I think it's a fairly plausible idea. People aren't necessarily rational about that type of thing.

To get that Cortez line, Just lock in Miri before going to his Drink at the bar.
Once there say "I'm hurt. Why aren't you looking over here?"
Cortez will say "Who says I'm not? But, I hear you have a lady waiting for you."
Then it continues like normal with the toast.
Yet another of Shepard's many many bros.
Minus Joker, Chakwas, K&G (possibly), and the ME2 crew (and Liara cuz she's a creep like that), who would know of Shepard's relationship with Miranda? The only leak there would be Joker, and I think even he would keep his mouth shut if he knows what's good for him. Anyways, that's a plot oversight imo. Garrus might talk to a few Vega about Shepard and mention Miranda, but he'd also probably have the sense to swear Vega to secrecy. And I don't see Vega as a complete idiot like most people.

Strange. Cortez speaks to my Shepard as if he has no romance. "I head a few ladies have shown interest but you haven't bitten."LanceSolous13 wrote...
I wonder what Cortez would say about Miri? During his "Friendship" drinking, all he says is "I hear you have a lady waiting for you." I really liked this. Simple line that tells me a lot about him.
Were you locked in with her?

I don't think Miri would call him an oaf or at least be so straightfoward about it. She never outright insults someone, She's just a bit condecending.
"Clearly you were a mistake" sounds kind of forward to me.

Well, if Vega were really belligerent toward her, that might be different.

And like it or not, it does add a sort of interesting dynamic to Vega's character.

I believe so. What constitutes as locked in? "Nothing's changed" or the apartment scene?jtav wrote...

Apartment scene, I think.

I think, on the Normandy, Shepard and Miri's relationship would be no secret. EDI is a blabbermouth (even Liara calls her such) and Javik is trolling around the same floor that they had passionate sex on with his "Emotion Sense". By the way, He brought up Miri when I talked to him at one point. Is this a romance spesific thing or just coincidence?

Did you lock in with Miri? You lock in the romance at the appartment. Went to Liara's lunch, Kaidan's Dinner, and Cortez's drinking right after (Made a save before all 4 lock in points so I could change later for curisoity's sake) All were treated as Friendship (even if Liara still seemed like she was making a pass, she was friendzoned)

You mean the whole "There was a human female here" bit? That's just a thing he says, it isn't romance specific.

I failed to account for EDI and her tendency to gossip, for lack of a better word.
And Javik really probably doesn't care about what Shepard does on his own time, and he certainly wouldn't go talking to the crew that he avoids because of it. I think it comes up regardless. He's just mentioning the people who were former members of the crew as he also mentions Thane and Jack.

Thins are really moving fast now. I'm too lazy to go back a lot of pages, did anything interesting happened or was announced?
"Frosty Rear Admiral" is Vega's complete nickname for Miranda.
"Frosty" for short.

I'd like to thank Shep for following up with "Thank you, EDI." With much sarcasm.

Hell, Someone write banter between Cortez and Vega over Miri.
Or Javik's reason for trying to throw her out the Airlock....
Miranda: I've been called worse...
Javik: And I hear you rebelled against your creator.
Miranda: In a manner of speaking, yes.
Javik: You sound happy about it.
Miranda: Satisfied would be the word.
Javik: Distressing. We should throw you out the airlock.

Indifferent towards Cortez, I would suppose.
As for EDI, I think they could get along eventually, but it would initially be like in ME2, "Don't get me started on unshackling a damned AI".

The romance between Joker and EDI....I honestly have no idea how she'd react to that.
And, come to think of it, I don't think she and Wrex are ever mentioned together, and he's the only squaddie to never return to the Normandy. Wrex is hard for me to judge. He's charasmatic but he's still a Krogan.
