Anyone else get annoyed with that Matriarch Aethyta conversation in ME3? She's supposed to say "Human Commander" if Liara is not Romanced. Of Course, Miri is My LI, yet Aetyta says "Boyfriend." Is this a bug, or is BioWare that desperate to get players into being "Romantically Inclined" with Liara?

I can confirm that annoyance about this has previously been reported on several occasions

....it's like one of these days BioWare is going to end up being successful in making me into a Liaramancer, because of their constant nagging: Content, attention, etc. I don't want to be a sell out.


Is this what they are trying to do with players? Evoke temptation?

It's pretty hard to ninjamance in ME2, so it still works more like an RPG should (and in other respects as well). But I know what you mean, of course.

I feel like my head is going to explode. Miranda has always been my Love Interest. Why is BioWare constantly giving so much to Liara. I'm trying so hard not to give in. I don't want to abandon all that I have now. Why does BioWare continue to make it seem like players are wrong if a certain LI is not chosen.

Did you honestly just ask that? Liara is the default Romance. Liara is, in fact, Mrs. Bioware. Bioware can never get enough of Liara.

My advice is to appreciate whats there and well, enjoy what the fans have created  as well with her and any LI - for example, I appreciate Jack more because of certain fanfiction, they're usually able to go deeper into what we're already shown through in-game, so it's always refreshing to experience through another's creative vision.

I mean in ME3, Shep/Miranda act like lovers regardless of romance. Same with Shep/Liara.

One can make similar complaints about both (and of course people have and do), but there are differences.

It didn't notice the ass shots till ME3. In ME3, There was one every few seconds when Miri was in a scene. They were forced down your throat in ME3. Almost as though Bioware was trying to make up for the lack of content in her romance with sexy or something.

In ME2, There wasn't as many ass shots and pleanty of great shots with Miri in the foreground and Shepard behind her that didn't involve her ass. Her SEX SCENE in ME2 didn't have an ass shot (If I remember correctly.)

Anyway, Liara being the LI with the most focus in ME3 has never bothered me. I actually like that Miranda is more of an *alternative* romance now.

It needs a bit more content to really work, though.

Well, if you count them there are probably the same amount of unnecessary ass-shots in both.
Yes, the ME2 cuddling also involved an ass-shot right at the beginning.

The fact that Miri remains your one true love interest in all of Mass Effect despite bad content is proof of your deep and abiding affection for her.

Miri would be proud.

If you complain too much Miri might think you only love her for her... *ahem* ...content.
