It's sort of the classic moment where the persons eyes light up as they remember just as the person who has reminded them disappears. Then, of course, they get this watery-eyed look of will I ever see you again and the screen fades to black. Usually anyhow.

About Shepards synthetics. If they could repair the relays, citadel, the beam, and ships,, I think Miranda could repair the synthetics in Shepards body, he'd have to hobble around in the mean time. I also noticed that the catalyst said that the technology would be affected , in the EC, rather than implying that they are destroyed in vanilla. Affected does not always mean non functional or wiped out. Maybe his synthetics just were not at optimal capacity. If that is the case, Miri could repair him in no time..maybe even add a little more upgrades.

I actually, hoenstly, didn't notice all the ass shots till ME3, when they're being forced down your throat.

Almost like Bioware going "Sorry. I'm so sorry. We didn't do much with Miranda's Romance. Sorry. HERE! HAVE SOME ASS SHOTS TO MAKE UP FOR IT!"

By the way, Is there a spesific point that I'm allowed to post pictures at or anything around here? Some Forums have them, like having to make 10 or so posts before being able to post links or somthing.

I believe you have to be around two weeks in order to post photos.

Damn. It'll be awhile till I can post pictures of Custom!Bro!Shep and Miri. Oh well. I'll have finished my new playthrough by then and have more pictures than before.

Oh wow.  That's actually really interesting. Moreso than my scenario even.

I... kind of want to use this. Is that OK?

Go ahead.

I'm sort of working with the Catylyst's statement that while what Shepard will become will end the war, he'll lose his humanity as a result. Creating a replica of the man he was before that can find Miranda and keep his promise could be his last act before he's completely joined with the Reaper overmind:

Miranda: So, you're not Shepard.

Shepard: I look like him and I have his memories but no, I'm not the same man you brought back from the dead.

Miranda: But you said he created you.

Shepard: It's hard to explain. Your Shepard doesn't exist anymore the Crucible did something to him, changed him into something else. What he became knew that there wasn't any way that he was going to see you again so he created me to ensure that he kept his promise.

Miranda: (softly) He promised that he'd find me again. Bastard.

Shepard: I'm sorry Miranda.

Miranda: Why? You didn't do anything wrong.

Shepard: (sighs) I gave you false hope.

Miranda: You told me the truth.

Shepard: I couldn't live with myself otherwise.

Miranda: Well then, maybe you're more like him then you think.

Why did I read Shepards line's in Legions voice?

Shepard: You're still dating her, but there are other options. I can either destroy you or merge you with that wall over there.

Guy: I don't like either of those options.

Reaper-Shepard: SO BE IT.

Can anyone find a video of Sanctuary (Romance, and NO Death), where Shepard uses the Red Option?

I chose the intimidate option. Shepard says something along the lines of "If you don't let her go, I'll hunt you down and kill you myself, or you can let her go now and maybe you'll live".

EDIT: Don't quote me word for word, but thats the gist of it.

What would Miri say to EDI in ME3 if she were in the Squad. Would she feel uneasy by the fact that EDI is unshackled in such a way? Would she admire how far EDI has gone?

Miranda: Honestly Shepard, if me dating other men bothers you so much why did you choose to control the Reapers?

Reaper-Shepard: IT SEEMED LIKE A GOOD IDEA AT THE TIME.

Miranda: (sighs) Do you have to speak in your Reaper voice all the time?

Reaper-Shepard: IT IS THE ONLY JOY I HAVE LEFT IN MY LIFE.

I think she'd probably start by making a wry comment about how unshackled was one thing, but this is ridiculous.

I can only Imagine what Miri and Tali would have said to each other in the Geth Dreadnought Mission. Miri uses a Breathing Mask, so I can see why it would be Difficult to animate her in that Mission, especially when you escape.:o

Shepard: I think she likes you.

Miranda: It's disconcerting. She's mimicking me, wearing similar clothing, adoting my mannerisims.

Shepard: To be fair Legion did the same thing with me.

Miranda: Having 1,183 of your biggest fans onboard isn't a problem when there's an advanced cyberwarfare suite protecting the ship. When that cyberwarfare suite gets a body designed by adolescent boys and starts asking questions about relationships then there's a problem.

Shepard: No, when your helmsman starts asking if he should date the ship's AI then you have a problem.

Again we're talking about scale here. Organics are far beneath the level of this intelligence. There is no reason to notice them apart from human Shepard's thoughts. But the entity is self-modifying which means eventually that will fade. Indifference will result because again, they're far beneath its level.
The devs intended to define an epilogue for control so we get closure and we're not left hanging. "Guarding/ruling the galaxy" is the logical choice in the dev thought process. However indifference would be the logical step in the entity's process. What's uncertain is how long this will take.

Allow me to just return to this for a second.
I disagree. While it is entirely possible for a being of cosmic power to disregard organics as insignificants, I believe it also to be possible and just as logical for it to realize only sentience can give purpose and meaning to what is, otherwise, just an happy coincidence (the universe) that will fade eventually.

Ehh, it's getting late and my capacity for serious discussion is shrinking.

But to reply: what makes you think a higher intelligence would need to contemplate an even higher "purpose of the universe"?

Suppose we once again go back to Dr. Manhattan, specifically his deterministic outlook. Viewing time simultaneously, his own actions merely reactions of cause and effect. Does such a system need a purpose?

I think seeking purpose is as much a human concept as anything else we've been talking about. Why can't something just be? Why do atoms bond to form compounds, compounds to form proteins, proteins to form cells, cells to form organisms (my aplogies for the shoddy biology)? Is there a purpose? Or is it merely a mechanical system reacting mechanically? Atoms merely forming ionic bonds, proteins folding, cells dividing...

Can the writer get the opinion of the group? Would Miranda borrowing from a romantically involved Shepard's DNA to create a child decades after Synthesis or Control seem creepy to you?

Not at all. But I don't imagine this is a surprising stance.

BTW, after trying it with my Renegade, I noticed Synthesis cures the genophage regardless of Shepard's decisions.
In light of this, do you think Synthesis also cured Miranda's fertility?

Woa woa there. This is turning away from a discussion of the game to a dicussion of atheism vs. faith which is not an exchange that should be held here since it will lead to the topic being locked. And that would upset me very much since I like discussing Miri-related-...anything to be honest.

But as is, there is a perfectly acceptable scientific reason for the bonds that form between atoms, etc. It is simply the physics of the universe. Or, at least, our little corner of the universe considering it may be very different on the other side. Which is mind-boggling to even think about. That and the fact that time is not constant dependant on where you are in the universe.
