Some characters change slides depending on the ending: scarred Jacob talking to people in Destroy, Jacob and Brynn helping some refugee in Synthesis; while others change depending on certain in-game conditions; Jack with her students if they provided support, Jack mourning over graves if they were on the frontlines; and then there are others like Samara; Samara and Falere on Thessia, Samara killing a mercenary; that I have no idea how you earn their different slides.

Probably by ignoring Samara's mission entirely as I don't think its possible to kill Falare without killing Samara moments earlier than that.

Now I wonder if it's really a good idea to put the students on the frontlines.

Well, the ending suggests not a single Grissom student survived but I imagine their efforts helped save lives.
It's up to you to decide if we should allow any who want to fight to do so, even if they are barely more than children. I say it is.

I still don't know what to make of the Control slide.

I hope what it means is somebody has been paying a little attention to the "control" thematic that is present in Miranda's ME3 content, but that remains sadly under-exploited.

-control chip (MIranda regetting this, as it would have deprived Shepard of his freedom)
-Henry controlling Miranda/Orianna, Miranda rebelling against this (that's as far as it really gets in the game)
-Henry being assigned by TIM to learn how to control the Reapers by experimenting on sentients
-Cerberus depriving human beings of their freedom via indoctrination (also linked to Sanctuary, I think)
-Miranda opposing the prior two things (this does happen in the game, but it doesn't receive sufficient focus)

Logically, Miranda (and Orianna) would have issues with Control, possibly because the Reapers themselves being controlled might be perceived by them as problematic, but also because the new Guardian has too much "control" of galactic civilisation, there is not enough freedom, etc.

Damn, and I remember seeing that putting the Grissom students on the frontlines = slightly more war assets. Not regretting that anymore.

I like that idea.Whole control ending epilogue leaves me creeped out. Have to try and build a Shep who would make that choice and then imagine Miranda opposing the new guardian.

This seems almost too good to be true.

Got to be prepared. As Miranda says: The Reapers are still out there.

She may drop the 'Shepard did everything right' bit though... :P

My Main Shep put them in the support ranks. My Shep holds a similar view to Bester in B5(telepaths are too valuable to be wasted on the frontlines etc). In this case it's talented young biotics but same idea.

Well, I dunno. It's all in the game, I didn't make anything up. Unfortunately, the mission on Sanctuary in particular just glosses over what should have been powerful stuff. And Miranda's content comes across as a loyalty mission rehash, when it could have been about so much more than that.

Still, the ideas are there, they are just extremely underdeveloped.

The idea that someone actually took it into acount and made an unique slide for a specific ending, I mean.

Well, they did that (for whatever reason). But yeah, that's the "I hope" part Posted Image

I sort of picture Control being similar to the ending to the Watchmen movie. The Reapers just decimated the whole of civilization, inexplicably rebuilt the infrastructure they destroyed and disappeared without a trace. It's less that the Reapers are taking an active role in the galaxy so much as it's everyone living in fear that they'll restart the cycle at any time.

Yeah, they seem to be studying the Reapers. Beyond that, it's anyone's guess. So, the idea that they are just curious is plausible enough. Or that they are apprehensive about what might happen in the future, as you say.

All of these are good ideas, really. I just particularly like the idea that there is a connection with Miranda's content in the main game.

And it'll all go to hell when they discover the Catalyst's personal datapad in a Westerlund News mailroom! Or will it?!

Ha. I'm just kidding. No one would believe a word he says.

I like the idea of her fighting the Guardian because it always seemed to be the kind of thing Cerberus was *for* Fighting against the powerful force seeking to control humanity and seeking to rise to its level. That the entity is now her lover instead of the Council just makes good drama. I wonder if it can be said to love her.

Except it just sounds like fighting for the sake of fighting.

"fight the power man!"- level of arbitrariness.

The assertion that it will seek to "control humanity" or anyone else for that matter is baseless in anything other than the renegade version and even that I'd have to double check.

Well, it could be that she is just... wary of the whole situation. Studying what has happened, trying to understand it better.

What I'm partly curious about is the location, the "Base," if that's what it's supposed to be. It's very different from the other slides.

@JB, wow, that's gorgeous.

I haven't seen or read Watchmen in years, but doesn't the movie just end with Manhattan killing Rorschach, then Rorschach's journal being delivered to the newspaper people? How did you connect the two?

I wonder what Miri would have looked like if she had an Appearance in ME1? Would she look the same?

I'd imagine so. I'm sure she'd have the same outfit because if she didn't change it from 2 to 3, she wouldn't change it from 1 to 2.
Otherwise, she would look a couple of years younger, obviously.

It's hinted at that the truth may have come out eventually, but not confirmed. Basically it's up to the viewer/reader to make up their minds about what happens after.
