Too nice, not appropriate.

I prefer the original. I know, I'm a mean person. I have accepted that.

That's boring. Let's commit crimes instead.
For a greater good open to interpretation, of course.

Oh come on. It's fun to lightly troll the kid once in a while but don't all just hate on the poor soul.

I do remember it. And am hoping to bring it back in some form at some point in the future.

Can't help it. It's been a particularly bad day. I'll stop now.

This got buried, but am I the only one who sees Miranda proposing in a very unromantic fashion post-war?

I saw that, and yeah, I could see marriage being handled like that between them, given how things tend to be playful and a bit indirect.

ooh can we assign other roles?

Let's see...

jtav's the resident chronicler (fanfic writer) who never runs out of hoops to make the characters jump into.
MisterJB may just be the guy I disagree with most of the time:bandit:
Ieldra2 is the wise old one (the name actually means Elder apparently)
flemm's the voice of reason
Vertigo is our dataminer/informant
Dr Doctor is our dialogue specialist
Asakawa's our most prominent artist
yesika's in charge of most Miranda related social movements

Modesty prohibits me from coming up with my own title...

Sorry if I missed someone but that's all I can think of at the moment.:innocent:

I like to think of myself as one of the crafty new guys who has a jack of all trades, master of none of the above, and I can be the guy who is as obsessed with Miranda as MEFAN but not in your face about it.

If she took his name, Shepard would have to start calling her "Mrs. Shepard" when they are teasing each other.

Crafty New Somewhat Obsessed Jack of All Trades...

Sounds good.

I still remember a small dialogue I made.

Shepard: Take this. It belonged to my mother.

Miranda: Shepard, wait. I can't ta-

Shepard: Miranda, I'm not proposing. Just, keep it.

Miranda: Keep it?

Shepard: Yeah. Keep it, until you beg me to propose you.

Miranda: With that plan you're gonna die single, commander.

Shepard: *kisses Miranda* I won't.

I think she'd keep her surname. Miranda Shepard doesn't roll off the tongue.

Well, Miranda might want to keep her name, and if Shepard complained, she could say, "I can't take your name because I like it when you call me Miss Lawson." Posted Image

Though it's a playful thing, so I think it would work regardless Posted Image

I have a habit of doing that.
Just ask Crutch, lol.
I unearthed his old Miranda motivational poster somehow. And accidently.

I can see it either way. She proposes, he does, she takes his name, she keeps her own.

It's all good.

A while ago (way before the endings) I had a crazy thought of a huge wedding, everyone invited and having a good time... and then they pull a Bilbo and just vanish in the middle of a speech at the reception.

And are never seen again.

I see her keeping her name. But, I guess its the romantic sap in me, but I much prefer to see it being a romantic dinner proposal with Oriana in attendance, and Shepard being a nervous wreck and making a fool of himself, but everything turning out all happy.

But I also see Miranda as keeping her name.

Shepard: Scared Mrs. Shepard?

Miranda: Cautious Commander Shepard.

Shepard: It doesn't have the same ring to it.

Miranda: I think I'll stick with Lawson.

I think she would go by Lawson when they tease each other. And when it comes to formal work. But she would definitely still not be shy to consider herself a Shepard.
