And it would be a cat like this.

I like this human. He understands.

In all seriousness, I do like some of those ideas. Horseback riding seems like something Miranda would enjoy. Maybe it's the aristocratic side of equestrian events. Also the birds and fish. There I guess it's the exotic side of things.

While unrelated to the spirit of my comment about cats, I like those ideas as well. I don't think Miranda would like to be burdened with too much stuff, though. She'll appreciate the birds and fish, but won't have any.

Miranda would most certainly enjoy horse back riding.

It's true. Miranda doesn't like canines. She always did seem more of a feline person

Absolutely....

...where did that picture of Miranda stroking a white cat sitting on her lap come from? It's impossible to dislodge...

Shepard: You have a cat?

Miranda: His name is Operative Fuzzy.

Shepard: Operative Fuzzy?

Miranda: I didn't pick the name. He's a prototype holographic decoy program for field agents, the Illusive Man cut funding for the cell that developed it and I couldn't just let the poor thing sit in storage.

Shepard: So Operative Fuzzy's fine, but you don't like having Sophie onboard?

Miranda: Operative Fuzzy doesn't hop up on the bed when we're trying to sleep, and besides I keep his explosive self-destruct feature disabled while he's onboard.

Shepard: Well, at least he won't scratch the furniture.

Perhaps not suitable to her lifestyle, true. She'd probably want Orianna to have them, though Posted Image

Miranda: I want you to have a normal life... cats, exotic birds and fish... things I could never have... because I couldn't be bothered to feed them. And changing the litter box in between missions was too much of a pain. Shepard, take her... and buy her a kitten.

For some reason, I see Miranda as seriously taking a liking to horses. It might be one of her more human qualities. Even she has her hobbies, and I see her as being able to share it with Shepard. She'd like her aristocratic equestrian horse, but she'd also bond with it on a personal level. Imagine Yvonne's character in Killer Elite. Miranda is less of a farm girl though.

I also see Shepard and Miranda as owning a small estate in NSW, even though their normal residence will most likely be the SR-2.

Shepard: So Miranda... We've been together for a while now, but I don't think we've ever discussed this: what are your hobbies? Anything in particular that catches your interest?

Miranda: I'm going to regret this... Well Shepard, since you asked... One thing I've always wanted since I was a little girl was my own pony.

S: A pony?

M: Yes. Don't laugh.

S: Laugh? I would never laugh at that...

Hmph. I always cringe when someone brings up something as Miranda's "human" qualities. As if the traits we all love her for aren't human. Enough to send me into a rant every single time, but I'll restrain myself. This time.

Grrr....

I like the image of Miranda on horseback though.

perhaps I phrased it wrong. It would be a more... down to earth quality to her. a passion that she would enjoy for her own benefit, a pasttime that doesn't involve anything beyond a love of horses.

what I mean by human quality is that you never really see too much of the side where she's not business or professional. Yeah, there's the inferred high-class tastes of classical music and other assorted pasttimes that go along those lines including horseback riding, and then of course there is her interactions with both Oriana and Shepard. But I think she is the type of person who genuinely loves horses, simply for the sake of loving them. She's not some dirty boots cowgirl or jockey for jockying, but she would definitely have a favorite horse whom she loves and grooms and rides herself for the sake of loving that horse. That's a pretty intimate passion for someone like Miranda.

Where do you think they'd live? There are a ton of posibilities.

I could see them living on the SR-2 for awhile after the Reapers are defeated while the galaxy rebuilds.

The most obvious choices are Earth and the Citadel, though I can see someone making a case for Illium.

Maybe not Illium. To quote Tela Vasir, "Illium is just Omega with expensive shoes."

Honestly, unless either or both of them get a job that doesn't require strenuous amouns of travelling, they could just live aboard the Normandy, maybe staying for vacation at the condominium that Admiral Ahern left Shepard on Intai'sei.

Well by the time the Normandy gets back Shep will be fully recovered and ready to take the Normandy as his mobile home. Really don't think anyone is going to get in the way of the guy who just beat the reapers.

If you go to Itai'sei in the Galaxy Map the planet info screen says that the Reapers blew up Pinnacle Station and the settlement.

...What condominium? O.o

Illium to me seems to be a big business capital. Loads of corperate headquarters. New York: The Planet. So, I could see the appeal from there. Miranda also expressed appreceation in the place. I think she described it as a "Cultural Marvel" or something.

Pinnacle Station isn't on Intai'sei, it's built onto an asteroid.
