^ That's a good place. A beach area with a nice drink under the sun.

I also think London would have been a good place, minus the Reaper invasion.

I don't know. I think Venice would appeal to her more intellectual side.

Assuming that Venice isn't completely under water by then, of course.

It could be the new "Atlantis".

Lets just assume its still in decent condition rather than in the process of becoming the next Atlantis.

This line is excellent : "You give your father too much credit. Yeah, he gave you gifts, but you can be proud of what you've done with them."

One of my favorite lines Posted Image

So been playing my mirmancer, John Shepard some more.. And I got to the line in ME2 "Who said anything about love, I'm just trying to get you into bed."

Obviously I know he was kidding.. but, felt sorry for Miri, not for what he said, but that bloody rape face struck again o__o never stops creeping me the hell out.

That's why I always choose the middle option, even if it sounds cheesy.

Agreed.

Although I must say that none of the dialogues in that particular moment are particularly good, at least from Shepard's end.

Yeah some Shepard lines are my only disappointment about Miranda's romance in ME2.

Best line/option for me so far in the Romance has to be the lil renegade slagging off then the kiss.

Even although Miris line after makes me laugh at Shepard so much, "what the hell was that?!" Ha Shepard seems you're a bad kisser XD

I like the Paragon analogue during that scene. I just think it's sweet and sincere.

I like both, but I go with the Renegade because it feels like the tension the two have comes to a head, and thats when they start to realize that things are more than just fun and games.

This is how I imagine the follow up conversation to their kiss could have gone. I did borrow from several fanfics out there to craft it.

Shepard: "Hey."
Miranda: "Hi."
S: "So…"
M: "So."
S: "So what was it?"
M: "I don't know. It was… nothing? Something? Stress or blowing off steam? Or…"
S: "Something real?"
M: "I have no idea how I feel about that. It's frightening and exhilarating and…This is no time for… for… emotional entanglement! You and I know more about the Collectors than anyone! We know the odds, how unlikely it is that we're coming back alive! What idiotic bunch of hormones thought that now was a great time for love?"
S: "Love?"
M: "That's not what I… I mean…"
S: "Is that how you feel?"
M: "I don't know."
S: "Do you want to find out?"
M: "Yeah. I do. So don't die! You promise me, damn it!"
S: "Miranda, I already died once. I don't plan on doing it again. Even more now, knowing that I might have something to come back for, someone to live and fight for. But I can't promise you that. But what I am promising is that you're worth it to me. Am I worth it to you?"
M: "Yes... you are. You are worth it."

I wonder....if you choose "I promise" in ME2, does it change the whole "No Promises" Theme in Mass Effect 3? What the about the scene in Sanctuary when Miri says, "Promise me you'll be careful?"

Wondered that on my first playthrough as well...I don't think it does change anything, though.

I didn't made the promise in ME2 and she repeatedly said "no promises" in ME3. What about you?

I was just thinking this because it's the same in every gameplay I have seen so far.

Ditto, I love both results, but the Renegade more for this reason, all that tension that started after you first met TIM, finally reaches a "explosive" passionate climax

Also, Shepard giving her a cheeky grin with Miri blushing and saying "And stop grinning dammit " Is unmissable lol

Debating deleting my Mirmancer and starting over.. not sure if I'm fond of the name John

I said "No Promises." It made the scene more emotional, because there were chances they we could die. It was like a way of showing that in times like this, even the Commanding Officer worries. I Love the Hug as well. It shows how far Miri and I (My Shepard) have gone throughout ME2.

I don't really see the Suicide Mission as the Last Part of ME2. I mostly see LOTSB and especially Arrival being the last Parts of ME2, like an Epiloque split into 2 Parts.

I see Arrival as a fitting Ending, because it leaves you hanging for ME3 a lot better than the after the SM, especially when Harbinger says, "Know this as you die in vain: Your time will come. Your species will fall. Prepare yourselves for the Arrival...." Then he disappears.

Shepard: So why is New York City still in one piece?

Miranda: No idea, the Reapers didn't seem to be interested in destroying it.

Shepard: I sort of thought that destroying New York was something that had to be done if you invaded Earth.?

Miranda: (sighs) You've seen too many science fiction vids.

Shepard: We just stopped a fleet of giant robot cuttlefish that wanted to harvest all organic life with an ancient superweapon.

Miranda: Touché.

Well by 2186, New Orleans will have really had it bad. First there was Katrina. Then there was W's reaction to Katrina. Then there was BP. I think the Reaper invasion will be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

On the topic of Yvonne and Miranda's VA.
As I already said, Yvonne is what makes Miranda.
Without her, Miranda wouldn't be the same. Her voice acting is perfect for Miranda. Tone of voice and the little things that go into it are just as important as personality, because it's how the character is portrayed.
I've read plenty of posts here and on a few other threads that say that Miranda wouldn't be so attractive as a character if it weren't for the VA.
If Bioware was smart, they wouldn't dream of replacing Yvonne unless she absolutely refused the deal.

I'm reading fanfics right now. There's not enough Miranda and M/Shep ones. And the ones that are there all have Shepard as the "Paragon of the Alliance" BS. There needs to be a good Paragade Shepard/Miri where Shepard supports Cerberus and TIM, and shows more of his ruthless side (Killing the hostage in Thane's loyalty mission was one of the coldest and best moves my Shepard ever did. "Hostages are only useful when your opponent cares if they live.") He's an idealist at heart, but he also knows the score and enjoys playing the bad cop. And he has the fierce determination to live and win.

The smart thing to do is save Joram Talid thus not giving the Anti-Human cause a martyr.
You have to make his death look like an acident, you can't just have a human kill him in front of a human C-Sec Officer when one of his arguments was that humans in C-Sec overlook crimes perpretated by other humans.

The only time I've ever killed Talid was when I was playing with my Renegon FShep (mainly because prior to that I had no idea you even could).

I have just the opposite problem in fanfic. I have trouble finding well-characterized Shepards. They aren't interesting or fun to read about. The author always seems too hung up on making then badass instead of an interesting character. I want to read stories, not wish-fulfillment.
