angry Birds version of Miranda and tweet it to Yvonne.

Uncharted 2 had them in mocap suits actually acting out scenes. Looks so funny.

yeah, and mocap costs are actually quite low today. I wish we could have had mocap made cut scenes for mass effect. I still think the characters movements are very robotic when comparing to other games. And don't tell me that's due to the Unreal Engine, i've seen better jobs using it!

Hah, this never even occured to me. Knew I could count on you for the "enlightement" approach.;)

Yeah, it's a passion, I admit. More so since it appears to be rare these days, even within the SF fandom.

BTW, this thread is exploding. Can't keep up atm, still playing.

BTW2, I like your approach to the Control ending. I don't have a Shepard with the required mindset, but I might end up making one.

She recorded Aya (and Eve, heh), a main character, while she was shooting Chuck season 4. It was 4, right Yann?
Game filled with cutscenes and in-game dialogs, so, I assume it would be as much work as recording all the dialog options for Miranda. Or maybe even more!

Shepard's jogging in ME3 is awful. So is his walking, but the jogging makes him look like there's a puppet rod up his ass.

And I think Miranda would hate living under even a benevolent overlord. I think she sees fighting that sort of thing as what Cerberus is for. So I approve of resistance leader Miranda.

Yes. I think Control is the ending Miranda would be least comfortable with. She might not immediately start plotting against God!Shepard, especially if she loved the man, but she'd keep her eyes open just in case.

Bioware voice acting would be easier than her physical acting. I remember seeing an episode of Pulse where the VA directors were discussing how the recording works. The VA's don't even need to be in the studio.

The Miranda control slide is really cool. It's my least favorite ending choice, but the slide makes me smile.

Control can lead to War, again. Synthesis can possibly lead to War for Ascension/Immortality. At least with Destroy, No one would be stupid enough to start a War after all that's happened.

TIM turned down the idea for a control chip, he didn't say anything about a Shale-style control rod though.

Well... human history suggests that there would likely be wars again.

People can be pretty stupid Posted Image

(And presumably humanoid aliens as well.)

Not after a war that would threaten the Galaxy. At a War like that, people would have learned from their past mistakes. And no reason to wink.

People are generally pretty receptive as well. For some reason, I doubt there would be any heavy conflict following a near extinction via cyborg Cthulhu-bots.
