Such Negative Nancys in this thread. Bioware will surely deliver the goods! ...Right? ...Guys?

I'm still bitter over that. I hate to say it but, minus some ****** actions and comments on Liara's part, The reason I hate her character (much the same as Tali) is that her fanbase is freaking rabid and they always get what they want and then go insane with hate when we so much as get a table scrap thrown our way. I'm mad because I was browsing the BSN and looking at threads made by Liara-mancers for Liara-mancers about why Miranda specifically doesn't deserve more content.

A seductive e-mail would be great, Thank you!

It won't even be that. It will be some generic run-of-the-mill email you get after Sanctuary, and maybe slightly different depending on if she lives or dies (in the event of the latter, she sends it to you before she goes to Sanctuary and it's worded kind of final, like she expects that something big is going on there and she might not survive.)

As I said, We'll only get this after the azure queen has gotten her 10+ hours of dlc.
And then WE will get hate for the email, calling us the whiny entitled losers that make the fanbase look bad.

Really? That's not on Liara-mancers. Not. On. I can understand why people romance her, but she always struck me as more 'puppy' than 'partner on equal footing'. I felt like Shep could tell her to jump and Liara would ask "how high" whereas Miranda would raise an eyebrow and call him an idiot.

No that's Ashley. Liara would jump and break her leg.

When will we ever get more Miranda?

We'll get a 10 word email, maybe, MAYBE, after Liara gets her own anime film, another comic book arc, another LotSB dlc, a closure dlc, and some type of physical token (dog tags, etc.) dlc. If we're REALLY lucky, we might get a team uniform dlc pack that has EDI wearing armor similar to what Miranda got in ME2. Mind you, none of this will happen until a very long time from now.

And then all the Liara fans will cry bloody murder when we get that 10 word email after they have gotten their additional 10+ hours of dlc in addition to the anime film, comic books, and probably regular novel too. They'll denounce us as shallow underage boys who only like Miranda because of 'DAT ASS' and then whine about how BioWare never gives Liara enough focus and content.

And BioWare will see this and decide that Miranda did get too much content and from then on acknowledge her as the reason why ME3 was so disappointing then proceed to make an additional 4 hour DLC featuring Liara and her pregnancy to 5 blue babies.

Because the Mass Effect fanbase is awesome like that.

I have to back this comment as I feel exactly the same. Well said.

I'm gone for one week and this thread becomes a Liara hating thread. Here's hoping it won't get closed for staying off-topic.

I would love more Miranda content, but Liaramancers aren't to blame for Liara's extra content. That ony happened for Tali. Liara got extra content because Walters is crazy about her, probably thinks she's a real alien and thinks she's his one, true, canon love. Blame the writers, not her fans because they asking for more character content is not really different from what we're doing for more Miranda content.

Sorry, that's my fault. I was browsing threads and came across like 30 miranda smearing threads, almost all written by liara and tali mancers. I'm surprised a lot of the Ashley fans aren't saying anything against us, and in a lot of cases even supporting us. I misjudged her fanbase, but I still despise her character.

Sadly, I think these two things may come to pass.

And not just because of rabid Liara fans either.

That is the main reason why I noticed/liked Miranda's character. It is because out of all of the characters in the ME universe Miranda's has the most deepest character development of them all. You start off disliking her, but after her loyalty mission in ME2 you start to see her change for the better and you think (well I thought anyway) "what amazing emotional/deep character developtment Miranda has!"Posted Image

I actually liked her off the bat. Especially once I started conversing with her on the Normandy. Most of her initial bitterness was gone, and her first couple of chats on the ship were interesting.
Plus, who doesn't like Miranda shooting Wilson?

I defintely hated Miranda on my first playthrough of ME2, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I remember first meeting her in ME2 and how she always acted like she was the "boss." It annoyed me so much that I kept choosing renegade responses, I even chose that one renegade response where you call Miranda a......well you know what I mean. Then I really liked her after her loyalty mission because she didn't act as mean and cold as she did before. She especially opens up to Shepard once he romances her, which I like. Did any one else start out hating Miranda in their first playthrough of ME2?

Personally I was into Miranda from the start. I know it's a more gradual thing for some people, though.

It took Miranda's loyalty mission about saving/relocating her sister to get me to like her. Sibling love is something that I can relate to!Posted Image

Yeah I did, and I loved hating her in the beginning! It's part of what made her character so great. To this day, I sometimes wish there was an option telling her to shut the **** up and get the **** out when Shepard and Miranda first meet. It's part of her character, and it's fun to pry her open as the game goes on. It's kind of an interesting dynamic of her spending 2 years bringing him back and really not caring about him at all, even questioning his ability to further Cerberus' goals, to being lovers by the end of the game. I think she did get a little friendly too fast in ME2 personally. I would have liked to have seen that antagonistic, competitive spirit up to a little before the LM, with her gradually opening up as she see's she can trust Shepard more and more. Then you get to the LM and Miranda is desperate and goes to Shepard for help, and he fights harder than anyone ever has for her for something that doesn't benefit him at all. Now I think there was always attraction from both sides, but after the LM is when the physical attraction starts to become a romantic one.

I was into Miri from the Start as well. She interested me even before I bought ME2. I picked her as My Love Interest before buying the Game. While playing, I fell in Love with Miri EVEN MORE<3.

Ever since I saw this part of the first TV Commercial I've ever seen for ME2 (Shepard Commercial):

Yes, as in, I picked the "are you naturally this ****y..." choice at the beginning.  I thought it was a great way to start off their relationship and see how it went from hate to trust to....looove ;)
hahaha

Yes for RP but for me personally no I didn't hate her, but also didn't like her at the start.

Hey you can't really blame him for that. After all, he did say that he grew to like her as he played the game.
