Welcome, YoMoFoz.
"Miss Lawson" and "Commander" seem to be their affectious nicknames for each other.

"Scared, Miss Lawson?
Cautious, Commander Shepard."

"Oh, pardon me, commander."

"Still impatient, commander?
Still trying to mantain control, Miss Lawson?"

I forgot about these. They are indeed some kinds of nicknames they use to tease each other.

BTW sorry about the nickname/surname mistake, I always do this stupid error :pinched:

Straight female here. I just think she's awesome. The ass shots are highly annoying. I also think the most erotic moment is turning her down for sex in ME2. Don't know how common that is.

How the heck would her belt switch sides? Wouldn't that require an entirely different model?

That could very well be the answer but not certain.  Pay close attention.  Her hair even seems off.

Yeah, the whole model is mirrored for some strange reason (though most noticeable with the belt due to the distance), and it reverts after the pan behind Shepard's head.

I like Miri. Miranda probably would take some time getting used to it, but I think that she'd see it as affectionate enough.

Frosty Rear Admiral. What happened to that?

I think "Miri" is strictly off limits. It's used only by a man who hurt her deeply. I could see Shep teasing her with "'Randa" though and that making her smile.

New here. :wizard:
So what do you think is Shepard's nickname for Miranda? I don't think Shepard would call her 'Miri' since that's what Niket calls her and it might remind her of him and all. And Oriana calls her 'Randa' which Shepard could as well, but would he have a unique name for her or just call her by her name (Miranda)?

Also, I love their banter. That's one of the reasons why I ship them. It's fun watching Miranda's softer side and get playful with Shepard, you know, with her being cold, intimidating and all.

Aside from just calling her Miranda, I always imagined him greeting her with "Hey Beautiful". It may be a little boring, but sometimes simple is just fine.

Agreed.

Playing through ME3 again, I love how nobody seems to particularly give a crap that Javik is a prothean. Well... Nobody except for Liara. Since Miranda doesn't have any dialogue directed towards him or about him at all, how do you think she would react?

I'd go with treating Javik like any other crew member. Which for Miranda is probably along the lines of, as long as you do your job and stay out of my way were fine.

Artistic licence. They'd just used a mirror image. :P

Probably. I think she'd be really curious to hear all about the Protheans, though.

Quoting this for no better reason than I like it so much. Why must all good scenes of Miranda be in the ending, damn it?

Why do I get the feeling that there would be a "genetic engineering was punishable by death in the Empire" line from him? Either that or this:

Miranda: We're not letting that Reaper-Rachni hybrid queen onto the ship.

Shepard: It agreed to help us.

Miranda: It was created by the Reapers, who knows if it could betray us as soon as we bring it aboard? I think we'd be better off blasting the thing out of the cargo hold as soon as we leave the atmosphere.

Javik: I like this human, she understands.

To which Miranda can always reply that she killed/intends to kill the guy who did it, so no worries there Image IPB

As would... Pretty much anyone, I would assume.

The only other Javik-related dialogue I could imagine would be him remarking about the engine room if Shepard romanced her. The minute I heard that Protheans can sense what happened in a room just by touching a part of it that's all I could think of.

*In the engine room*

Shepard: So you can sense people who've lived here and events that have taken place? What can you tell me about this place?

Javik: *leans down and touches the floor* There was a quarian here, as well as 2 others. I also sense a very violent, very powerful human female. Also... Oh.... Oh my.... No, this is awful....

S: What is it?

J: I need to wash my hands...

I would've loved it if Javik had something to say about every ME2 squadmate.

On Kasumi:
Javik: The human who occupied this room is a puzzling one. A study in contrasts. She responded with humor, yet carried great sorrow. She secluded herself from others yet little escaped her notice. She was an expert at stealth. An assassin?
Shepard: A thief, actually.
Javik: Thievery was not common in my cycle. Few would even attempt it without both limbs intact.

But anyway back to Miranda, I'm not fond of "Miri" as a nickname. I don't think it suits her. Maybe as a child, but then again she didn't have a normal childhood. And of course the Niket association tarnished it further. And I don't see "Randa" either. I'm thinking Miranda is the type of person whose full name suits her most.

I basically agree. I much prefer Miranda to Miri. Though Miss Lawson does work.

I wish I would have kissed her after this moment. I can't help the Romantic Tension. I mean, look at this gif. The way she comes close to you, and the way you hold her. After telling Oriana, "Come on, Ori. I think we had enough of Father's hospitality," a Paragon Interrupt appears, allowing me to walk to Miri, pull her towards me (Gently, because she's tired!), and kiss her passionately<3. Dammit BioWare!:crying:

I wouldn't read too much into that thread being stickied, tbh. I don't mean that as a pessimistic statement. I just think it's easy to over-interpret that kind of thing.
