I'd love to have her as a squadmate and see how the Normandy evac scene would be during the "run to the laser"

Shepard:Go with your sister,Miranda.Protect her.
Miranda:I'll always love you.Come back to me.

Shepard: "Miranda, You have your family waiting for you."
Miranda: "Shepard, you are my family."
Shepard: "I-I...I love you Miranda. Know that; Remember that."
Miranda: "I will."

I want both. Miranda wanting to recruit Petrovsky and his men to her team works as a hook for her involvement.

In Destroy, does anyone hesitate to place the name plaque on the wall?

Depends on how high you have your EMS.

Does anyone feel that Vasir confrontation was left a little too isolated from the rest of the mission/game?

"You're just as bad, Shepard."
"Nu uh! No, I'm not!"
"Whatever." *dies*

I was very much disappointed that in the end, I couldn't shoot her in the face. Repeatedly.  And maybe get that infinite ammo gun from the beam run and just keep unloading until I get bored. Seriously. Until the holokid came along I never before wanted a collection of pixels to burn in a fire and die horribly as much as I did Vasir. But no, they force Shepard to just stand there as she dies. Sad.

That should've tipped me off that more disappointment was in store:lol:

funny: all i wanted to do was recruit her, another renegade spectre - finally! Wean her away from the SB and it's all golden! Vasir was badass.

Yeah I can understand her motives for working with the SB and her MO is much the same as Shepard's MO. I always choose the paragon charm option, where Shepard says "Thats it? I sacrificed human lives to save the council blah, blah, blah. I hope your not counting on a hostage to stop a bullet."

But Vasir's failure is that she commited an act of senseless terrorism to simultaneously kill Liara for the Broker, and to cover up her involvement with the Broker (which is admittedly a weak reason; My Shepard gave Kohoku's info to the Broker in ME1). And her whole, "you worked for Cerberus despite them being terrorists" didn't apply to Shepard. She killed random innocent people just because her Liara doesn't like her boss. Shepard joined Cerberus because, despite their methods, he believes in their prime directive of advancing and protecting humanity at all costs, and they're the only people who acknowledge the Reaper threat and are actively devoting all of their resources to cells that will further the cause.

Chapter 12 was great! Looking forward to 13.
Wondering if Miranda will take the job at the Citadel bar...a small dialogue between her and the Turian bartender in Dark Star that got Shepard drunk would be funny.
Also, I don't think Erin can be trusted.

Hey, thanks. Not sure Miranda shakes her tail for just anyone. :P
And as regards to Erin, interesting...very interesting...

Of course, next up is the 'unlucky for some' chapter 13.

Okay, I just played the Extended Cut DLC knowing what to expect for Miranda content. My friend advised me to do the PT where I romanced Liara so that I could make the most out of the DLC but I was like heck no, I'm doing my canon first where I choose Miranda and destroy!

Truth be told, I was expecting to still not feel any closure or any peace but dang that flashback scene of Miranda was like magic because just knowing Shepard thought of her before he died was heartwarming. Before, he always thought of Liara, his ex-girlfriend, before he died or whatever. In addition to that, knowing that destroy doesn't obliterate everyone or reduces society to the stone age makes me optimistic that Shepard will find her!

I always liked that liked that line. It was more badass than the renegade which doesn't usually happen. Except for me it was more like "I sacrificed the council without blinking an eye". Even more badass.

In any case I still mourn the missed opportunity of making lead and Vasirface salad... She dies regardless, why don't you let me execute her??

But anyway back to Miranda....

See, Miranda would've executed her^_^

The flashback is really nice. I guess you got the "romance" epilogue slide in destroy as well?

What is this "romance" epilogue slide, out of curiosity? I've only seen Destroy once and it was my girlfriend's Liaramance file.

Would anyone be interested in helping me parse the betrayal line? I recognize the argument Miranda is making--the acts performed were so beyond the pale that any use of the knowledge feels like condoning the suffering of the victims. I'm just trying to figure out why Miranda would have said that because I'm about to put her in the similar situation of using the Sanctuary data to study indoctrination. Therefore, it seems badly done to simply dismiss something directly on point as OOC. The best I can come up with is that Miranda is that Miranda's consequentialism is clashing with a more instinctive ethic. Humans being pulped isn't something she's willing to acknowledge as having any benefit because that would mean there's a point, however theoretical, where repeating the experiments could be justified.

Nevermind, flemm. I did some digging around and found it myself. Wasn't aware it even existed... I thought it was like Zaeed only seeming to pop up for Destroy epilogues, except in this case different variations of Miranda pop up for Control and Synthesis, but she makes no appearance on Destroy.

Hell, maybe I'm wrong about Zaeed now. But I doubt it... either that or my game's bugged.

Not sure if you can see it but the file name is: End03_D_FlashForward_MirandaLI
So that confirms that this shows up for LI status Miranda (and similarly for Jack)

This is what shows up otherwise (Destroy ending):

Blazes, I have no idea why Miranda never showed up for my girlfriend on Destroy. She was most definitely alive.

Thanks, Vertigo!

For me, it's the knowledge that there will be no dark age which contributes most to my satisfaction with the EC. Then comes the fact that my favorite ending turns out almost exactly as I envisioned it, and then that Miranda has a nice flashback and good epilogue slides.

All in all, I'm rather content.

I remember speaking with Sky shortly after the endings leaked in those tumultuous final days before launch. I outlined what I wanted to see fixed with the vanilla endings: more closure overall, some sort of proof that there wouldn't be an out-and-out galactic dark age, and some proof that the Normandy SR2 would eventually leave the planet.

Suffice it to say, I got what I wanted in that department.

As far as I'm concerned, Miranda never said that. She didn't, in my games. Not even in the one where I destroyed the CB.
